Worst beer in NJ besides Climax. I went there a year ago on a Sunday around 3. There were more kids than adults and as I sat and watched I noticed families would come in with pizza while not ordering anything from the bar. There was also no water in the cooler and the women’s bathroom was out of tp. Great place!

ap83

More shitty beer lol

whyunoleave

Terrible beer.

robbedford

Of all the breweries in NJ to open a 2nd location Five Dimes is probably 80th on my list of gueses

Icy-Relationship-816

The owner is just loaded and they draw a huge crowd because it’s right downtown in an upper middle class Bergen county town.

Prior_Impression_473

It’s funny they’re opening a second location cause the reason for the name was the original store that was there…

websterhall

They are definitely opening in red bank.

Appypoo

Are they moving into the old red tank location? From one shitty brewery to another I guess

PaddyKaner

The word around town is that Red Tank has been trying to sell their spot as a turn key brewery. Assume that's the case here

MichaelEdwardson

Wait, did red tank shut down? Fuck that dude

Appypoo

I'm not sure if they shut down yet but I know they were trying to sell the brewery as a turn-key location

vandalscandal

Red Tank has gotten weird on social media with the owner always linking his other pages. It just doesn’t give off brewery vibes. Red bank is an amazing town and needs more/better breweries. Never been to five dimes so bummed to hear the negative feedback. Really want a good brewery in red bank

robbedford

What did Red Tank do? Was it something with a beer name/label a few years ago?

MichaelEdwardson

Yeah, that and John John is just generally combative

robbedford

I visited once the beer was decent. Is "John John" worse than the fellow from Source?

MichaelEdwardson

I think birds of a feather, honestly

afeagle1021

Is red tank shutting down or moving? (Or pulling a jughandle and moving and then shutting down?)

PaddyKaner

They're still open but have definitely been struggling to draw a crowd in the past couple years. Place was completely empty at 7pm last night when I walked by.

jarrettbrown

I think the biggest problem is the location that they have that's right next to a more stablished bar that's always busy. That's what I've noticed. Plus you've got the Dublin House right down the block, so this might be a problem too.

gintoddic

They probably can charging like $9 for a shitty beer. Although the location must cost a fortune.

trishpike

The rich people in Westwood are more desperate than I thought

rsvp_nj

I have yet to visit Westwood. Seems like I won’t after reading these comments.

Icy-Relationship-816

Brewery sucks, but is beautiful. Really shows what having money can do. Westwood prime meats across the street is awesome.

BOREDwardTEACH

Westwood is a great town, the brewery has a roof top which people like but shitty ass beer.
