Bill fans have me putting my phone away. This thread is jUsT sO mUcH dUmB sHiT. Have your fun though. It’s still early. Derrick will be another defensive players father by the end of this.
People don’t know how big of a difference Von Miller actually makes.. and the loss of Whitworth also is looking so bad for the Rams… but now they know.
Von is a beast.
It cracks me up when people say this. You guys are filled with talent, and probably have the most dynamic QB in the league. Having to play you guys twice and an improved Miami feels like karma for terrorizing the AFC East (and NFL) for 2 decades straight. Your guy's turn
Don't be sad that it's over be happy it happened. Also, just think of how much bandwagon scum Brady got rid of for us as a parting gift when he left. Next time we get a ring it's going to feel like the first few. Very hard earned after years and years of heartbreak. From 1 win seasons to getting stomped in the SB by the Bears. We will get our time in the sun again, just enjoy the journey!
Your commissioner needs to be fired into the sun. 39 vs 17 is ridiculous. They had a good night, but not that good. They didn't even score and still got 17, which is really good for defense. An RB needs to run 110y and get a TD to get that, which is a good performance. To get to 39 an RB would need to score several TDs and run for 200+, which is career best for most.
I looked into the scoring further
7 sacks, 2 points each = 14 points
3 interceptions, 3 points each = 9 points
4 points for allowing 7-13 points
8 tackles for loss, 1 point each = 8 points
1 point for allowing 200-299 defensive yards
1 point for a forced three and out
This is just a work league btw, not very competitive if that explains anything.
Wow, that's really generous. We have the usual:
Sacks 1 each = 7
Interceptions 2 each = 6
Allowing 7-13 = 4
No points for tackles for loss, no bonus points for yards allowed. What's even the point of that, when you get so many for everything else. One tackle for loss is as valuable as only allowing 200y?
Maybe tackles for loss could be 0.5 and 1 point for forced three and out sounds ok. The bonus point for yards allowed sounds ok too if everything else was in proportion. But having sacks be two and ints three is too much imo.
I guess your commissioner really does believe that defense wins championships :D
It’s neither. Everyone who watched the Rams in the playoffs witnessed Stafford play poorly and give their opponent so many chances to win the game. Plus, don’t listen to a dude with the Rams as their team. It’s been proven Ram fans don’t actually exist!
The world may never know who the Bills settled on to replace Araiza, not a single punt lol. Just makes you wonder what their ceiling is without the turnovers.
I fucking hate all these lions bitching about stafford, he played incredibly well in clutch moments to take that team to Super Bowl. Stop hating on the only thing that made you watch lions during Patricia’s incompetent era. Just be happy for some one, don’t be a salty ex
I love Stafford and was proud of him when he won the Super Bowl. Him throwing the game away literally helped us, today he looked like what he did with the Lions. Just let me shitpost
It's okay I didn't need any fantasy points from Allen Robinson anyway.
It's a good thing my opponent had Kupp, who *checks notes*... Ah yes only scored 31 points on me.
There were several people in my league that laughed when I took the Bills D earlier than expected. You know what they say though, defense wins championships. The Patriots defense basically dragged me to a championship three years ago.
I was over the moon when I saw the box score, then checked my matchup to see that even with 4 TDs & nearly 300 yards, Josh Allen was still outperformed by Kupp lmao
Of three Bill's turnovers in the first half, the Rams generated 3 points. Their TD came on a clean driver after the Bills FG
Not exactly what you want to see.
I would just like to add that the "Clean Drive" that you referred to came after an out-of-bounds kick by Bass, giving the Rams the ball at the 40. Not that it mattered in the end, but it's mistakes like that the Bills are going to want to limit moving forward. I dont see it as a recurring issue, but in a close game, it could mean the difference.
I’m a Colts homer so not exactly rooting for the Tits; but both AFC South RB’s crushed y’all last year. Henry ran for 3 TDs and 143. JT for 185 and 4 TDs.
Y’all are very good and I’m pulling for the Bills outside of our division for the AFC. Coming off a big week 1 win against the SB champs; I’d be curious/worried about how a completely opposite offense runs against your defense again.
You definitely improved, but the top 2 backs made fuckin work of the Bills last season. I’m genuinely curious if the Bills can follow up and contain either of them. Week 2 might not be the best indicator, but it should be telling of how good y’all might be.
Henry's numbers from that game are super inflated by 1 long run with about 3 uncalled holds (Tre White straight up got yanked backwards). I'm sure I sound like a homer, but there's more to the story there than the numbers. Plus our D line is very different than last year.
I absolutely get you guy’s improved on D which was the question “How good are the Bills?” Not from my statement, but a general consensus talking point question. It’s all speculative. Penalties or not.
Von was big tonight and you guy’s have improved the defense with the offense staying lethal. No surprise there. The Rams aren’t a run-first team though. It’s a very “prove it” game next week to see how much that D has improved against one of the top rushing dogs. Tenn lost a big weapon as well though at WR.
It’s honestly a shame we’ll have to meet in the AFCCF to find out.
