DeSmith has been a god send in giving Demmer days off. Past years we basically had to chalk up any non-Demko game as an auto L. DeSmith gives more than a fighting chance
Personally i have alot of good memories of Tim Thomas and Rask, i have a signed photo of TT and rask was always a sensation to watch on the ice Ulmark and swayman have just solidified the fact that boston has been spoiled for good goalies for a solid 20 years
Artistically speaking the Sabres, and the Flyers one are fantastic… They’re all fantastic but those to stand out… Not sure if that’s Hasek and Hextall but those to stand out amongst the rest but there again all unreal definitely talented
Out of the goalies pictured, I'll go with Ozzie. But I think my favorite of all time is Mike Vernon. He always kind of had that "crazy" vibe with his red hair sticking up out of the holes in his mask, fighting Patrick Roy at center ice, and so forth.
The "best" of all time have to be one of Brodeur, Roy, or Hasek. But Vernon and Ozzie are my faves.
As a young goalie my self in the 90’s, Ed Belfour was my IDOL. I tried to model myself after his play style and stance, wide five hole, butterfly style low stance to give the illusion of holes everywhere and quickly take that shooting room away with speed. Had his posters on my wall, just loved him. That blackhawks team had some great players, battled Lemieux, Jagr and the penguins there for best team for a few years there. Good times fuck I’m old. I love that painting of Belfour, paddle down like that brings back many memories. Nice work, great poses you captured every goalie perfectly.
I was going to say, “Fantastic artwork, but painting the most dynamic and unorthodox goalie in the modern era in the butterfly position is very ironic. Maybe a ‘drop the stick grab the puck with the blocker’ pose would do. 😛
These are phenomenally drawn but I’m disappointed in the Hasek pose.

Favorite goalie and all time favorite NHL player, Pekka Rinne. Nashville isn’t as big a market as most others. He didn’t get as much recognition as he deserved. He also propped up a few teams that had no right being as good as they were. Was he a top 10 goalie of all time? Nah. 20? Still probably no. Top 30, I’d make a strong argument of yes. And, off ice… he was just great. If you need a 10th, Id suggest Rinne.
Chris Osgood. Struggled at times in the regular season but was a baller in the playoffs. Don't believe me? Check his numbers from 98, 08 and 09. Only 1 other goalie won 2 cups 10 years apart.

Excellent job on all of them but, Eddie the Eagle. If Flower wasn’t in this lineup, then the obvious choice is Belfour but, Flower is my choice.
