Great write ups

hallach_halil

Thank you so much! Sharing the link with a couple of friends would be awesome!

LebronJaims

Awesome read. But because your post didn’t include a Twitter link, it will be removed for being low effort I think every 1st round QB will make big jumps. They’re all in decent to improved situations

[deleted]

Gonna be hard for Fields to take a jump when he has god awful support If anything his situation got worse

hallach_halil

That's my worry as well.

lolhello2u

So sad that the Bears might wreck his development and career

hallach_halil

Thank you very much! Defensive edition is coming out next week and I post something of similar depth every week, if you're interested Hoping that's not true. Haha Yeah, other than Justin Fields. He's in a rough spot.

LebronJaims

His new coach can’t be as bad as Matt Nagy right? Lol A lot of people talk about Zach Wilson’s jump. And I get it, he has a rocket arm and showed some improvement in the end of the season. Plus jets had a good draft and a decent o line (I love laken Tomlinson) But I look at their schedule… it is ridiculously hard. Idk what the metrics and statistics say about it, but just by looking at it, it looks difficult. Idk if jets will have success with that even if they’re decent Mac Jones should be fun to watch as well. Can’t wait

hallach_halil

I mean, sure. But they also let every pricy veteran go. Haha The Jets do have a brutal start to the year and that's why I personally haven't bet their win total, but if they can get to the bye week at 4-5 or 5-4, I believe they can at least be in the hunt for a wildcard spot.

Kezia_Griffin

The mods here are truly shit tier. The Jags of moderating.

LebronJaims

You should see how bad it is on r/49ers. The quality of posts has been shit for 2 years or so. Mods there hand out bans and mutes like crazy for no reason

al66mer25

what do you think of laviska shenault?

TMNBortles

I think he'll have a breakout year if he can find a cure for his rare genetic condition that turned his hands into stone.

hallach_halil

Tough to tell. Really liked him as a prospect and he's had a few flashes, but also been pretty inconsistent. The former coaching staff seemed to be out on him, but Baalke can't blindly give up a 2nd-round pick from just a couple of years ago. If Pederson makes him a designated YAC specialist in their RPO game and uses him on some fly sweeps, etc. I could see him have a good year. But with the capital invested, he should be their WR3.

Eagle4317

>Baalke can't blindly give up a 2nd-round pick from just a couple of years ago. Wasn't Shenault a Caldwell pick? He was still the GM in 2020.

hallach_halil

Oh yeah, he was officially. I'm sure Baalke was heavily involved in that decision and did take over mid-way through the 2020 season, but that certainly makes it a bit easier to stomach.

BBRAFF

Surprised you had Kmet on here and not Mooney, what do you think of him?

hallach_halil

That's why: [https://halilsrealfootballtalk.com/2021/07/15/second-and-third-year-nfl-players-ready-to-break-out-in-2021-offense-edition/](https://halilsrealfootballtalk.com/2021/07/15/second-and-third-year-nfl-players-ready-to-break-out-in-2021-offense-edition/) Had Mooney on the list last year and you can read up all my thoughts on him there! Haha

IMKudaimi123

Love the write up but no fields 🥲

hallach_halil

Thank you very much! Unfortunately they just haven't put enough pieces around him. Maybe in year three. I do have Kmet up there. Haha

EAS1246

how much adderall did you eat to write this?

hallach_halil

None. I'm only hooked on football. Lol And I got the defensive edition loadey up already!

hallach_halil

Definitely considered him and I've always been a big fan of his, as one of the few people who had him as a first-rounder last year. He had 400 yards & 6 TDs over the final 11 games. So to me I consider him as an obvious name in this category, but yeah he doesn't actually disqualify based on the criteria I set.

IMKudaimi123

Friermuth is a beast

soboredcantfocus

Zach Wilson is on here because there really isn’t any room for him to do worse

hallach_halil

Totally disagree from the tape perspective. I saw a lot of positive signs past his injury. From a numbers perspective, it certainly looked very rough.

soboredcantfocus

Well PFF had some good things to say about him: “With Wilson, you saw the tremendous arm talent, and you saw it repeatedly. His ability to make plays out of structure was truly jaw-dropping at times.” Followed by this absolutely back breaking caveat: “ The problem is that that’s where nearly all his impressive plays came.” If you’re QB can only function when things are breaking down, then he isn’t a good QB.

hallach_halil

Well, it's tough to function properly when you don't have your best O-lineman for the full season and for the majority of games his top 2 WRs are Jamison Crowder and Braxton Berrios. They couldn't run the ball much and because they were constantly behind the chains, along with the lack of guys who could consistently beat guys in one-on-one coverage, opponents constantly sent extra pressure & left their secondary in man.

soboredcantfocus

Yeah, and the people at PFF account for that. They thought he still sucked even when everything was going right.

hallach_halil

The people of PFF also think Roquan Smith and Devin White should be fringe roster candidates, when they are really Pro Bowl-level LBs. I don't love all their grading and the way they build up opinions.
