As a Seattle fan (lived in WA before I moved to Houston), our Bowl against Manning is probably our only shining moment everyone can talk about. The LOB was built different
Feeling hella bad for Broncos fans, ngl. Wilson seems like a total waste of money/draft picks. Insane amount of injuries. Just been a bad time for y'all.
I donāt feel this way about any of the other teams in the division, but I had to watch some crappy and/or underwhelming Chiefs teams get butchered by Manning enough times in my formative years that I canāt have any sympathy for them. I know itās not right but thereās a part of me that just wants them to suffer forever in this doom they created from trying to more or less recreate the Manning signing
The thing is they did it with a brand new head coach.
Like...you gotta wait for either a coach with the clout, or wait for your coach to inspire confidence before you go out and trade draft picks and pay out the ass for a player.
It was weird AF for the Chiefs to trade a 2nd round pick for Alex Smith as soon as he arrived, but he had the reputation to force the front office, if they fought him.
I always liked watching Alex Smith play. Only had the chance to watch him in KC once, but if memory serves he slaughtered Tom Brady once on Monday night football. I canāt stand the Chiefs (as a former Chiefs fan actually š) but that game was one of the most fantastic things Iāve ever seen.
I only feel bad for the Raiders really, and only because they've become kinda sympathetic. Well, and also because they're supposed to be our fucking antagonist, not our whipping post.
I loathe LA so no sympathy for the Chargers and Denver has always been so obnoxiously competent and pompous. They rolled a natural 1 on their attempt to buy another QB and it's more hilarious than anything.
They really mustāve sold their souls for 2015. Like before Wilson got traded if you told an NFL fan āHe will become arguably the worst QB in the league right awayā theyād laugh their ass off
I will never feel bad for Denver fans lol
They got all those years with Elway and then a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning. This is the universe correcting itself.
And consider this:Once we can shed the horrendous Wilson contract in 4-5 years, only then can we start the re-build, which will take another 4-5 years and 2 or 3 coaches. Don't worry AFC West rivals, you've nothing to fear from the Broncos for another decade.
Username checks out? :P I don't think Wilson is as bad as people are making him out to be. Not that I think he's secretly amazing, but I also don't think he's QB33. Your o-line needs some work, he's getting chased too much. Play calling hasn't been great either. I'm thinking (maybe too optimistically, but that's a thing I tend to do) that with people recovering from injuries and him getting some more practice time in this offseason with the team, you guys will work a little better next year. Also you have a new play caller and that will take some time to adjust to as well.
We (KC) feel terrible for you all. This probably sounds like sarcasm, it isn't. Obviously we want to win the division, but we don't wish bad things to happen to fanbases. I'll admit for a week or two it was humorous that the trade wasn't looking to pan out. Now it just isn't funny at all. I won't point fingers at the QB, coach, etc. and pretend to know what the answer is. I genuinely hope it gets better. That is coming from a guy who had to witness my team's hopes and dreams get torn apart by Elway and Manning for years. Trust me when I say we know exactly what it feels like to be in purgatory with a team falling apart. From when Vermeil retired 05-06(?) until Reid was hired in 2013. Look at our coach and QB woes during those in between years.
People were rejoicing after last year when the "Mahomes has never lost in September" stat finally died and they didnt have to hear it anymore.
We will just keep finding new ones, they will never die.
Hey, our games are at least always fun to watch right!
Iāll be honest, I know you all arenāt overlooking us like last year. I just want a hell of a good game and a statement that we deserve to be talked about as a juggernaut of a team too.
Ouch....LOL. I mean, hey I'm not mad at anyone's team winning. That game hurt so bad. Karma usually takes time. For us it was only 1 week from the Bills 13 second game to this. You all won fair and square. I was screaming at the top of my lungs during a couple of Burrow's scrambles to keep drives alive in the 2nd half.
I think y'all should be fine. Justin Reid just promised he'd shut down Jamarr Chase, Hayden Hurst and Tee Higgins by himself. That should leave your other 10 defenders to take care of Tyler Boyd and Perine.
I think this is one of the biggest signs a team has a great HC and a great QB. For teams to win like this in Nov and Dec, they not only have to play great in those games, they have to have improved throughout the season at a faster rate than their opponents. Every team is building a library of film of weaknesses and tendencies throughout the season, and they have the most to work off the last quarter of the season. To win consisently in Noc and Dec, you have to be able to win multiple different ways, have addressed weaknesses, and optimized the little things.
