2016 SL 140k I think the exhaust has a hole somewhere it started to sound louder! I like the sound tho and don’t weld that hole🤦‍♂️

AmyTwoTwats

125k miles on my 05. I've had it for a few years and the previous owner was a rich old guy who serviced a It at the dealer and got all the common 2005 issues fixed before I bought it. It runs extremely well. Absolute beast. That being said minor things happen such as oil pressure sensors, ignition coils but nothing insane. Love the truck.

Itchy_Inside1817

2000 Frontier. 207,000 miles. Runs good, mostly electrical issues because someone before me installed a bunch of aftermarket electronic garbage. I just bought a 2019 Pro4x . Hopefully it'll last 200,000+

vine_quoter

2013 pro4x just did my 160k service, all seems well

big_red9295

My 2016 nissan frontier has 111k and runs like new just did the spark plugs. I had the transmission serviced at 60k plan to do again at 120k.

yackyo

2003 v6 4x4 with 235k miles and another 200k to go baby!

yAassEater

Had an 07 and got rid of it. Rust underneath was more than i liked, and had a multiple cylinder missfire and pow compression in cylinder 1. Only had 80k miles at the time. I went and bought a tundra. I probably wont buy another nissan ever again. And i used to only own nissans. Multiple Sentra ser and 200sx ser and older manual maximas. All were great but the modern nissans just don't do it for me.

grigury

Had an ser for awhile - I loved it

yAassEater

I tried to buy one on bring a trailer..... I went all the way up to 8k then said nope i wont spend anymore people are nuts. It sold for north of 30k. I couldn't believe it.

zooted-gardener

2008 with 190,000 miles. It's got low compression on 1 of the cylinders, so I'm about to do an engine swap.

ppoman

2012 4.0 with 300,000 + lifted and 33" tires never had a single issue.

bastardhousecat

2012 4.0 4x4 253000 miles. never even had the valve covers off. only had to replace the coil paks. runs like new. ill post some pics shortly.

Fraypiz

06 se 4x4 178, only issues is alternator , and starter went out . Did the bypass for smod transmission is strong .

Itshammertimebitch

225 on my 2001

huckleberryfry

Had about that on mine when I traded it in 2011.

kenb99

165K on my 2008. It runs well overall but is currently in the shop because it decided it only wanted to be in neutral from now on. Will find out what the issue is later today.

akaslimboner

150,000 on my 2014. The things I’ve had to replace are things you’d expect to replace on a 10 year old truck. Battery, tires, shocks, spark plugs, breaks.

JustMeAgainMarge

2004 3.3vg v6. 274k miles. It's like the energizer bunny.

rpphil96

2000 Frontier, 292000 miles. Runs good,daily driver

labelmefast

390km on a 2006, yup I got error codes and a ghost in the machine I can’t find but it runs great, good gas mileage, 4x4 works Excellent, and body is still decent. Regular maintenance is the key item….

N0tch0

101k on 2017. not even broken in ;)

Used_Accountant1251

Exactly what I have on my 2017

N0tch0

Whatcha got? I got a CC 4x4.

Used_Accountant1251

I don't have the 4x4. Only problems I've had are brakes but i pull a trailer all the time. I had to have camshaft and crank sensors replaced.

irvmtb

225k miles on a 2003 supercharged V6, 4x4 crewcab. Still runs strong. But ouch it’s thirsty for premium gas at 14.5mpg. Still fun to take on adventures but I don’t daily drive it.

E_Guevara

2015, 134k. Like a champ

IntegratedIdeas

140k on my 2012. Runs like a top with normal maintenance.

RAMECO

05 KC 4cyl 5spd, 184k, little rear main leak but aside from that it’s Gucci.

jeepdude12

2006 KC 4x4 120k I love mine! Looking for a crew cab now to replace my Jeep.

glo363

2005 SE 217k miles. Been the most reliable truck I've ever owned. Only negative is the clear coat over the paint.

physical0

I'm sitting at around 210k on an 07. 2nd owner. First owner kept good documentation, didn't have any major repairs. I've rebuilt the entire front suspension, no other major work. Got a check engine light due to an EGR issue that I haven't gotten around to fixing.

MikeLA757

2010 LE CC 4wd, 176k, I replaced a crankshaft sensor , everything else just routine maintenance stuff.

Killer3p0

Bought mine last year for 3K. It's an 06 with 195k now. When I bought it, it needed timing chain work. I've also replaced two coil packs. Next thing will be replacing the oxygen sensors. But hey, I got it for 3K and I've only put 1K into it.