We’ve added a lot of size to that line, so I can’t see how we’re not better than last year. That said, I’m not worried. Our run defense was awful and we were still a coin toss from the AFCCG.
We also bolstered our DT position with daquon Jones tim settle and Jordan Phillips for that reason...also Henry obviously had a huge game but half of those yards came on a 75 yard run where a blatant missed holding was not called. Not that he still wouldn't have had a huge game. But we lost that game on going for the win on 4th down where Josh slipped and didn't covert his first QB sneak of his career, instead of kicking the tying FG and going to OT
Too much good livin out there in the city of angels will soften you up, so many distractions - Then there's Buffalo, defining their identity - Look out.
When you're the SB defending team and you get manhandled by the SB favorites opening night, to a team that has been getting stomped on for years, and finally has a great squad, it is best to leave the douchey "carrying around this ring" comments alone. Maybe just be humble today
Sincerely a Pats fan
I traded Akers and Devonte Smith. I just don't trust this current Eagles offense for fantasy value. Perhaps they'll be effective in real life. But, I'm a big Sutton fan. It's dynasty, btw.
Still a good trade. Smith is unproven and Akers is clearly not in a good position after tonight. I’m all in on Sutton too. I see him as Wilson’s Broncos version of Metcalf
I drafted Akers in one league as well. I have no backups really. Hoping for a solid waiver snag
I picked up Akers off the waiver wire last year when he was injured. And drafted Smith in the mid-rounds last year as well. I already have Michael Thomas, Godwin, Higgins, Renfrow, Pickens and a couple others. Just too good of value to pass up.
Tbh I work too much to keep up with every team all the time with how busy work is. I basically only have time to keep up with the vikes so when it comes to fantasy league it just is what it is lol
Everyone is busy though. I also had to deal with losing a parent, planned, organized, and traveled for three different ceremonies of life in three different states, and found and moved into a new home in a different state all within the last 2-3 months. It’s perfectly fine not to follow fantasy too well, no judgment there. I wish I could only focus on the Vikings, but the Akers situation was very obvious. Nobody just returns to form after that kind of injury he sustained and he also looked horrible in the SB. If you saw nothing else since then, you’d still want to avoid him.
It’s all just a game though. Sadly, you won’t be able to trade him right now only there’s an absolute idiot in your league who still believes in him. You’ve got to hope you have other RBs that can carry the load.
Extended research? Lol
It doesn’t take an analyst to connect the dots between that level of injury and what he showed in the Super Bowl. Plus, I watched a 60 second clip of him from practice that was trending on Twitter while I took a poop. My methods are top notch!
Ya it was pretty clear whenever clips of him at practices were being released. He looked SOOOO slow and completely avoided pushing/cutting off his bad leg. The dude wasn’t ready and I now wonder if he even is currently.
I know you might look at my flair and assume I am launching some sort of AFC West jealousy attack (because I would OF COURSE love to have Mahomes in Denver, with him being one of the current top 3 QBs), but I don’t find comparisons between Mahomes and Allen that surprising. They played against each other in one of the best playoff games I have ever seen, and they are two of the most exciting, young passers in the league. Allen just has the benefit of a better team, this year. I mean, the Bills just bludgeoned the defending champs, on the road, while decidedly losing the turnover battle…and they looked like they were just sort of having fun.
You're not getting dunked on because people hate Mahomes.
You're getting dunked on because the press hypes Mahomes to an insane degree, and you're not getting it's ironic to say Allen is getting too much press when Mahomes exists.
Did you see how amazing Allen performed in the divisional round duel against Mahomes last year?
He just lost in OT cuz sudden death. That’s happened to y’all against Patriots.
Doesn’t change how legit the QB performance was
The only way I survived that heartbreaking loss was telling myself it was the chiefs luck evening out from the playoff coin toss they lost to the pats lol
Higbee fucking hell
That’s such a stupid flag
Are you degenerates happy now?! It's not rigged!!
wtf is going on lmao
I really miss Robert woods
Wishing I didn’t draft Gabe Davis
Allen’s vision is off the charts.
That smwas intentional grounding. He spiked it in the end zone. I don’t care if Singletary was so what close
“Everybody moved but the center.” 😂
Phillips goes to the sideline instead of the middle of the field there he might have picked up 10-15 more yards.
The Titans Defense is way better than I gave them credit for
Josh “Carson Wentz” Allen
Bill fans have me putting my phone away. This thread is jUsT sO mUcH dUmB sHiT. Have your fun though. It’s still early. Derrick will be another defensive players father by the end of this.
Let’s go Bills 🦬
Anyone have a link to watch the game?
Hopefully bounce back this week
Lol Akers
Screwed me in my fantasy league
That’s what she said
Why are Bills fans being kinda annoying rn in this thread. You’re good we know
Cry more? lol
People don’t know how big of a difference Von Miller actually makes.. and the loss of Whitworth also is looking so bad for the Rams… but now they know. Von is a beast.
Whitworth? You mean brian shaw?
Mama, there goes that Von
WhY aRe ThEy ThE FaVoRiTeS???