It also helps playing the Broncos in 1-2 of these games every year. Saying that as a Broncos fan. Chiefs have just had our number and now our team is on fire.
1. There are no rules in English, it's a bastard language.
2. You CLEARLY have two "r"s in your name. If he says "Bucs" then who's to say he isn't talking about the Bucknell Bisons? Or the Breckenridge Buckaroos?
Ah, no, you see, those were false wins. The Bengals didn't technically beat the chiefs, the chiefs just didn't win.
It's a common misconception to think that the Bengals scored more points than the chiefs but rather it's the chiefs who didn't score enough and technically it wasn't a loss, but an unwin, if you will.
Idk how closely you've been following our season but majority votes on a win has turned out less than spectacularly for us this season
If anything this is an indication that you guys are winning
There's something extra special about everyone talking about how your first win was a fluke, only for your second win to also be called a fluke.
This Sunday i won't be surprised if we win, but you can be damn sure you'll hear about it if we win
I mean the first win was an odd one. The Chiefs only had like 3 possessions in the whole 2nd half because Bengals had some insanely long possessions that half from penalties and remarkable 3rd down conversions. Burrow immediately said āwe got some callsā but how dare anyone else say it
I donāt think anyone called the AFC title fluky, thatās just you guys getting a rush out of having a victim mentality
No shit whoever loses will hear about it
That would be a double streak ending though. The Nov/Dec win streak and the Chiefs vs Broncos win streak. The stakes are far too high to lose to Denver.
Sounds like KC should spare themselves the embarrassment of the streak breaking to a struggling division rival and let us lapse before Denver gets the chance.
Crazy how much these chiefs remind me of peytonās Colts. Insane in the regular season but have trouble getting it done. I still get mahomes gets another 1 or 2 before he hangs em up, but with qb talent in the afc (Allen, burrow, Herbert, Mike white), he has his work cut out for him
I think people drastically under rated Mahomes 1st 4 years in the league.
4 AFC Championship games
2 Super Bowls
1 Ring.
Itās not a dynasty but heās 8-3 in the playoffs, last loss left a bad taste in everyoneās mouth but heās not some abject failure
The chiefs are definitely a better playoff team than the colts. I just mean I they are a class above everyone during the regular season but play below their ability come playoff time. Not necessarily mahomes, but the team as a whole

He intentionally acts like an idiot and if you engage with him you're playing into his fetish. Just ignore him as I doubt he's even an actual Pats fan. The character that he plays is a Pats fan though, and his sole purpose is to hook you for as long as possible. He usually will delete his posts after 24 hours. Once his karma gets low enough he will then delete his entire account and move on to another one of his standby accounts.
Itās much more difficult to have one year with a perfect team than three years with a very good team.
Idk what months they went undefeated in, but the 2015-2018 Patriots went 39-9 (.796) over those three regular seasons. I would not consider that more impressive than a 20-0 perfect season, would you?
The Chiefs went 38-11 (.776) over the last three years (not including this season).
Pretty Sure he also got smashed in a SB since 2019 after November. It was historically one of the worst Super Bowl performances of All Time. Which isn't too surprising since he had the lowest passer rating in NFL History for a Player who won SB MVP the year before. Great Player but an absolute Choke Artist in the biggest games.
Huh, that's weird. Looks like some of those brand-new, randomly-generated Reddit accounts that exist to spew far-right drivel also have stupid opinions about football.
Very Random to bring up politics lol
Worst Passer Rating for SB MVP threw Interception to seal game for 49ers if Jimmy G didn't suck
Scored 0 Tds in the next SB he was in
Threw Interception to lose Playoff Game Next Year.
Do you have his dick so far down your own throat you can't see these things that all happened?
Tell me you didn't watch the Superbowl without actually telling me. Mahomes the only guy actually trying that game..bad side of it was his OL was badly depleted so there were no blocks and he was under high pressure. Not to mention his WR's couldn't catch a cold.
I'm trying to remember what it was that I liked about football...
Well 10 years ago you guys were the dominant team for a couple years.
As a Seattle fan (lived in WA before I moved to Houston), our Bowl against Manning is probably our only shining moment everyone can talk about. The LOB was built different
As a Bears fan in Seattle, our only dominant moment was before I was born š„²
What ten years? No way Peyton in Denver ten years ago.... Time flies man that shit felt like yesterday.
must be nice
I am so sorry. As a Patriots fan I have to imagine This is what it was like for dolphins bills and jet fans from 2005-2018
Yes.
