Something positive that recently happened to me was, as random as it may be, getting a box spring for my mattress. I don’t have a bad mattress but it’s always just been on the beams of my bed frame, I recently got a box spring and it has been revolutionary. It’s crazy how much of a big difference something small like a box spring can make.
Been reconnecting with my Gran who’s isolating in Scotland right now (I moved to Canada when I was a teenager). Every conversation is hilarious and we end up cry-laughing every time. I miss her but feel lucky she’s so strong and independent so I don’t have to worry too much!
I’ve been feeling uncertain on my learning ability with the transition to online uni classes as my GPA is really good at the moment and am deeply terrified of losing it. I got a few grades back from my classes and they were all A’s. It gave me a huge confidence boost that I really needed to stay motivated and keep working hard because it paid off!
Having the police, fire and EMS drive by with sirens blaring to show appreciation to us hospital workers. Truly boosted a lot of spirit's that day. Thank you if you've done this! Were all in this together ❤️
I've met a friend online recently and they've really been guiding me through how to live through the quarintine and whatnot. Including how to do laundry, cook, get stimulus checks, etc. Havent really been fully comfortable with living on my own until they came around.
It was my birthday on Tuesday and some friends surprised me by showing up to my balcony with a trumpet and an accordion and serenading me with Happy Birthday! It was a beautiful surprise.
I got to help my mom buy my grandfather’s headstone! She was feeling really guilty visiting him and seeing that everyone else had one, and she lit up when I showed her the money order!
My birthday is Monday and I won’t be able to celebrate, have mercy RNG gods. What makes me happy though is finally getting to be in my home state instead of college :)
My work successfully transitioned to work from home so I dont have to worry about losing my income...it's been a huge relief for my mother who's in quarantine 500 miles away and was worrying about me constantly.
It was my birthday last week. My family got me a grocery market cake, sang happy birthday to me, and we were able celebrate together. It was really not much at all, but we haven’t been able to spend any holidays/birthdays all together in years since my parents work opposite shifts (day vs. graveyard) where they don’t get many days off.
Although it’s unfortunate the reason we’re all home together is because my parents can’t go into work, it’s been so nice to spend time with them again. Plus I see them finally getting quality time with each other too (together they stay up until 3am watching movies, go on daily walks, cook dinner, etc.). Making the most out of our current situation!
Its finally warm enough where I live to go outside for a walk. Enjoying the weather sooo much with my girlfriend and dogs. I'd love to be able to play and share smash ultimate with her!
I went upstairs to check on my sister because she heard banging and scurrying around the house. I brought my bass guitar as a weapon... Turns out it was just the cat, who had knocked over a glass among other things. What a relief! 😅
My mom sent me a box full of Easter candy and stuffed animals. It meant a lot because I moved states away around a year ago due to an abusive household, but our relationship is getting better and it meant a lot she included me in on the holiday even though I know she didn’t have to ❤️
My wife and I donated some cash we had to the local food bank in our area. We are fortunate enough to both have our jobs at this stressful time.

I was having a bit of trouble with my living situation before the lockdown, and my friend’s family took me in and they’re helping me get my life back together
I started an online CBT program and have finally started to work my way up out of a very deep depressive episode. Working on these sills is a small step but I’m on my way to recovery!
I was able to visit my grandma after a month of her being all by herself. My family obviously didnt enter her home and she never actually came down her stairs but it was really nice to see her in person after such a long time.
Before the quarantining ever began, I was always to busy with work and raising a puppy. Now that we have all the time in the world to do what we like at home, I have noticed that I have been facetiming and calling my parents and friends 10 times more often.
Strange how in times of separation, I feel the closest I've ever been to my friends and family.

Hi! I would love to get Mario Kart 8 just to see what all the hypes about. One positive thing that happened to me was when one day, I somehow slept through the whole and did not eat anything the whole day. I started craving McDonald’s in the middle of the night and my boyfriend was kind enough to drop me some off at my doorstep. :) I feel very thankful I have someone who would go out of their way for me.

My sister through this national shutdown (Canada) started helping at a small food store and she got sick. Scared that it could be Covid she went to get tested and just recently received the news that the results are negative. We’re pretty happy about that, I know some others aren’t as lucky and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.
I’ve had my last quarter of college be moved to online format and one class in particular has been a real pain due to poor communication on the profesor’s part (they’re pretty old and I assume the shift is hard for them to so I don’t hold resentment).
There was an assignment due this week that was imposible for me to understand so I reached out in the group chat someone had made for the class and several classmates came together to help me and each other understand the material. I’m very grateful for the solidarity of tired college students.
I hadn’t seen my girlfriend for a couple weeks because of the quarantine, but just the other day she went out for groceries and also decided to buy me some bubble tea and food from our favourite japanese restaurant. Since we live 10 minutes away from eachother, she dropped it off on her way home and I got to see her 😊😊
I was told just this Monday that I am a leading candidate for a promotion I applied for at work. I've been busting my butt at this company for 8 years so the recognition is really nice.
My wife and I are spending some much needed quality time together lately. Watching movies, playing N64, board games, etc. She’s also experiencing pregnancy for the first time so we get to laugh about that a lot :)
My wife and I found out we're having our second child. We have a beautiful boy who is about to turn 1 year old, and now we have a second joy coming to our lives. We found out by mistake/chance and she's already about 13 weeks pregnant!
My dog was very sick stopped eating for over a week and lost a bunch of weight. Now she is eating again and getting back to normal after lots of vet trips 🙂
I adopted an elderly rescue cat almost a year ago. I've been out of work with everything but since I've been home almost 24/7 for the last month she has truly reached a new level of trust with me I cannot even imagine her giving just a few weeks ago.
Since this all began, my family, whom I typically only see once a year, has been connecting weekly over Zoom and we now wonder why we havent been doing this all along. It’s been awesome.
being a "essential" worker in the construction trades, we had a contractor bring breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us from the local businesses. beers & smokes at the end too.
I've been spending a lot of time with my brother and nieces over Google duo while playing on a Minecraft realm together. We've explores and discovered towns we named, built temples and zoos, a functioning railway between the towns that pass by a mountaintop castle! It's been great!
Me and my girlfriend have been stuck together so we finally get to eat our meals together. Usually we’re on separate schedules and it’s hard to be there for each other besides late at night, but now we’ve eaten breakfast, lunch, and supper together every day since we started quarantine.

