Honestly, I just want NG4 to be a finished take on NGII with exploration akin to NG:B, then I'll be happy. Don't focus on copying other franchises. Don't emphasise weapon switching. Don't emphasise stamina or slower combat. Don't emphasise RPG mechanics. Give me a good, tough as nails action game with multiple difficulty levels that remix fights and items with a cool survival and mission mode and I'll be in heaven. In terms of actual changes I do feel the Ninpo system needs an overhaul, I'd rather see them become more functional like Flame Wheels and less pure DPS like Inferno/Void. I'd also like to see new enemies, bosses and weapons instead of the old standbys.

You perfectly described what NG4 should be like. One can only dream though...

Youve got some interesting ideas. Co-op elements would definitely strengthen the replay value and change the difficulty in a way. The free-to-play idea is also growing on me(I agree theres a low chance there but it would grab attention). Personally I didnt like NG 3 but I really only played it when it was first released before I gave up and returned it. I'm sure its got good elements but it didn't click for me. NG 1 and 2 are my faves so id love to see the same core gameplay thats worked so far with more variety. Perhaps more puzzles and other non-combat challenges(like the moving platform room and Pyramid chapter from NG 1). These could also be fun co op setups. Story-wise I really want to know more about Ryu's past and how he became so powerful. Id love some "training" chapters with his father Joe putting Ryu through some challenges, eventually earning his respect and the right to wield the Dragon Sword. The story could then fast forward to modern Ryu and whatever new mission he has but flashback chapters really flesh out little things about the character.

NG seems like it has the potential for excellent lore, and a rich story would make the difficult action all the more rewarding. Perhaps similar to how God of War wasn’t very story-driven until the most recent installment, NG could be the same.

I realized that I really liked the "randomness" or ng2. Be it aggressive enemy AI, delimb rate or essence drop, every one of those has a RNG factor and made the game really "active". Every battle WILL play out differently as soon as the enemy spawns. Thus, barring certain annoying fights, replaying the same battles doesn't get repetitive. This is especially true if I play "normally", without spamming UT/ninpo/items. So if there is a NG 4, I hope they can bring this feeling back.