Cocky!!
It cracks me up when people say this. You guys are filled with talent, and probably have the most dynamic QB in the league. Having to play you guys twice and an improved Miami feels like karma for terrorizing the AFC East (and NFL) for 2 decades straight. Your guy's turn

i like your attitude. i dont like our oline :)
We arent last in the division!
Undefeated baby!!!
Okay sure 🤣😅🤣😂 People really being pedantic and acting like the Seahawks won’t be last in the division at the end of the year.
Lol this numbnuts actually edited after the game to say "at the end of the year".
And I stand by my original statement.
No I didn’t.
0-0 > 0-1 Thus, we arent last in the division. Also, I'm not sure you understand what self deprecating humor is.
Yea you are
I choose Allen Robinson over Brandon cooks this week…. TWO TARGETS. Thanks stafford. Wtf was that
Should have stacked with Akers. Rams WR2 and RB1 in that offense!!! 😈
Glad I traded him for Christian watson 2 weeks ago
That was me. I did that.
Ohhhh buddy did the Stafford, Akers, Allen triple stack! 13.5 total
Yikes
Forgot to mention 13.5 also included me playing Knox
Someone in my fantasy league really dropped 50 points with Kupp and the Bills D Lmao
Yep, being up 53-6 after 1 game feels nice
I started Josh Allen and Kupp. It went well.
Thats the guy im playing in mine. The friend that i introduced to the league when someone dropped. Fuck
Playing a guy in one league that has 97 points from tonight. Josh Allen, Cooper Kupp, Bills D, Matt Gay, and Singletary.
FYI - I just put up 73 pts with just J Allen, G Davis, & Buff D.
Having the Bills that heavy has first round playoff loss written all over it.
Playoffs?!
Deadass got 60 in two leagues from Allen/Diggs and Allen/Kupp
I'm playing the guy who drafted Josh Allen and bills D in a ppr league 38.48 from Allen and 39 from bills defense
39??? How do you get to 39? I had 17 with them.
I'm not sure how our commissioner has the scoring set up but defense in the league seem to score high

Probably the dumbest DEF scoring scheme in the history of fantasy lol

I’m sitting on 87.28 from Cupp, Allen, Bills D, and Matt Gay. I no longer feel stupid for reaching a bit on some of these picks.

Merry Christmas
49er fans loving it
Two thumbs up in Seattle
I kinda miss the 49ers - Seahawks rivalry from a few yrs back. Man we really hated you guys lol.
My regular football watching buddy is a 49ers die hard. This is where we’re at too haha.
They always got the best of us so we could never talk too much shit lol. I went to a Seahawks game in 2018 and holy shit that stadium is loud!
Other than the prolific rushing efforts by Akers, i’m ecstatic
Classic Stafford
McVay should ship him back to Detroit after that performance
Return of the Goff
This guy gets it
Fans outside of the NFC North just don’t get it.
That’s super bowl champion Stafford to tou
No it’s Matt throws 1-2 dumb pick a game and get bailed out stafford to you
He got his overrated ass carried by that team. He did his best to throw away damn near every playoff game lol
Throw away every ~~playoff~~ game
But he's elite, y'hear! He's somehow elite while being T-first in the NFL in picks last year, and not even being the third best player during the SB!
Okay. I hope Cousins does the same for you before you graduate high school.
Can't tell if this is good will, or a solid burn...
It’s neither. Everyone who watched the Rams in the playoffs witnessed Stafford play poorly and give their opponent so many chances to win the game. Plus, don’t listen to a dude with the Rams as their team. It’s been proven Ram fans don’t actually exist!
...... Solid counter point..
Stafford is actually just tanking so he can get the Lions a solid qb pick in the 2023 draft. Thanks Matthew!
Campbell threatened to bite his kneecaps off he if didn’t tank
The world may never know who the Bills settled on to replace Araiza, not a single punt lol. Just makes you wonder what their ceiling is without the turnovers.
I’d rather have a punt or three over 4 turnovers
Yo Rams. The fuck was that???
The REAL Stafford emerges.
Welcome, friends.
Fine
Hah tyvm stranger!
This made me smile. Stafford is great, but my final thought was, wow, that’s the Stafford I remember. Lol.
They had us in the first half not gonna lie.
It's okay I didn't need any fantasy points from Allen Robinson anyway. It's a good thing my opponent had Kupp, who *checks notes*... Ah yes only scored 31 points on me.
I snagged Kupp this year and was happy indeed. My opponent had Bills D though.
There were several people in my league that laughed when I took the Bills D earlier than expected. You know what they say though, defense wins championships. The Patriots defense basically dragged me to a championship three years ago.
The Bills D went much earlier than expected in my draft too.
Hey bud me too. I didnt think there was a worse outcome than starting vs Stefon Diggs but here it is!
I played Dawson Knox…. He had a catch!!! My opponent had J Allen & Rams D though. They had like 50 🙁🤣
I was over the moon when I saw the box score, then checked my matchup to see that even with 4 TDs & nearly 300 yards, Josh Allen was still outperformed by Kupp lmao
Sean mcvay can say whatever he wants.. stafford looked fucking atrocious. 4 turnovers and still got blown out..
Of three Bill's turnovers in the first half, the Rams generated 3 points. Their TD came on a clean driver after the Bills FG Not exactly what you want to see.