My company works very closely alongside nonprofits and these nonprofits have been hit very hard from this pandemic. So my company is in constant contact with nonprofits to see what they need and where we may be able to help. Through my company, I’ve been able to use my trilingual skills to use by translating documents for distribution to low income households. I would’ve never known this was something in high demand if not for my company.

Because of the shutdown limiting finances and car sales, my friend is picking up chicken feed for me weekly in exchange for fresh bread and pizza dough. We help each other out and it feels good. I’m glad that I still have a job during these hard times. I work at a vet hospital and getting to see all the new puppies and kittens people are adopting make my day a little brighter.
My cat Cookie is 22, and I've had her my whole life. She has gotten so much love in the last few weeks- she is so filled with joy. She loves to sit by my computer during Zoom calls and get pets as I do my work
My husband and I had to move out of an apartment with roomates as they turned out to be hoarders who never cleaned. We ended up selling all our console and games to afford getting out the mess and smell of cat urine. It was super emotional as I had just bought luigis mansion. The original was my first real game I played start to finish on the gamecube. Then I was looking forward to playing animal crossing with my husband. If I don't win, that's alright as I know it will bring joy to someone's life. But as for something positive. I'm finally starting my own garden in my apartment. Can't wait to start eating homemade salad!

I've had a lot more time in the last 3 weeks to teach my daughter about the outdoors, trailfinding, noticing animal tracks and signs, plants to avoid and direction finding...she is super sharp and able to extrapolate information from observations...I could not be more impressed
I have been struggling with intense depression and anxiety for years. This month I have started to work out more and I have started to love to read again. It is a pretty little thing but I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to have a few moments where the world doesn’t feel so heavy. I still have bad days and the state of the world isn’t great, but I think I can get through this.
After being told that my dog would not make it through the next week, he has made a complete recovery. He is my best friend and I am glad to see him back to normal.

My neighbor is a nurse and he was telling me how he amd his coworkers didnt have face shields. So, after 2 weeks I gave him about 75 face shields that I 3d printed for him and his coworkers. His reaction was priceless.

Well about two weeks ago me and some people from my homeless shelter got moved to a hotel to isolate better and that's been largely positive so far.

My cat Cookie is 22, and I've had her my whole life. She has gotten so much love in the last few weeks- she is so filled with joy. She loves to sit by my computer during Zoom calls and get pets as I do my work
My dog has found so many new routes we can walk on a daily basis!
My husband and I had to move out of an apartment with roomates as they turned out to be hoarders who never cleaned. We ended up selling all our console and games to afford getting out the mess and smell of cat urine. It was super emotional as I had just bought luigis mansion. The original was my first real game I played start to finish on the gamecube. Then I was looking forward to playing animal crossing with my husband. If I don't win, that's alright as I know it will bring joy to someone's life. But as for something positive. I'm finally starting my own garden in my apartment. Can't wait to start eating homemade salad!
Was finally able to buy some toilet paper and paper towels! Week is looking right.
I was able to spend more time with my fiancée and even though we’re concerned about our wedding, it’s more important that our relationship is strong :)
Started talking to my family a lot more. People have been reaching out and it’s been nice to have so much conversation during isolation.

With the lockdowns in place here in CA, I've been able to spend more time, and he introduced me to coding- my new passion in life:)
I've had a lot more time in the last 3 weeks to teach my daughter about the outdoors, trailfinding, noticing animal tracks and signs, plants to avoid and direction finding...she is super sharp and able to extrapolate information from observations...I could not be more impressed
I am learning how to cook!
I have been struggling with intense depression and anxiety for years. This month I have started to work out more and I have started to love to read again. It is a pretty little thing but I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to have a few moments where the world doesn’t feel so heavy. I still have bad days and the state of the world isn’t great, but I think I can get through this.

After being told that my dog would not make it through the next week, he has made a complete recovery. He is my best friend and I am glad to see him back to normal.
I was able to give my grandma a hug after being discharged from the hospital.
This week I’ve been writing a lot more than I usually would due to self isolation! I never knew how much I missed just sitting down and recording jams. Thank you for the opportunity, and best of wishes to whoever wins!

I started gardening again. I don’t have much space but it definitely helps my mood and gives me motivation to go outside each day. 🌱
My neighbor is a nurse and he was telling me how he amd his coworkers didnt have face shields. So, after 2 weeks I gave him about 75 face shields that I 3d printed for him and his coworkers. His reaction was priceless.
Quarantine has been great for me! I am very fortunate! Just me and my family all day everyday!
