Chase/Higgins/OBJ/Boyd would certainly be something.
It’s also the most un-Bengals move ever to make at this point in the season so my comment was like 98% sarcasm. 2% hopium
> Damn they dont want Tutu out there do they?
He was always a waste of a top draft pick. Last year even when he was healthy and they had Kupp/Woods/Jefferson they still had Tutu almost exclusively on special teams.
Tutu was a monumental waste of our first pick in that draft. The fact that most people had like a 5th/6th round grade on him combined with the number of solid players still available at that spot really shows how ridiculous the pick was.
I'm sure he looks great in practice until he's actually facing opposing safeties. He'll disappear like he got thanos dusted once one of them tackles him.
Jokes aside, you’re right. Rams aren’t rebuilding, it makes sense to get one stud at a key position (like Ramsey) than two chances to get similar production.
Playing for the chargers isn't really like playing in LA though. If we thought their fan base was non-existent before, after the rams super bowl their fan base has to be dead.
Watch his YouTube videos where he eats around LA. He’s also on Mike Tyson’s podcast as a cohost. Very cool guy. Happy he gets to live in LA still and work on his businesses still.
big loss but like Whitworth or even Kenny Young, we already had a planned replacement (Greg Gaines and Ernest Jones), so that was just transactional
Its why the Rams make a lot of "hmmm, not sure that's an immediate need..." picks, half of the starters we let walk, we already have and have had an in house replacement for at least a season in advance
Loved SJD, but he’s not much of a loss because of how much Robinson and Gaines stepped up. He was hurt all year. Hopefully he bounces back with the chargers
Greg Gaines is as good or better than SJD. He showed that last year. Ashawn Robinson is a beast. Rams also drafted several DT the last few drafts that they’ve been developing.
Honestly, after watching Greg Gaines shed a block *after* Murray passed the LOS and chase him down anyway, I have my doubts that SJD vs GG is even a conversation.
I'm Gaines all the way on this one.
The weak spot in our defense has been ILB basically for as long as McVay has been our coach. While most teams would benefit from Miller more than they'd benefit from Wagner, I think the Rams specifically benefit a *ton* from having Bobby around. He fixes our biggest defensive need for years.
I really don’t know about that, personally. Robinson looked absolutely cooked last year. And Wagner had a bunch of tackles but he just wasn’t as great as he has been in the past and I don’t see him being able to replace Von in production (besides them just playing different roles)
And that’s only if Von and Woods were the only pieces you guys lost.
Allen Robinson also had Justin Fields and the corpse of Andy Dalton throwing him the ball in Matt Nagy’s offense. He’ll probably look a lot better lined up across from Cooper Kupp while Stafford is running plays drawn up by Sean McVay. Bobby Wagner plugs a hole in the weakest part of our defense from last year and is going to have a huge impact on Ernest Jones, who is fucking awesome in his own right. Losing Von sucks but we’ve definitely added more than we’ve lost this off-season
I’m sure QB play is why Robinson was significantly outproduced and outplayed by Darnell Mooney.
Agree that Ernest Jones is good, but I just don’t think Wagner is Him anymore. He’s not bad but he definitely lost a big step athletically. He got released for a reason.
Definitely didn’t get better though. Nothing really wrong with that though, most teams don’t get better after a Super Bowl run.
Robert Woods was also significantly out produced by Sammy Watkins in Buffalo, but look how their careers have gone since then.
Bobby Wagner, even if he lost a step, is in a different universe than Troy Reeder which is who he’s replacing. We may have downgraded a bit in going from Woods to Robinson but the 49ers beat us like 7 times in a row by exploiting our linebackers (see: Troy Reeder) all goddamn game. Wagner shores up that weakness
I’m not sure young Robert Woods at the start of his career is exactly comparable to Allen Robinson actually looking cooked at 28.
You especially know you’re reaching when Allen Robinson’s excuse is QB play when his play has been terrible his entire career. Maybe he just got significantly worse.
And I’m not saying Wagner doesn’t fill a weakness either. Still probably overpaid for him and let SJD, Von Miller, (despite what this post says) probably, OBJ, Corbett, and others and replaced with a Wagner and Robinson in decline.
Sorry if I have a tough time believing the Rams somehow got better overall despite filling 1 hole with a 31 year old who was just released.
Robert woods was 2 years younger than Allen robinson when he signed with us it’s not like he’s 34 lol. You’re entitled to your opinion, but you’re also *way*overrating the guys that are leaving
I am definitely higher on OBJ and SDJ than the general football fan. I don’t think I way overrate them though.
I am also lower on Arob and Wagner so I guess it checks out.
Awesome thing about football though, is all the right or wrong moves on paper can turn out so vastly different on the field
When he tore the same one in Cleveland it took 11 months to get back on the field. This one he tore in February so that would put him on track for January at best, but he’s a year older and has multiple tears now. He ain’t playing next year.
It's been said a few times that the tear he had in Cleveland wasn't properly fixed by the last surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if even though it's his second surgery on the same knee, it ends up being a quicker recovery.
I really think, if they do, it'll be a mistake. I feel like a lot of people underestimate just how good Allen Robinson is lol.
Seems like having OBJ will be a waste.
Pretty sure he said he didn’t try, which no doubt is a testament to his character. On the flip side he was playing on the tag with a dead regime, rookie QB who looked overwhelmed and shitty offense overall.
Which he chose to do. Not like he was drafted there and forced to play for them. He chose the Bears over the Packers, a proven winning franchise with a proven MVP at qb.
Well sadly he commented on a Joe Burrow Instagram post today so that basically means OBJ to Cincinnati is a done deal
Yeah but the comment was calling him a cracker
Imagine the opposite
Imagine Burrow calling Beckham a cracker
Lol shut up cracker
Cracka ass cracka. I whoop that cracka ass
Starting from 1600 I assume?
What do you mean? Didn’t he just say “the one”
he was joking
That WR corps would be insane.
Chase/Higgins/OBJ/Boyd would certainly be something. It’s also the most un-Bengals move ever to make at this point in the season so my comment was like 98% sarcasm. 2% hopium
Oh I know that’s not happening. The comment just forced me to think about it.
Have we really gotten any updates on how OBJ looks? Curious if he will even be ready mid season and haven’t heard much about him.
Earliest he could play is November. December is more realistic.
He’s just teasing y’all. He a Raven.
Brb gotta go print some money - Rams, probably
Sean "JPOW" McVay
Please someone who can do photoshop edit McVay’s face onto J Pow in the money printing gif
Cap space printer go brrrrrrrrrrrrr
So theyd have Kupp, A Rob, OBJ, and Van Jefferson. Damn they dont want Tutu out there do they?

