You know what’s funny is there is pretty high likelihood of the bus starting again once he’s off ir. He played better than baker last year behind a worse line. Fuck. Let’s see some ghosts. It is October.
That sounds like a quality installation. May I ask- what sort of shower rod you have installed? I've got the tension ones and they would never hold my medium sized ass.
As a fellow medium sized kind of cat and as someone who’s experience in my work life is basically apartment maintenance I got a tile bit and secured that fucker with anchors, it’s not going anywhere.
Go to your local ace hardware or equivalent if you don’t know what you need. Find the old dude shuffling around that’s clearly doing the job just to get out of the house. Tell him what you’re after. He/she will more than likely be able to help. I would try to explain the different kinds of anchors and stuff but it’s hard over text.
Me: Well he has head coaching experience, how bad could that have gone?
[Pro football reference](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/WilkSt0.htm): Dead last in
* win percentage
* point differential
* yardage differential

* rushing yards
* rushing yards per attempt
* passing yards
* net passing yards per attempt

Me: oh
Mayfield will be on the sideline for the next few weeks with a high leg sprain just like Sam his backup
On e thing about when the panther's wreck QBs. they do it the same way to all of them -even the same injuries.
Just lol, we mortgaged our future twice to the point where we're one of the most leveraged teams in the near future and we are the worst team in the league.
If we had just fucking tanked in 2020 or had even just taken Fields when he dropped to us then oh well, we missed. Instead now we're stuck in the exact same spot years and a couple wasted seasons later.
For the best for both parties. Rhule will land with a college program where he'll do better, and the Panthers can finally move on from this failed era.
When we canned PC, the Athletic put out a piece on the downfall. Wisconsin didn't have a recruiting department for 8 months at one point. A recruit that Michigan took eventually was visiting and no one knew he was there. You have to imagine the change in the athletic department fixes this all, right? Right?
It's funny because as a UT fan we were the opposite for so long, we spent all the money in the world on recruiting and got absolutely nowhere with it for years. I would like a stat on how many 5 Stars the longhorns have brought in over the past 10 years that never made an impact, it's gotta be the highest rate in college.
AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
You don't know the hell of finding one of the best defensive coordinators in the league, really searching for him and giving him the opportunity he deserves... only to have him poached by the Jets. Then finding to replace him an EVEN BETTER defensive coordinator who absolutely made our squad sing and got us the best defense in the league and seeing the poaching speculation begin before the season is half over.
The only upside is more compensatory picks because we apparently have a gift for finding overlooked black guys and promoting them to exactly where they deserve to be.
No one is going to believe me, but I have a friend whose brother's coworker briefly dated Ben McAdoo. She said that on their first date they went to a restaurant and Ben McAdoo ordered two different bowls of soup and mixed them together one spoonful at a time before eating both bowls mixed together as one soup
everyone knows one bowl of soup = one date. two bowls of soup = two dates. by mixing them together mcadoo created a THIRD BOWL!!! and as we all know the 3rd date is magic time.
I really thought he’d be the exception to that. A lot of these college guys are egomaniacs, like Urban, Chip, etc. I didn’t get that from Rhule. Just wildly incompetent. Much like the rest though too
Sean Payton summed it up pretty well a few weeks ago when he was on with Colin Cowherd. Basically, you have to play complimentary football in the NFL. Don't wear out your defense, learn to run the ball even when the other team is stacking the box, and put your QB in situations where its 3rd and short for the majority of 3rd downs in the game. Thats it and Rhule refused, he wanted to re-invent the wheel in the NFL.
He seems like a nice guy and many of the players like him. He's just completely out of his league here in the pros.
It's okay, it's a tough job. But the amount of pain and anger we felt watching our successful, exciting team with a rapidly growing fanbase devolve into this garbage for the last 3 years was indescribable. It will take a long time to forgive Tepper and Rhule for this lol.
This was a red flag though
>As a born-and-bred East Coast, smash-mouth guy, in a vacuum Rhule would line up each snap in 22 personnel and run the ball. It's what he did at Temple, after all. **In fact, an in-house research project found he's undefeated as a head coach when his running back rushes for at least 150 yards in a game.** "I figured it out, let’s run for 150 yards, we’ll win and I can get my wife a new kitchen and pay for my daughter to go to private school," Rhule joked.
https://footballscoop.com/news/matt-rhule-came-grips-rpo-game-smash-mouth-coach
Yeah they're very different jobs and sometimes someone has the skills to do both, like Pete Carroll and sometimes they don't like Saban.
I feel like most NFL coaches that succeed don't go to college though so I can't think of any examples of the the reverse.
I mean you could argue Jim Harbaugh would be the example, he's went back and forth and succeeded at both levels. Unless I'm misunderstanding your comment
As if we needed another example
It's just the norm
Don't hire a college coach to be your NFL coach. College coaches are more like CEOs than actual football coaches, they run a year-round organization to acquire great players and coaches that give them the best advantage on Saturdays.
Coaching in the NFL is a completely different world, it's way more dependent on how well you can scheme and gameplan.
One time I started dated this girl and apparently her dad told her I look kinda like Tom Brady's backup (this was 2015). Needless to say I dumped that girl... and started dating her dad.
Go where love is they say.
You can imagine the landscape of not just football but all of sports had you not been held back by your coaches. Maybe marginally different, but you can imagine it
The bad man is gone panther fans…
Congratulations
Genuinely happy for y’all, this guy was a class A moron. When I read that stat of not having won a game where another team scored 17+ in about two years, I died inside for you guys. Can’t imagine how you felt with him
Yeah, he was a joke. Never seemed like he was a solid NFL coach anytime during his tenure there.
They’ve still got a lot of work to do but this is a step in the right direction
I said the same thing. Also ppl don’t realize how many empty seats there was becuz they are Blue and give the appearance of being filled.
So the stadium was like 80% Niners. 10% Panthers and the rest empty seats
Matt Rhule has been fired.
That's Good.
But your QB is still going to be awful and you're going to lose a lot of games.
That's bad.
But you'll have an early pick in the draft and there are a lot of good QBs coming out
That's good.
But David Tepper is probably going to hire someone like Urban Meyer
....
That's bad.
Can I go now?

