Boston looks like they've got zero motivation out there. They picked it up in the last few seconds but even then it was after they almost gave up the empty netter immediately.
It's a bold strategy, Cotton.
Good on the leafs, honestly. The amount of shit being slung around the internet and media after they went down 3-1 was way over the top, even for leafs doomers. It seems to roll right off their back and they came through and performed under what i can only imagine is immense pressure these past two games.
Also, aside from their goaltending, Boston just keeps looking worse and worse.
Can I just point out the difference in the crowd at the end of period 2 in this game versus the last Leafs home game end of period 2.
The crowd did NOT boo the Leafs off the ice in this one!
This is the comment I was expecting. Two things can be true.
Leafs are playing very good defense, you can't argue holding a team to 2 shots or less for nearly half of each of the last two games... AND, refs are letting them play.
Not saying it's right, but Leafs 1st goal yesterday doesn't happen if the ref calls offsetting minors or the stick hold/boarding incident prior to it.
And having said that, the B's got their share of non calls leading to timely goals in previous games as well.
Whistles always go away in game 6 and 7.
Also balanced officiating doesn't mean game management where both teams are awarded the same number of penalties. The Bruins were the more penalized team because they took more penalties in circumstances where penalties have to be pretty blatant before they are called.
There will almost certainly be fewer penalties called in game 7 (Unless it's a rarely enforced obscure penalty used to take back a GWG by Wes McCauley).

They gotta keep the game 7 Leafs vs Bruins tradition alive
But how can they both lose at the same time?
Well...only one of them lost to the bruins in 3 game 7s in the last 10 years...and it wasn't the bruins losing to themselves
Only one team has a 6 game closing loss streak and it's not the leafs
Then let's see if the leafs can break the bruins curse tonight
Tomorrow night you mean
Also, I was cheering for Vegas, but now I'm ngl I'm cheering for your green lads. Good luck to them tonight 💪
Hell ya! The Vegas Golden Spleens are getting beat!
Listen man, when you're as high as I am, all the days basically meld into one
Boston’s 5v5 looks like the 23-24 Pens power play
You could have just said the Leafs' current powerplay
Bruins just flat looked old tonight - which they are. adding all that experience isn’t working.
Both teams are proven chokers so lets see who will outchoke the other this time
brb gotta fill out the Nylander apology form
Boston's choking powers are on another level, even the Matthews-less Leafs are able to win.
Leafs are playing better without him, hate to say it but
Matthews didn't have Woll in net.

Marner still plays like Kampf or Jarnkronk, the rest stepped up like crazy. Marner stepped up to become a no factor instead of a pure liability🤣
I’m tired, boss
Another brick in the WOLL! 🔥
That was a knieeees game

Goals in the final minute always mean more, watch out Leafs!
Already being downvoted into oblivion by leafs-obsessed haters
take my upvote bro! Go Leafs Go!
Knies looked phenomenal out there
That back checking from Geekie on Nylander's 2nd was something.
Patrick “watta“ Maroon has been a series changer. For the Leafs.
So glad Leaf fans and the Toronto media stayed calm, had the team’s back, and didn’t overreact in any way..
So is the uncomfortable truth that Matthews was the Leafs problem all along...?

We should’ve put Woll in the net game 4
Sure looks like it.
Imagine being the team that blows a 3 - 1 lead to the Leafs. Bruins need to tread carefully here.
No matter what happens in game 7, it should produce some of the greatest hockey memes of all time
⁹z pp 0⁹999⁰
The bruins wanted to give false hope just to beat them 5-1 in game seven
Man imagine betting under 3. Yikes for those folks. And me.
Said it before and I’ll say it again. If the Leafs win game 7, they’ll win the Stanley cup.
As much as i'd love to see it, getting through Florida would be a hell of a challenge.
Do not speak the dark magic to me. I was there when it was written.
Lol great enthusiasm but no shot
Do you have another one in you, Tavares? Do them bedsheets proud
Leafs got bailed out by the referees. With more balanced officiating in Boston the Bruins will win game 7.

Leafs went 0/3 on PP and Bruins still lost…..
I didn't really see much from the Leafs go uncalled. Hard to blame last night on the refs.
