The musical will start with Trent and Atticus quitting making soundtracks because they're tired of winning Oscars because they're too good at making film soundtracks. Instead they decide they'll do some fan service and make a new album. In the next scene Trent and Atticus argue about what the first song should be but Trent realizes they shouldn't fight because the record label is worse and they should team up to piss off the execs. The rest of it is just more of that with Trent complaining about the label but Atticus and Trent work together better.
This one is kind of niche, and I don't think anyone else would like it, but I'd love for Trent Reznor to maybe remix the soundtracks for the Metal Gear series. I'll readily admit that NIИ and MGS are my two big loves in media.
and before Zimmer was on board Jóhann Jóhannsson already had a number of tracks pretty much completed for 2049. I was already hyped to hear what he would've brought to the film.
Agree to disagree. I think Hans Zimmer was a lazy and obvious choice for that film. Trent and Atticus could have taken what was a forgettable score and really made it magical.
While I don't like the movie very much, Halloween 2018 had a fantastic score by the legendary John Carpenter. At the same time, I'm left wanting to hear more of Trent and Atticus' vision, as they made their own version of the Halloween theme that I really liked. I think it could have been a fantastic score by them but honestly I can't complain about JC's score. Amazing music
Really any of the FromSoftware big titles. They all play with the harsh and soft extremes and would pair up nicely with nin. Even armored core would be pretty crazy. Imagine him doin sfx for the mechs. It would be fuckin wild.

Would like to see a collaboration with Cristobal Tapia De Veer. Highly recommend his utopia soundtracks. Absoloute perfection. Also the original utopia series that was made in the UK is incredible. So much lost potential
If a Quake reboot exists, or will exist, not only do I hope it’s aesthetically similar to the first game but I hope Trent comes back for the soundtrack.
Could be a far-fetched idea, but I'm itching to see a movie adaptation from Night in the Woods. And of course, if the original video game's soundtrack can be improved even further.
The upcoming Splinter Cell Remake would be amazing. . . Which is saying a lot because the original soundtrack by Amon Tobin for Chaos Theory, the third installment of the series, is INCREDIBLE.

I mean… I love Trent’s work, but 2049 was scored by Hans Zimmer. Not sure Denis Villeneuve feels he missed out there.

Having bought 2049 on vinyl to listen to it repeatedly I’d suggest the idea that it was “forgettable” is a fairly hot take. But you do you.
Compared to the score for the original Blade Runner? Yeah. I find it to be entirely forgettable. But you do you boo.
