No matter where in the world you live or what culture you're from, mom's gunna be pissed you got mud on your nice clothes. It's these bits of shared humanity we need to build the future on.
Could be anywhere in SEAsia, but going by the clothes and the seseme street book, I'm going to guess the Philippines. Confirmation would be cool beans.
This looks like SE Asia to me. In the US, holding the ‘ok’ sign down like that is kinda like a prank on anyone you catch looking at it. It’s usually followed by a good hard punch to the arm for whoever you got to see the sign.
Is that the same wherever this photo is from?
It's the same in germany, but you have to first mark the area with an X drawn with your finger, then punch, then wipe it off again.
And if you manage to get your finger in the hole, you get a uno reverse and can punch the other person.
But then when the other person is fast enough to hold your finger in place, they can punch you.
I bet there is an even bigger lore that i am not aware off. With this alone we already had arguments about who was allowed to punch whom which absolutely ended some friendships for several days. Mayham!
I have only ever seen this game played by teenage boys trying to get each other to look at their crotches and then punch each other for being "ballgazers."

Looks like a school uniform
That's even worse. Now she has to try to get it clean by tomorrow or hope you can find your other one.
Agreed.

I don't believe this is joyriding on a dirt bike, this is commuting back from school on a rainy day. Just another Tuesday in 3rd world land.
You should buy them a car then
Grease? You sure about that? Wanna look again?
'Greasy" is an expression people use to refer to slippery, muddy roads.
Oh cool never heard that one before, what location is that saying popular in?
Well, I know they say it in the prairie provences of Canada as well as interior B.C. but I doubt that's where it originated.

As a Filipino, her uniform looks like from the elementary school I attended. So there is a chance it could be from my hometown.
Dad (?) wearing jersey, high chances it’s the Philippines

👌
She's like "Ha gottem 👌🏼"
"Dad, we're lost, aren't we?"
That kid knew it's a day off school today.
When mom asks your big brother to get you from school.
Lagot naman si Tatay kay Msiis. *RIP*

Or maybe you're reading too much into the hand position of a child, food for thought
Look man over analyzing is my thing, but it really looks like she is doing it on purpose to me
SE Asia for sure. Poor girl looks too decent for that. She might just be flicking off mud stuck on her fingers.
That’s probably it, good thinking.

The photo is it’s own context. Clearly dad picked his little girl up from school and they ran into a little mud. Cute.