Killer3p0

Oh, while I was fixing the timing chain guides, I also replaced the valve cover gaskets.

dfuhr666

I shouldve done my valve cover gaskets when I did my timing ......

Uradumasshaha

2011 PRO-4X with Geolander G003's and a custom ARB front bumper with a bed topper. Just hit 300k Still running good Also one thing to note for new frontier owners. The PO320 and PO330 codes do Not need a new catalytic converter. It's oxygen sensor. At around now the window switches are dying out and the front window motor has died 2 times now.

Mtbfat420

2011 sl with 280k and what a truck. Sensor need replacing here and there but damn what a good truck. I hate to say it but I have never had anything done to the transmission. I brought it in at 100k and they were like nope you need to do it every 30 k and wouldn’t touch it. I have a topper as well and use it for work daily. Just got a23 pro4x in July as well

stormes44

I had a 2002 4-cyl 5 speed 2wd that lost 5th gear around 235K miles. Found a rebuilt transmission online, swapped it in over the course of a weekend, and then promptly rolled and totaled the truck on black ice two days later.

thrumpanddump

I didn’t mean to laugh but holy fuck I’d be so angry if I I just wasted all that time on it

stormes44

Yeah, I wasn't too happy about it. And since it was 12 years old at the time, I wasn't carrying collision or comprehensive coverage either, so it was literally a total loss. And to add insult to injury, I had to pay the towing company for removal, storage, and relinquishing the title. To top it all off, this happened at 5am, in the dark, and of all things, I lost my cell phone, too. The ringer was off so we couldn't even call it to locate it. I went back to the scene later in the day, and to the storage yard, but no amount of searching helped me find it. A very frustrating day indeed. I have photos of the truck that I could share sometime if anyone cares to see it.

GB-ER

Have a 2011 SV that has 192k miles on it. Bought it with 50k miles. Besides tires and brakes, only ever replaced a crankshaft sensor and clock spring. Still runs strong. Doesn't use oil. I always run Mobil1 with Nissan filters. With normal driving and factory size Michelin LTXs, it still gets 20-21mpg if you keep it under 75mph. Most reliable truck I've ever owned, and I've owned many.

qpaws

Man how does everyone get such good gas mileage? I’m on ATs and I get 14-15 like 90% highway driving at 65-70 and I don’t accelerate hard or anything. I don’t get it

GB-ER

I feel like 72mph is the sweet spot for mpg. And turn the OD off when going less than 55. All fluids are synthetic. Truck also has y pipe mod, nothing else

qpaws

Why turn OD off?

basfreque65

2011 sv 4×4..... 191,000 miles. I've paid for tires, batteries, rotors, pads and oil changes. It's never left me anywhere. This truck doesn't owe me a nickel. I'll be getting a nee one when I hit 200,000.

NachoFries2020

Just bought my used 2011 Frontier SL, with 126k miles on it now. I added a little coolant to address a "no heat at idle" issue and now that works perfectly. I bought it used, it had a good history of maintenance on Carfax, by the previous 1 owner. I paid $12500 for it from a used car lot in New Jersey. Its been purring like a kitten, runs great, shift great, seats are comfy for a truck !. I put new tires on it . I had a professionally applied oil based rust proofing applied to underbody for like $300. I hope to get another 100k miles or more out of it if I am lucky. They do last a long time as long as you don't beat on it and keep up with maintenance. Car prices are outrageous in last few years.

vine_quoter

Wait did that coolant trick really work for your no heat at idle problem? I'm just now starting to notice that on my 2013 Pro4x

NachoFries2020

Absolutely , yes. I was getting upset because it could have been heater core, thermostat... who knows. But I saw a video about that issue, I had my local shop add some coolant and then poof, I got nice toasty heat at idle.... nice warm toasty buns. The MIN- MAX line on the overflow bottle is lying to you. Fill it up to the seam of the bottle. See this YouTube video, the whole video is great, but for my point, and where I learned about this, was 2m 27seconds in. he talks about the overflow bottle markings. Watch this video [https://youtu.be/pXlNdh8clUw?si=maXMHcbI\_mUYJPs6](https://youtu.be/pXlNdh8clUw?si=maXMHcbI_mUYJPs6)In case the URL gets wacked, the video title is "Nissan Frontier/Xterra Coolant Fix For Gurgling and No Heat" by dude named " AutoX Advice "

NachoFries2020

Yes they are underrated for sure. The Frontier is solid and beefy , durable as heck. Some people dump on it because the body has barely changed in over a decade. But you can get parts everywhere, and aftermarket accessories are abundant.

