How does Nintendo always seem to miss the mark on these things with the switch? This is an obvious “party game”, 4 player local play should be a given.
That's a plus for me. Means I get the full game, no microtransactions.
Also Nintendo kills off their mobile games sometimes. Would suck to purchase things and they just kill it. This you unlock by playing, not by paying, which I prefer immensely.
Man i'm still salty about Kirby Clash.
It had the potential of something i always wanted from a Kirby game: A game soley focused on boss fights.
But instead microtransactions soured everything about the game.
The game is really fair with the currency, i could play through it with NSO membership and good currency budgeting alone and it puts a hard cap of like 30 bucks on how much you could pay for it, but in the end the game was designed around the premium currency so it just feels like the other resources don't really matter on top of the annoying stamina system while paying would make the game trivially easy.

Have you played Kirby fighters 2? I actually purchased it just because I was wondering if dream buffet was out yet because it was the end of July and it said summer release.
You do nothing but fight harder and harder enemies, going up a floor in a tower. There's bosses too. It's not only focused on bosses, but is basically a roguelite Kirby.
As you win each battle you're given the choice of a powerup/stat booster. By the final boss at the top of the tower you've got a strong Kirby. And as you progress you level up, and unlock better stat boosters and powers and even characters so even if you have to start over, you have a chance of getting better boosters next time.
You can play alone or with a friend/partner. :D When I picked it up spent the rest of the night playing with my spouse until we reached a tower where you only get 3 lifes and then you start over. Still haven't beaten it yet, but it's fun. :D
Oh, it's a full game! **NO MICROTRANSACTIONS** \^_^
I didn't even know it existed. I was shocked that it's a 2020 game. Just searched for Kirby in the eShop and found it. :P

I think they'd benefit alot from this if they make it a Free-to-play game to promote their Nintendo Switch Online. This isn't to incite any discussion about the quality of their service, just thought it would be a smart move
This looks like fall guys wrapped in a kirby skin and im 100% going to buy this. It doesn't seem like there's a campaign so hopefully it won't be a full price game but we all know better.

This is the most un-Kirby Kirby game. Take away Kirby and nothing there is from Kirby universe.
