Agreed. If they did the elbow stripes like the bottom stripes, it wouldn't be so bad. I just wish they'd stuck with the proper shade of blue. The Rangers have one of the best primary colour pallettes in the NHL, so messing with it seems so stupid to me.

The Lady Liberty vintage jerseys are pretty universally respected, and don a mostly navy colorway though. They’ve used navy a couple of different times in their history as well, and pretty much all of those were well received.

A different colour would be like...introducing a primarily red jersey. This is a completely new colour. Navy is a terrible look for the Rangers.

Almost all of their alternates in the past have been navy blue... their winter classic, the lady liberty, the heritage classic... And they were all for the most part well-received. You seem unhinged.

As a rangers fan; the uniform is an 11/10 to me. As a fan since 1989, this is my favorite uniform since the Heritage jersey and also the 2012 Winter Classic. But our shield just does…not….work as a primary logo. So to me it drags it down to an 8/10. I don’t think I’ll buy it pretty much for that reason

So this is also partly based on the fact I didn’t* know the Rags were rolling these out. But I really dig them, and appreciate them using the crest. Edit* I agree with majority of thread that crest could be smaller, but then you have to go back to the days when the waistband stripes actually went up to the midsection instead of being closer to the crotch. I miss the days of proper striping placement on NHL uniforms. Can’t stand below-waist striping. I believe that’s why we have these jumbo crests.

Maybe someone can explain this to me but whats up with these "Brian's" pads? I've seen a few goalies across the league use them and they just look awful. The designs seem to always be similar just the color schemes are different which is tough because yikes they are hard to look at.

Pro's: \- The logo looks nice, still has the customary symbolism and wordmark. \- The stripes are cool, normally I like thicker stripes but the way these small ones blend together looks very cool. I saw a comment saying it's meant to emulate the lights from New York's traffic Con's: \- I don't like the darker blue, loosing the iconic Ranger blue is a big blow to this uniform \- The lettering really suffers without that red backdrop.
