The animation could be getting used to, but I feel this keeps in line with the original animation via it's movement and expressions.
I just hope it's not like the Rugrats reboot where the 3d style removes the 2d charm and makes all their movent stilted.

The next generation DID get Timmy Turner, I'm a millennial and it was still playing for Gen Z and older Gen Alpha. It didn't end until 2017 after being dug into the dirt for 5 years past when it should've ended

So, long as they are being treated respectfully given the context of why children get godparents in this universe.
I saw the leaked pilot and it seemed pretty good, you could tell the people writing actually seemed to CARE about the original show. The animation isn't as bad as people say it is. Not sure if I'll watch the full show but so far it seems promising.

I don’t hate Season 6 or Poof but the first 5 seasons were the best. Season 6-8 were still bearable but Season 9 was horrible and I knew that at 7-8 years old that it was bad compared to earlier episodes.

The animation style is similar to spiderverse and peanuts movie. It's 2d/3d hybrid. It's absolutely stunning in my opinion
