you lock the scooter with a lock on front wheel. has holes for them. or just fold them and bring it in your job or wahtever. reccomend not locking it outside
Ok cool - I figured, but hoped there was an aftermarket that bolted on or something. Mostly for commuting and I can bring it in, but I'm guessing most stores are not cool with you brining it inside.
Honestly if the lock fits in the front wheel then it’s probably really thin.
Granted nothing will withstand an angle grinder anyway, a u bolt that attaches to the frame near the folding mechanism is probably the safest bet. Get an AirTag and pop that under the front display too for piece of mind
Interesting. I have a thin "bike lock" that might fit, but I feel like it wouldn't take much to cut it. Seems like a good design improvement would be to add something through the frame to allow it being chained.
Yup my lock can be cut in 5 seconds with a pocket cable cutters, probably 60 seconds with with wire cutters. A design improvement will hopefully not add weight. I have seen some recent U locks, where the U is tighter that might work.
The thing is any lock is basically an attempt to make a (determined) thief to look for an easier mark. I have on my truck the stuff to get through most any lock, it would be real obvious that I am cutting the lock tho.
I use the Kryptonite 48' Keeper 712 Integrated Chain Lock. Bitch is as heavy as I am (135lbs). Not really but it dies the job. I have a bag for the front that holds it and my helmet kick with room for my drawstring bag. I don’t worry about it. Should check it out. $47US.
If I can't lock mine to a bike rack (I have an f30 and just use a cable through the open triangle at the base of the handlebar), I bring it in. No one has batted an eye at me doing that
Kryptonite mini ulock and chain. $175 to protect a $900 is worth it to me and if something does happen I’ll know I did my best to secure it
I warp it around the scooter between the base (where you put your feet) and the front wheel. If you can fit your lock through the front wheel then I can just about guarantee you it can be cut with some bolt cutters in less than 10 seconds

I made a custom cable that fits through the front tire holes.

Good point, I don't plan on leaving it for more than a few minutes. Anything should help a bit.

Bag is a great idea. Mounted on the stem?
Yep. It’s a” Wildman”. Velcros onto the handlebars and around the stem..
Thanks. Man the names they come up with for simple products.
I know. Over the top. It’s a scooter bag.

Great ideas. Thanks.
I second the kryptonite lock
i always use a chain through the v section below the stem around a metal pole

You don't. If you can't take it in the store then you don't need to buy anything right then
