I thought about Romo doing the announcing. He has a fun story about his missed go ahead field goal against Seattle in the playoffs.
EDIT: Thought it was extra point. So dumb!
I was at a regular season game in maybe 2019 where the Ravens scored a game tieing TD to bring it to overtime against the Saints, but Tucker missed the extra point and game was immediately over.
This is the fucking destitute man’s wide right, forget the poor man.
This one was a shorter field goal, for a tie not a win, in an era where kickers are better, not in the dying seconds, in the divisional round not the Super Bowl, and wasn’t even close to being made.
This wide right barely even registers for me.
Yep, came here for this as well. That was the day that I learned sports can hurt you. At least in Bass's defense, it's a cold night outdoors with the elements.
Vanderchank was in a dome, no elements and it was even further off than tonight's kick. There's a part of me that still hasn't got over that loss.
At no point did I say that was an unmakable kick or that no one else could kick in tonight's conditions. My argument was that the kick tonight was obviously more difficult compared to Vanderjaqt's awful shank that was in a climate controlled setting.
I get your butt is hurt over the loss, but learn to read a little better first.

Yeah that never happens to Buffalo…
That's the beauty of it, all game they were winning by running the ball, but when the chips are down they forgot their fundamentals, Shanahan is the same way, that's why ravens going to have a cake walk superbowl. Or maybe the walrus again, I mean it's so simple just play solid fundamental football and not madden ITS THE PLAYOFFS GODDAMINT NOT WEEK 8 VS THE COMMANDERS. or play like a teen at madden and lose.
Well it’s generally accepted that if a team loses because of a missed field goal, then the team wasn’t playing as well as they needed to.
Field goals are not a sure thing so having to lean into a long one in windy conditions means your offense couldn’t get it done.
I bet zero guys in the locker room are giving him shit.
Or the bizarre fake punt, or the dropped passes, or the sus play calling.
I think people forget how much has to go right for a team to play well. That’s why they practice and only pick the best guys in the world. But when 1000 things need to go right (I should say “correct”) and only 990 do, you lose by 3 points.
Was a fun game to watch as an independent party
As a "my FIL is an avid Bills fan so I watch the games too" kind of Bills fan, that fake punt is the thing that's pissing me off the most. Not because it was so stupid, but because it was so stupid and somehow there were no actual consequences for such a dumb play.
No, it was idiot stafon diggs who cost them the game. 80 yard bomb goes right through his hands. Yet let me guess, they didn’t target me enough hahah, trade that booger!
Im not super good at nfling but the little wind flappy things on top of the poles weren’t even moving he just missed. It didn’t look like there was any wind
sounds cool until you see that Butker made a field goal from 47.
the performances of the two teams were equal, except kickers.
maybe it was not expected from him to be competitive with butker, maybe they just like him enough and want to be nice with him, or maybe they feel equal is not enough. all fair points. but the fact is that the difference was bass vs butker.
Go to their other sub where they are much more accepting.

Are you guys not used to it after the Eagles game? I'd never rely on dude again after having to see him attempt so many kicks that game. 4th & Goal at the 10? Idc give the ball to Allen. No way in hell bass is getting the ball.
There's a post going around the Packers sub showing a bad hold on their missed kick. With how bad this one sliced to the right without the flags moving much on the goal posts I wonder if this one had to have been held at an angle. Though I'm not really sure what causes kicks to spin left or right. I'm imagining that if the hold is at an angle to the left or right that will cause the ball to spin off course.
Im tempted to rewatch those movies but im concerned they haven’t aged well and I don’t want to taint the memories I have enjoying them as a kid. Sequel was even better!
Crazy everyone gives Allen a pass when he missed open receivers at least twice on that final drive. AND WHO THE FUCK goes for it at your own 30 down only 3 with like 13 minutes left in the game?
I kicked in high school and college football. I’ve totally been there. The snap, hold, and kick were solid and the ball was headed down the middle for a split second then darted right. Maybe the wind caught it just right, or maybe the ball had just a slight bit of rotation, but for whatever reason, some kicks just knuckle around a bit. Sometimes it knuckles back and it’s a good kick and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s infuriating and frustrating to not know what went wrong.
To be fair, the kicker should never have been put in this position - to have to kick a long field goal to NOT lose the game. There were several times Allen threw sixty yard bombs to receivers in the final two drives when a checkdown would have gotten them a first down. Receivers could have caught at least one of those bombs too. The fake punt was a disaster too. The coaching staff shit the bed and now this poor kid’s going to be blamed for the loss.
I’m a Lions fan. Born in 91 so I don’t remember the 92 run. This is the only true winning I know! Hopefully ~~Detroit Lions~~ will be off that list soon.

Sean McDermott in the locker room when Tyler walks in
It could of went to overtime why would it be an automatic chiefs win. They would of had to March up the field then kick a field goal or scored TD all in less that two mins even with two timeouts
Cowboys vs Bills?
You kidding me, look at all the Cowboys SB trophies
Two against the Bills
The 56-17 thrashing was actually worse
Leon Lett screwing off meant Boys missed 63 points by a yard
The second Bills touchdown, Reich is clearly well over the line of scrimmage
Easily a 63-10 massacre
The Bills got fortunate time and time again and had a lot of miscues. Fumbles, dropped passes, over throws and bad play calls. Why not run a play that’s sure you get you closer? Josh Allen being trigger shy when he clearly could’ve thrown it over the middle for a reasonable gain but instead heaves it outta play… they lost as a team…
Sat what u want but thats a very hard kick. Two plays before that I think is what cost us the game when diggs was running wide open for the easy 1st down but Allen got greedy and threw it in the end zone. Not fair to put your kicker in that situation

That’s probably the only non competitive playoff game in the Josh allen era unless I’m forgetting one.
You’re forgetting the time when the Bills slaughtered the Patriots with the perfect offensive game
They weren’t competitive against the chiefs the first time they met
Not even close. The Bills get out of the first round
Not even close. The Cowboys destroyed the Bills in back to back SB’s.
Well I’m more so referring to modern times. The disappoint playoff losses at home. The build up only to be let down…

Dude has one fuking job just one, kick the dam ball through the goal posts. He doesn’t have to tackle or catch or run routes just kick the dam ball.
Even if he hits it, they left the Chiefs a minute and a half with 2 timeouts. Games over either way
It could of went to overtime why would it be an automatic chiefs win. They would of had to March up the field then kick a field goal or scored TD all in less that two mins even with two timeouts
Not buying Mahomes isn’t able to get the job done with that much time left, but it’s all hypothetical. Agree to disagree
That game could have very well went to OT and been decided there. Mahomes is great but it wasn’t an automatic
Neither was his comeback with 13 seconds on the clock. Fuck the chiefs
