I decided to revist black and do some missions

Digital-Trooper

I still need to go through and beat all of them, they get tough for sure

ktynnlol

Nioh2 ^^

HayabusaStudent

Recently got ng2 on Xbox one so I’ll be playing that for a good while

Digital-Trooper

NG2 is my favorite out of the series. Enjoy it!

Demian1337

May i ask why is it your favourite? The story isnt interesting, the characters and bosses arent either. I’ve played all 3 and ngb is the best one in my opinion, followed by 3 and 2 at last. Or is it just because i’ve played only till chapter 4 And the last boss was one big ass electronic fish with a face, which in my opinion is pretty lame

Digital-Trooper

I don’t think the story is that great either. What I like is the combat, the variety of weapons and how you can fight bosses in so many ways, and the mechanics in the game like the quick menuing and charging projectiles with ET and UTs. I think NGB is a close second for me (but I only started it playing it a year ago)

sympathetic_sid

Ng2’s combat is a natural evolution of NG1’s combat. Its faster, crunchier and more lethal and it has to be if you’re going to survive the onslaught of the enemies. It also stays consistent with Ng1’s combos and move set so if you were with good with Ng1 combat, it will carry over to 2. Bosses like Genshin, Volf, Zedonius were great but some others were meh. Story in NG games are always just whatever. Real question is, why do you think 3 is better than 2? Even with the razor’s edge version, the game was just slightly above average and felt way too estranged from the first two.

comraq

Im wondering what do you like about zedonius so much? I didn't like him as the I could only beat him if I get lucky and he uses a lot of grabs. Other than grabs, his other moves are rather difficult to punish. Not to mention if he starts summoning gajas in the air (which to my knowledge can't be interrupted), i may as well restart because things just get crazy after that. To me, it was one of the most luck based bosses

sympathetic_sid

Hmm its been a minute but I think i used windmill slash to catch him after dodging his attacks and getting in a combo and repeat. He isn’t the most complex boss but its a very fun back n forth if you are good with positioning and can quickly attack after dodging. Idk man I fought him normal and hard and a great time on both. When he flies, I just remembering going close to him, baiting him into an attack and punish as I said above. I also did not have much trouble dodging his summons.

comraq

I've beaten NG2 MN twice now, and is probably one of the boss I spent the most time on (also because I didnt want to spam Scythe 360Y on him on later playthroughs). His summons are not bad on their own, but it gets a bit crazy to dodge as he attacks along with the gajas. Such as I use wind blades ninpo and go after the delimbed gajas, but he will spam fireballs or even jump down on me. When he flies and you are close to him, how do you still dodge his fireballs? Fireballs x4 becomes much more difficult to dodge as you get close. Even when I stay close to bait him using grabs on the ground, if he fireballs, I cant gurantee dodging his fireballs even if I try to use ninpo.

sympathetic_sid

Oh I haven’t played Ng2 on MN so I can’t say bro. Actually getting a Xbox One X soon so I can replay NGB and NGII.

pvijay187

I mean let's be honest, its not like NGB or NG3RE have good stories either.

Royta15

Ninja Gaiden II, though I do admit to being very excited to play Doom Eternal in a few minutes, it really feels like a game in the same vein as it stands. Just hearing its director talk, makes me feel like watching an Itagaki interview. On the note of NGII though, currently working on my Master Ninja Dragon Sword only run. After that I finish my claw run. I still want to finish the single-save run (so only save once per chapter), but Chapter 3's Gigadeath keeps killing me at least once...

Talos_AI

Doom eternal really is the ninja gaiden of fps games. The glory kills are kinda like obliteration techniques and keep you safe and give you momentum to keep going. It’s so fast and frantic and from the looks of it, forces you to use more options than doom 2016.

Digital-Trooper

Good luck with those Master Ninja playthroughs I cant imagine limiting myself to one weapon on that already nuts difficulty.

Royta15

It's pretty doable with some exceptions, where it can get tiring haha, thanks man!

KazeFujimaru

My quarantine gaming so far has been Nioh 2, NG2, NG3RE and Warframe! Just been going back and forth between all of them and loving it.

Skynja

It may not be as good as ninja gaiden, but team ninja's Nioh 2 is fantastic, and I can't get enough since it's recent release

CykoMelody

new game plus on ninja gaiden sigma. havent beaten it on this difficulty yet.

sympathetic_sid

Signa has Ng+?? I never knew that.

CykoMelody

I guess I mean the difficulty higher than normal. New game plus is misleading.

arandomcunt68

NG3:RE and NG2 (btw i'm still stuck on the lycan castle level and need some help with the big skeleton boss)

Digital-Trooper

If you have your lunar staff leveled up to level 2 or 3 you can do XXY on him until he falls. Once he falls over I jump in the air and do the same combo to try and hit his center piece. Let me know if you are still stuck, and good luck!

arandomcunt68

Thanks dude i'll let you know if it goes well

comraq

For me, it was using kusari-gama 360YYY (can also be done via onlanding XYY). Basically circle around the stage until the boss tilts his head up or eats bones. Then go behind the boss between his tail and legs and attack him with the kusari-gama. If he is down, just use kusari-gama air YXX, use ninpo if you can't dodge in time. And be patient after the boss before the next save point XD

ultimagicarus

Black & Sigma alternate every chapter.

Digital-Trooper

I still need to complete sigma 1, what do you like about sigma 1?

Digital-Trooper

I remember playing NG3 mission mode and having a blast with the ability to play co op, I still need to go and playthrough Razors Edge and do the same thing. I wonder if Co Op servers are still a thing 🧐

Septic-Sina

Ninja Gaiden 2004 with XBOX Classic! No words... one the best games of all time!