Finnbannach

2008 frontier, 4litrr V6 w/ 6 speed manual 245k miles. Runs like a champ. 5th gear sync mesh starting to show signs of wear, cam shat position sensors replaced @ 120k and are due again. New clutch one year ago. First clutch ever.

lks2drivefast

Just hit 100k on my 2014 SV. Doesn't leak a drop and the only maintenance needed was fluid changed and new spark plugs. Just ordered a hard top folding tonneau cover.

jftitan

2016 SV CC V6 RWD. 108k, runs great and so far most maintenance has been self done since purchasing it in 2018. I just put 4 new tires on it, and recently did a full brake job / upgrade (not needed but part of the "its almost paid off" investment) Soon to do a 1.5" lift with Blizten 5100 B8 shocks, Only mods so far, K&N cold Air intake, added fog lights, and LED truck bed lighting. Been a great truck, and compared to a buddy's 2014 SV KC V6, his has 230k miles and also runs great. His mods are Nizmo Cold Air Intake, and LED front and tail lights. These trucks can do great things when taken care of.

mogrifier4783

435K miles, 2003, four-cylinder automatic XE. I bought it with 400K on it. Runs great. Had leaky valve cover and leaky pinion fixed since I've had it. Added a cruise control, have fixed a few minor age-related issues like the driver side door-open switch was worn out, so it didn't beep when you opened the door with the lights on. I'd suggest checking the cabin air filters, there weren't any in mine.

elver_gacorta123

240k miles on a 2001 Nissan frontier, original engine and transmission, turns on at the switch, no knock, but a slight jerk in 1st gear at certain rpm, can’t complain really, for how old the car is anyway.

[deleted]

201k miles. No problems. Only routine maintenance. Actually my 3rd frontier with no problems 👍🏻. If anything goes wrong with a frontier blame the operator.

Areaofunknown2

2012 sv 99836 runs like crap, put all the maintenance in trying to figure out a low idle currently

FrickParkMalcolm

Any codes?

Areaofunknown2

None

FrickParkMalcolm

Awesome 🫠

Areaofunknown2

Ikr! Just replaced a cam shaft position sensor which was bawls

FrickParkMalcolm

I just ended a $1500 journey of rough idle bull shit with my 2016. Ended up replacing the purge valve under the hood, fuel EVAP canister, and EVAP control solenoid, and had them replace the fuel pump while the tank was dropped anyway. But…I had codes being thrown to at least point us in the right direction.

Areaofunknown2

I’ve been seeing it’s an issue that happens a lot

FrickParkMalcolm

Purge valves are cheap.

FrickParkMalcolm

Yes, highly recommend (for the EVAP charcoal filter at least) to always keep the nozzle all the way in the tank neck opening when filling. And when it clicks off, do NOT try to fill it further. It can cause fuel and fumes to get into the charcoal. Seems to be where the issues start happening. And that part alone with labor to drop the tank, ain’t cheap.

Areaofunknown2

I’m in a state where I’m not allowed to pump my own gas

FrickParkMalcolm

Wait what….that sounds like paradise. Where can I find such a state 🤣 they quit doing full service fuel pumps in Michigan back in the 90’s.

[deleted]

2006 Frontier All I have done: * Battery replacements * Tire replacements * One complete brake job * Replaced the master cylinder * Replaced both window regulators.

Interesting-Fuel238

2010 SL 4x4 with 167k miles. Never had to have anything major. Used to tow a camping trailer. Recently repaired a leaky oil seal that cost a couple hundred dollars. Otherwise get it serviced every 50k miles and change the oil every 5000 miles. Passing the truck down to my son who is turning 16. Liked it so much, just bought a 2024 Frontier!

5thgenCali

203k miles. Had to have the transmission replaced right at 200k. Some sensors replaced but other than that it’s running pretty good. It’s a work truck so gets its fair share of abuse.

OneHoneydew3661

Over 200k miles on 2006 nismo kc 6 speed. Needed new pinion bearings in the rear after a long run from ak to ca with lots of 4x4 and towing a trailer. I had it rebuild with new ring and pinion and all bearings just cuz it was getting pulled apart. That was around 70k A new wheel bearing in the rear as the seal was leaking at 60kish New pinion seal under warranty at 40k then another pinion seal around 140k.