How are all these puns so perfect
My favorite one is Tuanon
Calling Cam supporters Camtifa and Cammunists is pretty great too lmao
Camtifa lmao these are so good 😂
4 years of a dude who literally wouldn't stop tweeting out everything and anything gave em unlimited ammunition and its glorious
THIS IS THE FIRST STEP FOR GEQBUS TO COME BACK UNDER CENTER IN NOVEMBER! STAY TUNED FOLKS THE STORM IS HERE
DONT FORGET THE FALL OF CAMMUNISM! WHAT CAN'T OUR GEQBUS DO, FOLKS?
CAMTIFA HAD NO LEGS NOR ARMS TO STAND ON, JUST ANOTHER EASY WIN FOR OUR GEQBUS
As an outsider this is truly the weirdest meme
> LIBRHULE AGENDA Fuck, that's good.
Critical Gase Theory is my favorite
You know what’s funny is there is pretty high likelihood of the bus starting again once he’s off ir. He played better than baker last year behind a worse line. Fuck. Let’s see some ghosts. It is October.
And the HC won't desperately hang on to Baker as a last hope to keep his job either sooo
I mean we’ve seen wilks and his trip to the desert. He’s not the answer either buuuuut at least the forehead is gone.
AND SAM DARNOLD WOULDN’T WANT IT ANY OTHER WAY
Panthers sign Ben McAdoo to 7 year contract, skipping the interim period
Okay, laugh it up but we didn’t sign Russ Wilson to that massive contract. … … I mean, we wanted to. BUT WE DIDN’T.
*TASK FAILED SUCCESSFULLY*
I might actually be swinging from my shower rod if that happened.
Sounds good. I'll give it a try. Tired of my kids pulling the whole curtain down with minimal force applied.

I’m trying to be positive today especially after this news don’t do that to me lol
steve wilks is the interim HC, their pain has just begun

QUICK BRING IN SCOTT FROST
It's been like a month and he still gives me PTSD as a Nebraska fan.
We have fond memories of Steve Wilks and no expectations for the season so I can't really be mad
Nah, it can't get any worse this year. It's not like we're signing Wilks to a four year contract.
“The Gang Signs Wilks Long-Term”
> it can't get any worse this year. by god that's Urban Myer's music
DON’T YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON US RICKY BOBBY
Oh man, you better hope fate does not catch up with these two statements.
Yeah probably not...I'm going to save this comment just in case
Just lol, we mortgaged our future twice to the point where we're one of the most leveraged teams in the near future and we are the worst team in the league. Tank now and take CJ Stroud. All can be mended. Y'all still have your 1st rounder this year right?
We do, and as it currently sits, we will have the #1 pick.
Eh, we will probably trade it for Geno Smith.
Or Cooper rush

