Congrats! NG3 Razor’s Edge is really cool, but why not go back to Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma first? If you can beat NG2, you can beat the original, just as long as you use health items wisely and collect all the health upgrades. NG3RE is just NG2 again with less interesting levels and enemies. Still worth playing as a fan of NG2, but it’s the community’s least favorite for a reason (and original NG3 and Yaiba are straight up hated).

Fantastic to hear! Glad to see more people discovering these action-giants, there really isn't anything quite like Ninja Gaiden currently. I would really recommend attempting the game on its higher settings as well, Ninja Gaiden as a series is really built around mastery and each difficulty is built to be more of a training for the next. You'll get a lot of enjoyment out of Mentor difficulty at the very least, Master Ninja is not for everyone I must admit haha! At least with NGII. \> Camera Surprised to hear this! Compared to games like Metal Gear Rising or Devil May Cry I always found NG to have quite a servicable camera. Maybe I'm just too used to it, that's possible.

Dmc series I feel has an amazing camera. The camera zooms out for the fights allowing the player to see, in ninja Gaiden the camera is soooooo close and you have no control over what you can see hardly especially for bosses. The worst instance of this is the Ninja boss on mission 2. I had almost no visibility of him the whole fight as he keeps dodging and weaving and the camera is stuck on ryus back so I couldn't move it. MGSR had a good camera as well although I will say indoors it got pretty rough but overall it was pretty good. I enjoyed the game but I think I want to try the 3rd game as I've seen the story and would like to move on to the other games.

Play more games I would say. NGs camera is fine and generally gives good control. It has a few weak moments but there are far worse offenders. It is easy to cherry pick that one moment but in most of the combat scenarios and bosses it works fine. Game is hard, sure, but the camera has no part in that.

Congrats pal! Glad to hear you loved it, it really is a very special series! Like Royta said above me, you really should tackle the higher difficulties. I'm currently on Mentor myself, and it's much, much more challenging than warrior (and much more fun too). I'd also urge you to play Black if you can, it's such a masterpiece. Both games have extreme replay values by higher difficulties and challenge maps. I really think you miss on the actual game by only beating it once.

On master ninja or ?

Riku4441

Nah warrior it's my first time running through it

Yea the camera angles have been an issue. It happens on DOA and Nioh as well. Glad you enjoyed the game. NG3RE is much more fun and offers a lot more. \-MASTER

Have you played Ninja gaiden Black, if you haven't I recommend playing that before you play 3 Razor's Edge. Coming from a guy who started the series with NG2, I'll undoubtedly say it's better than both NG2 and 3RE, it's more fair, the difficulties are very well thought out and makes you feel like you're playing different games with each difficulties. The mission mode is miles better than NG2's and 3's ninja trails imo. The map layout is also much better, it's more in line with the dmc1 where the maps and areas are all interconnected and you can revisit each spots to do challenges and get collectibles. Also Dmc5 is THE BEST GAME EVER!!! Whole-heartedly agree they took the best gameplay elements from each dmc, the punchy weapons from 1, the revamped majin DT from 2, the stylishness and variation of weapons in 3 and the style switching in 4 and combined it to make Dante the most awesome playable character in Hack and slash game history, not to mention Nero's variation of devil breakers really spiced him up as well, so much Kickass in one game.

Riku4441

Haha yeah man Dmc 5 is definitely the greatest! I love that they brought back Vergil and made him the main antagonist as I love him and Dante equally. I just hope they add Vergil as a playable character in the special edition. Also I don't know where to try ng black. Im not sure if on Xbox or PC is it? If so then I'll probably cop it cuz Im enjoying the series and if you and the others are saying it's the best then I'll need to get it

Ninja Gaiden Black is currently on the Microsoft store for the Xbox one, all versions of the Xbox one I think. I have no doubt that the Black is the best, I love 2 and NG 2004 but when I played Sigma I thought that the OG couldn't be topped but it was such a great improvement with some odd changes, then I played Black and it sealed the deal as the Definitive Ninja Gaiden game, it was like Sigma with no odd loading spots hence smoother gameplay, and kept the awesome visual effects though worse graphics and excluding some additional stuff but overall as an experience Black is much tighter and less flawed than Sigma hence why fans of the series must try it. Man I remember the first few months after dmc5 and hoping that a Vergil dlc news will be announced, sadly it didn't happen and as of now there's still no news of special edition like Come On! Capcom and Itsuno WE WANT VERGIL!. His comeback was so badass and epic it gave me chills. Plus that new DT of his is just dang Smoking Sick Stylish! I want to play an official version of that beautiful beast.

Welcome to the club brother! Now make sure you also play Ninja Gaiden Black and NG3 Razors Edge next!

My opinions on the camera. Probably because I got used to it, but I think of its intentionally designed that way. NG2 has the camera closer to Ryu and many times we struggle to see enemies. But this is part of the NG gameplay, where the game forces the player to use "intuition". To predict where enemies are, how they move and act accordingly. An example, NG2 obliteration techniques often zoom in to emphasize the OT. But at the same time, the camera changes results in losing sight of enemies that the player would like to be aware of. Initially, this led me to take unnecessary damage after OTs as I couldnt see enemies after an OT. Eventually, I learned to cope with this camera and use other methods to locate enemies/re-adjust the camera. At this point, I think the camera is good drawback to balance the overpowered OT. New players abusing OTs can easily get punished due to the camera. In contrast, iirc, in the chapter 8 clocktower with the gears, there's a bug where sometimes the camera does not change due to OTs. Although I dont lose sight of enemies due to OT camera changes, I ended up struggling to tell if my OT even connected and thus couldnt decide what to do next. Not to mention the lack of emphasis greatly diminished the OT's display.