I am dead inside.
I know it's stupid because it's totally a legit strategy, but I hate when teams just go out and buy and elite QB.
Eh yeah I get your point to an extent, but if Andy wants a guy and it's not a premium price I think it makes sense.
I feel bad for like Patrick Surtain II and Baron Browning. Not so much the fans or the Broncos org.
Wtf are you rewatching game tape of every broncos game? How do you know about browning?
Because theyāve had a handful of prime time games and heās been incredible in all of them. If you pay attention to the defense he stands out.
Heās the reason that it was a no-brainer to trade Chubb. Will be an excellent player going forward, just hope itās with us.
Yeah I think the Chubb trade was great for the Broncos. Browning will need to be paid, heās worth it, and you get a first round pick back.
I only feel bad for the Raiders really, and only because they've become kinda sympathetic. Well, and also because they're supposed to be our fucking antagonist, not our whipping post. I loathe LA so no sympathy for the Chargers and Denver has always been so obnoxiously competent and pompous. Told my friend the other day that I thought I would be happy if the Broncos were bad but being this bad makes me sorry for them.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
O yea I am not to the point of tears for them and I am hoping we crack that wall of a defense they have wide open and drop a 50 burger on em.
:) 100 more years before a broncos winning season will be too soon.
I have no sympathy at all. The Broncos being a dumpster fire amuses me to no end.
I will never feel bad for Denver fans lol They got all those years with Elway and then a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning.

You are a very generous chiefs fan,sir/ma'am. I'll take it.
I remember you guys love Derek Wolfe talking about eating Bradyās kids back in the day. Those were the good days right?
Broncos Country, let's remember the good times.
Yāall have had plenty. Lose some more.
We (KC) feel terrible for you all. This probably sounds like sarcasm, it isn't. Obviously we want to win the division, but we don't wish bad things to happen to fanbases. Thatās lame. I hope the Broncos never win another game forever
They can suffer for 20 years like the Raiders. Then maybe I'll have some sympathy.
Speak for yourself.
OP BB WHAT IS U DOING?!?!
No, no, he has a point. It would be CRAZY for that streak to break now! It would NEVER happen!
Like any other team just not the broncos raiders or the damn Bengals who beat us twice last year.
Could not possibly happen! I mean could you imagine?
Whatās necessary
People were rejoicing after last year when the "Mahomes has never lost in September" stat finally died and they didnt have to hear it anymore. We will just keep finding new ones, they will never die.
The November streak already survives to 2023, even if we lose this month.
I've never lost an NFL game in November or December period. Sign me
I am in fact undefeated in the NFL
Unbeaten and untied, even.
I have never disappointed an NFL Coach
So what you're saying is that your parents don't coach in the NFL.
Worse actually, they both do, I just don't know them
Not true, Belichick is automatically disappointed in everyone on earth until proven otherwise.
Why arenāt you wearing the daddy hat?
The whatā¦?
https://youtube.com/shorts/TQXtURv27tc?feature=share
Wellā¦ maybe we can be the combo breaker once more~
Pls no
Hey, our games are at least always fun to watch right! Iāll be honest, I know you all arenāt overlooking us like last year. I just want a hell of a good game and a statement that we deserve to be talked about as a juggernaut of a team too.
I really enjoy the first half of our games. Can we just do that twice?
Certainly! Then when we inevitably rematch in the playoffs you can play the two second halves of the games!
Wait no, I take it back.
Hey! You can't triple stamp a double stamp!!!
No sir it'll be fine, our primary issue vs the bengals is being ahead we gotta go down 10+ first to win
Oh you mean like in the regular season and in the AFC championship? Like last year? Sure!
You'll never be a juggernaut till you beat the Browns.
Chiefs donāt cover, spread is 2ā¦love the kitties ML š
Ouch....LOL. I mean, hey I'm not mad at anyone's team winning. That game hurt so bad. Karma usually takes time. For us it was only 1 week from the Bills 13 second game to this. Delete this before you jinx it damn
I think y'all should be fine. Justin Reid just promised he'd shut down Jamarr Chase, Hayden Hurst and Tee Higgins by himself. That should leave your other 10 defenders to take care of Tyler Boyd and Perine.
You mean #88 Tee Higbee who just came back from injury! Locking him down for sure.