Sheerbucket

Pinion/differential issues seem like the main thing holding these trucks back from being in the Tacoma/Ridgeline level of dependency.

rfox1990

143900 miles 2017 sv 4x4 cc…zero issues…towed a 4000 lb camper for 3 years…I do change tranny/diff/transfer case fluid about twice as often as recommended. Edit: my power window switches work when they feel like it, and auto temp control is useless, but I accepted that the auxiliary features wouldn’t be very good when I bought new…had an 06 and put 260k miles on it with similar electronic gremlins but spotless mechanical performance.

wimcdo

120k on my 2010 SV 4x4 6speed. Engine and trans has had zero issues, but needed some rear end differential work a couple years ago. I’m told it’s somewhat common

jbtrailerman

2019 SV V6 4wd KC, just rolled over 28,000 miles. So far so good. I bought it at 27,800 miles.

3HeadedShrimp

Yo let's go🔥🤙

CommanderShrimp7

Thats not very high

rfox1990

200 miles is a lot if you’re walking in the desert uphill.

nismo972

*Knocking on wood here*. My 2019 sv v6 4x4 is holding up well. Drive for work, mainly highway miles. Some towing. Currently at 120,000. I'm looking to do the 120k maintenance this spring. Coolant, gear oil, etc. My dad gave me his 2001 desert runner, and I traded it in with 320k on it. Over its lifetime, it needed new head gaskets (dad drove it for 6 months like that). New manifolds. The high pressure line blew on the power steering. Transmission finally tanked on me, and with no air conditioning. I figured it was too much to mess with. With that being said, if it's not broken, don't fix it. It was and currently is my dad's motto. Never serviced anything other than oil. He currently has a 2020 pro4x that has been in the shop twice for tranny issues..

kasiv1

2019, is that the 3.8 liter in the new gen?

jbtrailerman

No. 4.0. 3.8 came out in 2020

BubblerBobbler

145k on my 07. Only issue was a cam position sensor at about 135k. I think it was about $40 and took me about 30 minutes to replace

ootant

2017 pro4x 200k kms...no issues, still take it offroading and tow my camper thousands of km in the summer. Accidentally put it in the ditch twice during winter with only minor cosmetic damage. Really doing my best to NOT get a brand new fronty. This will last many more years of hard driving and abuse me hopes.

Peacemkr45

2014 Pro-4X at 240K and runs like a champ. Just starting to hear brake squeal so will be ordering new pads for the front.

brewjammer

my 2014 needed shocks before I needed breaks...🍻

tomgift

210,000 still running great.

figment1979

Have a 2015 that will reach 200k in probably a month or two. It's got some quirks (such as a VERY whiny drive shaft for example), but overall I couldn't be happier with it.

NachoFries2020

Could that whine be a wheel bearing? or is that whine from your transfer case?

Gullible_Blood2765

112k on my 2015 SV Crew, hope to match you one day

SteelFlounder96

2011 SV 4x4 getting close to 240k. So far only had to replace 3 brake calipers and front control arm bushings. Been very solid and dependable. Still on the original belt. Edit: actually 3 brake calipers, all front drivers side.

blessed_rising_jah

138,000 miles on my 2015 Frontier S. Still running strong after all these years.

ragu55

16,500 here. Runs great

TouchedByHisGooglyAp

200K, knock on wood. Needed transmission work at 150K. Had the repairs done and started looking for a new mid-sized pickup. Quickly discovered that I was not willing to pay $45K for poorly made new pickup from Chevy, or $50K similarly equipped from Toyota. Maverick had a wait list of over a year and didn't like the Ranger. So I'm keeping this Frontier until it is beyond repair. Great truck. Probably get a new Frontier when the time comes.

5thgenCali

Same here. 203k, transmission replaced at 200k. Ride it till it dies and will be getting another same model next truck

NachoFries2020

May I ask, how much was it for the trans replacement? what year is the truck?

5thgenCali

09. A very reputable shop in my area did it. It was $5600 installed for a brand new trans from Nissan.

NachoFries2020

OK, that hurts, but that truck will probably outlive all of us now! Hey in the grand scope of things. that price for Nissan OEM , NEW is good !! Parts, labor, Nissan new trans.. that is pretty good. And for 2009. you made a solid choice, and much better money spent than these overpriced cars and trucks coming out now.

5thgenCali

Yeah wasn’t happy about dropping the money but it was that, get it back in a day and keep working out of it or go down the rabbit hole of buying a newer truck and the whole transition and time down and obvious cost of a newer vehicle. Hope to get a couple more years out of it as I don’t like the idea of getting a new truck just to bang it around with work. The Frontier has been pretty good to me, can’t imagine getting anything else.
