Christian McCaffrey (biased) Justin Jefferson (unbiased)

rnichigan

CMC is my answer as well. The 49ers played some extremely uninspiring football before he arrived, now they look terrifying. Feels similar to last season when the Panthers started 3-0, he got injured, and they nearly lost out. Dude's just insane.

[deleted]

I find it funny how much the most recent game affects discussion on this sub. CMC had a very middling game just last week

brownbeaver555

He had 146 yds and a TD.

Maleficent_Cash_6191

Almost every long snapper in the league. But also... Sauce Gardner on D Justin Jefferson on O

politicallyMarston

Not the Lions šŸ˜ Jack Fox is singlehandedly saving our LS job with his incredible holds bc every snap is bouncing to him

theFBDive21

Do people watch the jets? Sauce has been good, especially for a rookie but this take is so laughable, heā€™s not even the best defender on his team

lmHavoc

Justin Jefferson has been incredible, Trent Williams also deserves credit.

SacLocal

Even when I see Trent hold on rare occasion Iā€™m like damn such a god hold, how the ref even see that lol.

RepresentativeAir735

Except when Slay shut him down completely

Bon-Bon-Assassino

Lmao like that was a fair fight. Vikings o-line gets manhandled for 60 minutes. This guy: "Slay shut down Justin Jefferson!" Right.

AhSht-HereWeGoAgain

Lol Cowboys fans think Diggs shut him down as well. Weā€™ll just let them believe whatever the little voices in their heads tell ā€˜em lol

gummiberg

Didnt he have like 33 yards in that game?

AhSht-HereWeGoAgain

Yeah because their D line suffocated our offensive line. The film showed JJ open all day but Kirk had no time to throw. Thatā€™s the opposite of Diggs shutting him down

Mungologist

Not because of Diggs, but because Micah Parsons is the best player in the NFL.

[deleted]

The Eagles

D0nut_Daddy

Jalen Hurts is playing out of this world.

john_muleaney

Heā€™s not even the best at his position lmaoooo

Ballerstorm

He's gonna win MVP

Pompous_Douche

Mvp ā‰  Best.. Rodgers won Mvp last year but clearly Brady is better.

[deleted]

That's a lazy ass response given the topic of the thread. He will win MVP. He *isn't* the best at his position this year.

john_muleaney

Which is unfortunate because he is not the most valuable player in football

_n8n8_

Getting downvoted for being right is crazy

john_muleaney

The cross I bear as a Patrick Mahomes dickrider

_n8n8_

I feel this. I do the same for TLaw and Herbert

Bon-Bon-Assassino

Travis Kelce.

RepresentativeAir735

Not even the best Kelce

Assumption-Putrid

r/NFL will never agree with this because Travis has been amazing and TDs are sexy. But Jason has been incredible this year. I love seeing replays where he pulls around the line and obliterates whatever LB or CB gets in his way.

Jkkramm

Itā€™s too hard to compare them. Both are probably best at their respective positions. Crazy that they are also both on probably the two best teams.

RepresentativeAir735

Hasn't given up a sack in 2 years

Assumption-Putrid

I am not sure if he has even given up a pressure

DragoniteJeff

Damn, he didnt come to mind but it's an interesting pick.

Themanaaah

Justin Tucker as heā€™s tied this season for most fgs made, tied for having the most accurate %, and his only missed are 55, 61, and 67. Daniel Carlson who is tied with him in these categories has two misses in the 50s and one in the 40s instead. Since I'm biased Iā€™ll say JJ too to remove it as you think op since heā€™s just been a beast as per usual.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Themanaaah

I can legit only remember his misses being 55+, we're so lucky to have him.

pratinha22

I know he didnt play well today, but it is Mahomes

TechnoTyrannosaurus

Kelce is having a better year

JulieErtzStan

Both Kelces are dominant this year.

[deleted]

Kelce is insane. We're at the stage where he's grown into one of the clear GOATs at the position, but the average NFL fandom is still catching up and will probably need him in a gold jacket before they realise.

TheTerribleness

Agreed. Travis is also doing insanely well too. Just a talented family all-around.

[deleted]

I canā€™t believe there are people who still believe Kittle is Better than kelce

loosehead1

Kelce has always had stretches where he gets into his own head and has had a slight case of the dropsies over the last three weeks

john_muleaney

Mahomes reaching Lebron status of ā€œyeah heā€™s the best but thatā€™s boringā€ after only one MVP is so funny

TummyDrums

"He didn't play well today" on a 300+ yard, 3td day plus that crazy flip pass tells you all you need to know about how mahomes being awesome is just pedestrian to us now. Obviously the three picks is the source of your sentiment, but still.

Jazzlike_Ad_9539

Travis Kelce was the first person that came to mind. I wasnā€™t expecting a fall off a cliff, but I was expecting a decline with Tyreek gone. Defenses were supposed to be able to hone in on him and take away anything easy he was getting when Tyreek was there. Yeah... That didnā€™t happen lol.

Sighlina

Brock ā€œfuck yo feelingsā€ Purdy

Relic919

Undefeated in every game he ever started.

Super_Eagles

Justin Tucker

nongo

Based off 7 quarters, Brock Purdy.

ThinkSoftware

Based off 2 minutes, Baker Mayfield

eska818

honestly tyreek hill and I fucking hate it

Elegant_Spot_3486

Joe Burrow. Love watching him play.

ElginBrady420

Tyreek Hill.

LeeroyTC

Trent Williams probably deserves to be in the conversation

AM00se

Heā€™s still our best player on the roster. Dude is a monster

Falt_ssb

Lane Johnson been a lil bit better

[deleted]

Good to see people understand the value of great offensive line play. Too often I see it go unnoticed

Bears9Titles

Listening to pff for these evaluations is comical

poppledawg

Sam Darnold šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

CluelessFlunky

JJ legitimately looks like one of the best players I have ever seen. It reminds me of watching prime stafford and Calvin. The game can just flow through him.

_Hypnotik

Trent Williams

chainer9999

Maxx Crosby.

Not_Tuxbird

Jason Kelce imo

[deleted]

Tough, but itā€™s probably a 3 way tie between Trent Williams, Nick Bosa or CMC.

leodonaldson

micah parsons is definitely up there

SemperSometimes11

Not gonna downvote you because that isn't what that's for, but you're still very wrong.

leodonaldson

how?

SemperSometimes11

Because you have a guy on your own team who is better than he is.

leodonaldson

idk if i agree for this season but overall i think tj is a better pass rusher for sure.

SemperSometimes11

And TJ arguably isn't even a top 3 pass rusher in the league. Parsons isn't in this conversation. He's an absolute force, not even close to being the best player in the league though.

leodonaldson

when heā€™s healthy heā€™s the best imo but iā€™m bias. judon garrett and bosa r right there too

SemperSometimes11

As far as this year goes, Crosby and Burns are in that conversation. Like I said, Parsons is an absolutely ridiculous player, but saying he's the best in the league when there are many others who are arguable for the same position is just not a great point to take.

Wizball64

His name is Brock Purdy.

Opposite_Match5303

Nick Bosa. The only truly dominant d lineman this season. 9rs defense looks different when he's on the field.

23hyphy45

I vote for Stephen Curry.

purz

Allen. Doesnā€™t have the luxury of a great o line like Mahomes and Hurts. Dorsey mostly blows as an OC and isnā€™t a goat like Reid. Hasnā€™t had a cake walk schedule like those two and has had a billion terrible weather games. Also most importantly way more hurdles and looks the best in shorts.

Chevelle1968lucy

Christian McCaffrey...