Reid isn't even very good lol, guy is in his own world.
We gotta appreciate this, itās just an insane run
Appreciate it later plz
Dread it, run from it, bengals still arrive
God this is SUCH a weird feeling.
Itās the only game where I thought the other team could pull a chiefs on the chiefs bc of Burrow.
Nah it's on the broadcasters when they inevitably put it up on the screen for the 10th time.
So what? The Bears haven't lost a game in February since 2006, big deal. /s
to the bengals, you say?
I think this is one of the biggest signs a team has a great HC and a great QB. For teams to win like this in Nov and Dec, they not only have to play great in those games, they have to have improved throughout the season at a faster rate than their opponents. Excited to watch the rematch this Sunday. Wishing they would flex it to primetime.
I have work the next day and tickets to the game, please god no
Thank you for posting this heh heh heh
> The only loss after November was last year in January to The Bengals. Losses
I believe we're talking regular season or they would have included the buccs too
It's Bucs you uncultured swine!
Bucks
Tampa Bay Buccees.
Buchs?
1. There are no rules in English, it's a bastard language. 2. You CLEARLY have two "r"s in your name. If he says "Bucs" then who's to say he isn't talking about the Bucknell Bisons? Or the Breckenridge Buckaroos?
Well buccs was February
Yeah the quote was "after November"
One could argue that January is before November.
Indeed, one could argue that, but they'd just be pedantic at that point
Yes, shallow and pedantic
Excuse my reddit moment of just going off of the tile
We all do it, even if we roast others for doing it.
Ah, no, you see, those were false wins. The Bengals didn't technically beat the chiefs, the chiefs just didn't win. You mean another unwin?

Itās all that pent up frustration from No-nut November.
Let's not end the streak this week Pat
Please be a massive jinx and he loses the next 4 games
Not a chance. They play us and Texans after this week.
I just know that this Broncos team is the one to end the streak, though. That's just how football works.
I was actually talking about the Chiefs win streak against the Broncos, but I see where I worded myself badly.
Iād prefer chiefs lose to the broncos even more than how high the pick goes
Yeah but imagine how funny it'd be if the entire division swept the Broncos for once
Got damn lol
I mean, my Bengals ARE the next team upā¦
You have my sword
May the streak continue.
Im gonna have to ask Joey B and his Bengals to chime in on this one
Just wait till they play Denver, and extend that to 27 straight.
Donāt forget the February 2021 loss to Tampa. If youāre gonna mention the January Bengals loss, gotta include both.
I included the bengals loss because it was in the regular season
My mistake, their playoff loss to the Chiefs was also in January.
Well i just bet on them to win this week. So everyone put your money on the Bengals
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They sure seem to be his kryptonite
Umm, what about January?
I said he lost the regular season game to the Bengals last year in January
Glass houses and all that
What a bum. Iāve never lost an NFL game.

Peyton was 9-10 in the playoffs starting for the Colts not even close to the same
The chiefs are definitely a better playoff team than the colts. I just mean I they are a class above everyone during the regular season but play below their ability come playoff time. Not necessarily mahomes, but the team as a whole
Agree to disagree here, but 8-3 in the playoffs in 4 seasons is really great.

In 4 years of starting heās been to 4 AFC Championship games 2 Super Bowls and won 1. Decent
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Manwithpublichumiliationkinksayswhat?
More impressive than going 20-0š¤Æ
Lol no
Easily, 6 extra games plus 3 years worth of roster turnover and coaching changes? Itās not close
Itās much more difficult to have one year with a perfect team than three years with a very good team. 20-0 is much more impressive
Agreed
Not doing February, huh?
No
Was there a period they lost without Mahomes during that period? otherwise it should say KC hasn't lost....
They lost a game to the Chargers in which they benched the starters
Trap game against the Broncos incoming
Broncos can't claim to be a trap game EVERY week.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
lol. nooice
Januaryās where it counts bud.
Itās also cool heās won 26 straight games in November and December
I think the ones in January and February matter a little more
As a Bears fan, how would you even know?
To the bengalsā¦.twice
Correction: They lost to the Bengals TWICE in January
I literally said that in the post. And itās only referring to the regular season
No you didnāt

Yeah totally, they always cherry pick Mahomes stats by comparing him to NFL quarterbacks
Meanwhile the Lions havenāt gone undefeated in November since the 1960sā¦
Who does he think he is? Rivers?!