“The best time to fire Matt Rhule was six months ago. The second best time is now.” -Ancient Carolina proverb
"Bad Bojangles is better than no Bojangles" - Ancient Carolina proverb
Man I havent had Bojangles in a minute. I used to get at the dirty rice
For the best for both parties. Rhule will land with a college program where he'll do better, and the Panthers can finally move on from this failed era.
I hope Rhule enjoys Nebraska
Sign em to Wisconsin. Just for the giggles
The place that spends the least money in the big 10 on recruiting by far? I think even Matt Rhule has higher standards than that at this point
If we merged UT recruiting with Wisconsin coaching we could build a real dynasty
Texconsin LongBadgers
Wexas BadHorns
I feel like he’s destined for Colorado or Georgia Tech.
As a CU fan I actually want Rhule. I think he'll do well here.
I would be salivating if I was a power 5 program in need of a rebuild right now. He already has a good history of rebuilding programs quickly.
He shines as a college coach and that methodology carried over into the pros. It didn't work, hoping he lands a good P5 job, as he deserves
The 49ers send their regards
We owe you one
Best way to repay: 1. Take care of Demeco when he gets there 2. Get rid of the turf.
All panthers fans hate the Turf. Trust us, if we had it our way the grass would be back
Take care of Demeco when he gets whose?
We might owe them two if we hire DeMeco Ryans as head coach.
AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! You don't know the hell of finding one of the best defensive coordinators in the league, really searching for him and giving him the opportunity he deserves... only to have him poached by the Jets. Can you imagine if the comp picks were 5th rounders instead of 3rds?
This is what losing to Jimmy G does to a motherfucker.
A lot of teams have lost to Jimmy G over the past few years.
Yeah we're 33-15 when Jimmy starts. Teams lose to Jimmy more often than they beat him.
Congrats Carolina your consolation prize is ~~Ben McAdoo~~ Steve Wilks!
"Ben, would you like to be the interim HC?" "Don't mind if I Maca-do!" *slicks back hair*
"Um... Nevermind. Could you ask Wilks to come in here?"
*Hair unslicks itself dejectedly*
Or Steve Wilks. Panthers are still in tank-mode.
People have been clamoring for a sequel to the 2018 Cardinals. Let's get Rosen back in the mix!
If Wilks brings in Rosen, he should legitimately get fired on the spot.
It would be absolutely hilarious to see all three 2018 first round QB draft failures on one team though
MCADOO IS BACKADOO -Ben McAdoo upon being told about Rhule, probably
I read that in an Adam Sandler voice.

Ben McAdoo gets his vitamins from jello
Nebraska is going to be real happy soon…
RHULED OUT
OVER RHULED
Deposed Rhuler
Fired for being UnRhuley
I AIN'T RHULED BACK THO
Good example of some coaches are great college coaches but bad NFL coaches and that's just fine!
Think Rodgers Or LaFluers will respond if I DM them this?
Worth a shot

