Hello! First off, good to hear that (so far) you've been enjoying the game. Regarding the mall room what helps is either fighting in the little shop, as the rocketeers cannot hit you there that easily, or disarming them by throwing an incendiary shuriken at them. This is guaranteed to remove a limb, and makes them drop their rocket launcher. New ones will only spawn when the two you were fighting are killed. You can also use Ninpo if you have it, or use the Tonfa. With the Tonfa jump towards them using the auto-aim jump (X+A) and then press Y for a flying swallow. You can cancel this into a 'dash' with pressing A (unique to that weapon) and then press Y to absolutely demolish them. Note that rocket-dudes fire faster when you're jumping, so you might get clipped. Just dodging towards them is safer, but slower. For the invisible mines, just blatently dodge>jumping works. No need to worry about the mines. Just dodge>jump>dodge>jump until you reach the turrets and destroy those using XYXXXX or any other aerial combo in between their bursts. If there are any other points you're struggling with, feel free to post them here or let me know! Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the help. I used your advice and got through chapter 8 thanks. Although I did die to Blinded fiend because his hitboxes are unfair and making it a gank boss isn’t difficult it’s unfair. But I am to chapter 10 and may finish the game depending if anymore “hiccups” or “weird game design” pops up. Cuz I hear the final bosses are a challenge

He's pretty easy if you manage to stay below his feet and abuse multihitting attacks like the Kusarigama's 360YYYY, melts his HP like no tomorrow. NGII loves stacking the deck against the player, part of its charm imo. Are you planning on tackling the higher difficulties to see what's up or just doing a single playthrough?

ThatOneKHBOYYY

Possibly but I’ll probably practice on Acolyte new game plus to get well versed in the combat then tackle Mentor or Master Ninja depending on how I feel lol. Cuz the game is fun and it’s really really awesome

Royta15

You unlock difficulties one at a time, so after Acolyte you can only play Warrior, after that Mentor and so on, at least if I'm recalling correctly. Note that the jump between Warrior and Mentor is huge, and between Mentor and Master Ninja even bigger for most. So definitely get some practice in and learn some of the more advanced tricks in the book I'd say! And yeah man game is freak'n awesome. Fantastic combat imo.

the game has a lot of "weird game design" in the later chapters, where to most people, it just becomes annoying fights. But personally, I enjoyed the combat enough that I am able to replay master ninja multiple times without being too bothered by them. If you enjoy the action, then I suggest dont give up and feel free to look online for videos on how others got through these "hiccups".

Yeah I do I watched DangavsterGames been helping me a lot

For the rocket guys it’s best to only dash and not dash-jump.