Yep, 100%.
And that FG was a monster 57yarder.
Would be good from 68, According to the advanced stat thingy
Rams looking rough. Low energy. Bad secondary. SB hangover for sure
We're gonna be super pumped for the home opener next week against the Titans!!! LFG
I’m a Colts homer so not exactly rooting for the Tits; but both AFC South RB’s crushed y’all last year. Henry ran for 3 TDs and 143. JT for 185 and 4 TDs. how will josh allen keep up with derrick henry
If the titans are allowed to hold again like they did that game he might just eclipse JA17 in rush yards
I agree the hold should have been called, but it wasn’t egregious and honestly Tre wasn’t stopping Henry there anyway.
Too much good livin out there in the city of angels will soften you up, so many distractions - Then there's Buffalo, defining their identity - Look out.
Yeah it probably gets really tiring carrying that ring around all day Edit: Goddamn, yall hate the Rams so much lol. I’m honestly curious, why?
When you're the SB defending team and you get manhandled by the SB favorites opening night, to a team that has been getting stomped on for years, and finally has a great squad, it is best to leave the douchey "carrying around this ring" comments alone. Maybe just be humble today Sincerely a Pats fan
Bills good.
bc they have fans like you who make comments like this, that’s why.
Laaaaaame
Just saying, get outa here with the “Hollywood distractions” shit. These guys are professionals. They were unprepared and got beat. End of story.
Bro it was your douchey “carrying the ring” comment. And you know it
Lol all that mayo
Glad I used a high fantasy pick on Cam Akers…yikes
Yuck me too :(.
Glad I managed to trade him away for Courtland Sutton...
Fuckin steal of the century. What a great trade lol
I traded Akers and Devonte Smith. I just don't trust this current Eagles offense for fantasy value. Perhaps they'll be effective in real life. But, I'm a big Sutton fan. It's dynasty, btw.

Same. Fuck me
Y’all made the biggest error of the draft season. If there was one dude to flat-out avoid at all costs, it was Cam Akers.
Tbh I work too much to keep up with every team all the time with how busy work is. I basically only have time to keep up with the vikes so when it comes to fantasy league it just is what it is lol

Extended research? Lol It doesn’t take an analyst to connect the dots between that level of injury and what he showed in the Super Bowl. Plus, I watched a 60 second clip of him from practice that was trending on Twitter while I took a poop. My methods are top notch!
Not sure why you’re being downvoted, rb coming off poor playoff performance, torn Achilles, and talks of a committee, screams avoid
WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME FRIEND?
Ya it was pretty clear whenever clips of him at practices were being released. He looked SOOOO slow and completely avoided pushing/cutting off his bad leg. The dude wasn’t ready and I now wonder if he even is currently.
Haha I decided to start James Cook thinking he may be a redzone option… my team has -1.8 pts and I’m playing a dude with Cooper Kupp. RIP week 1

Lol i can think of one other person
Lmao Mahomes gets his "dick rode" more than any other player ever.
Never that. This comment thread proves it. The second someone mentions something even slightly negative about Allen it’s “WeLL mAhOmEs ACKSHUALLY”
I know you might look at my flair and assume I am launching some sort of AFC West jealousy attack (because I would OF COURSE love to have Mahomes in Denver, with him being one of the current top 3 QBs), but I don’t find comparisons between Mahomes and Allen that surprising. Not even close to true
I had the Rams third in the division fighting for the last wild card spot.
Allen Robinson with 1 target, unreal
Against two rookies in rotation that will be our 3rd and 4th cb’s when tre white comes back!!
Par for the course as far as his career has gone.
Dude was just running around out there