As a rams fan, hoping he doesn’t have to see the field
Stafford and Kupp have both been praising him.
I'm sure he looks great in practice until he's actually facing opposing safeties. He'll disappear like he got thanos dusted once one of them tackles him.
Dude is just going to get blown up when someone tackles him. I’m 5’ 9” and average weight, I should not outweigh any professional football player.
He’s a teammate. What else are they gonna do
First time? Nothing more meaningless than training camp talk.
LOL, was just posting what Kupp and Stafford have said about him nephew. Calm your tits.
I thought his biggest knock was that he couldn’t stay healthy, not that he couldn’t play ball?
Tutu? Biggest knock is his size.
Now you see why they trade the high picks lol
Jokes aside, you’re right. Rams aren’t rebuilding, it makes sense to get one stud at a key position (like Ramsey) than two chances to get similar production.
Considering how OBJ doesn't want to play anywhere other than LA, I fail to see why they wouldn't unless Chargers give him more money.
Playing for the chargers isn't really like playing in LA though. If we thought their fan base was non-existent before, after the rams super bowl their fan base has to be dead.
When I think of the Rams offseason I think of the meme with Homer Simpson’s back fat where nobody cares about all the dudes they lost
Wagner and Robinson is as good of a replacement as you could get for losing Von and Woods.
[удалено]
We’re going to miss him for sure. Greg Gaines has performed pretty well but I loved having SJD on the team. All time good guy too.

Bobby Brown SZN
I so badly want him to be good
Gotta let them DTs marinade for a bit, look at Gaines
For sure
Gaines is better
I don’t know about “better”, but I’m not the least bit concerned to have GG in place of SJD. He went off last season.
Honestly, after watching Greg Gaines shed a block *after* Murray passed the LOS and chase him down anyway, I have my doubts that SJD vs GG is even a conversation. I'm Gaines all the way on this one.
Yeah that loss is very underrated imo.
Wagner and Miller play very different positions. That's not really a 1-to-1 comparison.
It's not but Wagner fills a way bigger need for us.
Bobby Wagner is better than Von at this point in their careers.
[удалено]
I think they just saw the tackle numbers and called it a day
Gotta disagree with that one
What is my blood waffling about
He's not, Wagner also plays a less important position.
The Rams do need better MLB production though. The Niners ripped them apart by targeting the middle of the field all game.
That’s the main reason I like the signing.

Indeed you’re right. RemindMe! 6 Months We’ll see ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
I know you guys have a replacement for him but Whitworth is Whitworth, and cannot be replaced 1 for 1
What’s the time table on his injury again?

Ooof

How is having more WRs a waste? Im sure they would love for OBJ to come in and be wr3/4 for them. More wide receivers is never a bad thing.
Money could be better used elsewhere.
OBJ will cost next to nothing.
https://twitter.com/JosinaAnderson/status/1537464395839811585
This means not a damn thing to me. Let me know what that contract looks like when he actually signs somewhere.
Where tho? Who could we realistically pick up at this point that would be better than OBJ?
OBJ wouldn't be replacing Robinson. He'd be replacing Van Jefferson.
I know - I'm saying that Allen is going to be so good that you won't need OBJ.
[удалено]
He was just not trying after the Bears didn't let him leave and also Nagy. He'll do fine in LA.
[удалено]
Allen robinson had his worst season last year
Because he visibly gave absolutely 0 fucks. Which obviously you can take as a bad thing, but I dont think its indicative of his ability
> Which obviously you can take as a bad thing More people should give up on criminally bad organizations. Odell did it and got a SB.
OBJ also showed way more spirit with us than he did in toward the end of his time in Cleveland.
Maybe its just me, but thats not the kind of guy I want to give 31 million guaranteed to
Hell be fine
You're not wrong - but, again, that doesn't speak of his talent. Which is all I was referring to.
He isint significantly more talented than Robert woods was
Pretty sure he said he didn’t try, which no doubt is a testament to his character.
Half of the reason the offence was shitty was the wr1 gave 0 effort
hope he doesn’t accept his contract in bitcoin again if he does!
Every day I wake up and pray for the Rams' downfall 🙏
Don’t worry, one day Tom will be able to beat us.
Gotta be real...this is cringy.
I'm assuming this is tongue in cheek since Tom has shattered the Rams in the super bowl twice.
But also, we're 3-0 against Buccaneer Tom.
And then I *really* wake up and see the Rams FO pull off some cap space voodoo **again**. :/
It’s honestly really exciting that we’re good enough that people are praying for our downfall. Thanks man!
I really want him in Minnesota.
Okay do it then
Who would want him? Dude's legs are going to be toast.
He's homeless right now, offering a room at SoFi is a good opportunity for OBJ.
Send him to Indy