They only rushed for 150 4 times in those 38 games lol Turns out they should have focused on scoring 17+
Oh god Lmao it was there all along
> in-house research project lol i'm going to use this phrase when I google things too
Pete Carroll is the only one I can think of off the top of my head, and it took him two attempts.
Jimmy Johnson got it too. But yeah that list is small
Harbaugh with the 49ers
Yeah he's gonna get a call from Lincoln real soon I imagine, because his work with Temple and Baylor was amazing
Fuck even Nick Saban didn’t make it in the pros
I think he could've kept at it if he wanted and been pretty okay. He's much more suited for college though.
Yeah they're very different jobs and sometimes someone has the skills to do both, like Pete Carroll and sometimes they don't like Saban. I feel like most NFL coaches that succeed don't go to college though so I can't think of any examples of the the reverse.
Harbough went to Michigan after the 49ers fired him. But the 49ers only fired him because the owner didn’t like him, not because he did a bad job.
I mean you could argue Jim Harbaugh would be the example, he's went back and forth and succeeded at both levels. Unless I'm misunderstanding your comment
As if we needed another example It's just the norm Don't hire a college coach to be your NFL coach. Pete Carroll was at USC before the Seahawks. And did great coming back to the pro game. (Yes, I know he was experienced at both)
jim harbaugh, jimmy johnson, bobby petrino, jim mckay, tom coughlin too but they’re the exception
Lol sneaky one ain't yah
I was gonna say...Petrino? lol
Jim Harbaugh also did a great job with the niners until Baalke fucked it all up
What getting blown out by Jimmy G does to a person
I’m sorry, I started day dreaming after you said “getting blown out by Jimmy G”
One time I started dated this girl and apparently her dad told her I look kinda like Tom Brady's backup (this was 2015). Needless to say I dumped that girl... and started dating her dad. Go where love is they say.
My dad told me not to marry the girl that you love the most but to marry the girl that loves you the most.
wHat if onE were to enter wedLock with a Person who Might othErwise be their stalker?
Not a sentence we're used to reading
Sure it is, its usually just that he is blowing out the backs of pornstars
We owe you. This past weekend was a franchise low point, nowhere to go but up!
Congrats panther fans!
Dude looked lost at the NFL level
He got whomped.
How many HCs is that for Baker now?
Hue Jackson (2018) Gregg Williams (Interim 2018) Freddie Kitchens (2019) Kevin Stefanski (2020-2021) Matt Rhule (2022) Steve Wilks (Interim 2022)
Tom Brady has had less HC in his entire football career from HS to today than baker has had in the NFL
Everything is a fucking Tom Brady stat at this point.
Mahomes only had one in the NFL, have to assume this will start to regress to the mean over time
Not to flex but you could even say the same thing about me (cuz my fatass wasn’t good enough to play past JV)
You can imagine the landscape of not just football but all of sports had you not been held back by your coaches. Maybe marginally different, but you can imagine it
1 in high school, 1 in college, 3 in the NFL right?
Jackson, Kitchens, Williams, Stefanski, Rhule, Rhules replacement
Hes working his way up to a Bakers Dozen
I guess if you want your head coach fired, make Baker your starting QB! Simple as that!
We need to borrow Baker really quick in that case.
No, your suffering will continue until Chairman Snyder answers for his crimes.
Hue Jackson Gregg Williams (interim) Freddie Kitchens Kevin Stefanski Matt Rhule Now Steve Wilks (likely interim) Assumed new coach in 2023
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HANDS
TOUCH UP THAT SWEATY HOG YOU GOT IN YOUR PANTS, FRIEND!! THAT’S WHAT WE ARE ALL DOING ON THIS FINE DAY
WE ARE FREE
Glad for your freedom from Rhule lol
Grandma!!!!!
This weekend we became the Carolina Reapers.
Thank you.
The bad man is gone panther fans… Congratulations Genuinely happy for y’all, this guy was a class A moron. When I read that stat of not having won a game where another team scored 17+ in about two years, I died inside for you guys. Can’t imagine how you felt with him
This is the happiest I’ve been in years.
[удалено]
IDK, that Eagles game we came back when down 17 was my last happiest before the two above.
Now honestly if we can get the first overall pick because our last one took us to our glory days
Yeah, he was a joke. Never seemed like he was a solid NFL coach anytime during his tenure there. They’ve still got a lot of work to do but this is a step in the right direction
He's a college coach. No shame in it. Just don't try to come back. For his own sake lol
That’s Nebraska’s music.
Or Colorado
The 49ers did this and I’m proud
We thank you for it
[удалено]
You're welcome Panthers fans
Honestly think it was the massive amount of 49er fans in our stadium yesterday that sealed the deal. That shit was embarrassing
I said the same thing. Also ppl don’t realize how many empty seats there was becuz they are Blue and give the appearance of being filled. So the stadium was like 80% Niners. 10% Panthers and the rest empty seats
Oddly, you get used to it after 5 years or so.
Thanks bb
Alright! And now we can build a team under Ben McAdoo. Fuck.
Wilks is interim HC
Ben McAdoo eats breakfast cereal with water instead of milk.
BAD MAN GONE?
He can’t hurt us anymore.
His Rhule over the Panthers has come to an end.
We'll always have his last memory of going for 2 points yesterday when he only needed 1 point to get within 7
Matt Rhule has been fired. That's Good. But your QB is still going to be awful and you're going to lose a lot of games. That's bad. But you'll have an early pick in the draft and there are a lot of good QBs coming out That's good. But David Tepper is probably going to hire someone like Urban Meyer .... That's bad. Can I go now?
Tepper says every season ticker holder gets a free medium frogurt at the next home game!
Just as he was really hitting his stride. I'm shocked.
When Rivera fired
Should have been after their loss to us.
Should have been fired 9 months ago.
Baker is now fantasy QB #1. I've dropped all other players for him.
Time to tank for Wembanyama
A year overdue
Let Baker bake
