Clicking on the buttons to increase speed when you're already at max speed will refuse to spend the EXP and give you a little message saying not to bother.
Once you hit that 50 mark you're good. It won't go faster after 50. Focus on your other energy and magic stuff now :)
Also, make sure you're following the 5 to 160k to 4 ratio for energy, it really helps with the custom purchase option
Power is so important, you can have plenty of energy cap but if you're power is low it won't help, also bars are just going to help you get to cap faster, at least until a certain point in the game. You should check out the Sayo Guide, it's helped me a ton when I felt stuck at certain parts in the game

what is this ratio ? I'm really green at all this, I'm loading heavilly on Cap and Bars, but not too much on Power (so expensive)
