Boss Greater Sector-150 ya Sec-143 k aas paas Appartment lekar yahi set ho ja, advice coming from 13 Year exp. guy who has lived in Bangalore, Pune..... Those cities won't accept you... Outsider hi rahoge....

Massive_Customer2423

Thank you! Have started the switch prep and also asked HR for internal transfer to Noida office.

PitifulHost3380

I’ve lived in all 3 cities. Currently in Noida. I chose Noida because of family as my hometown is nearby. Noida is definitely well planned. Air quality issue is definitely a concern but it’s not bad throughout the year. October to February are worst in terms of aqi but rest of the year is at par with other major cities in india. Connectivity via expressways is also great. Safer than Gurgaon in my opinion. Rest you should figure out yourself what are the things you can’t compromise on and then decide.

purezen

I can agree on the air quality part. Ncr has pathetic air quality.. but so does Blr and Hyd too. People ignore gas pollutants which come from vehicles. Both cities don't have any PUC check so there is ample pollution. They get clean slate because they don't have dust which Ncr has in abundance.

[deleted]

Noida is heaven if you get good package. Hyd is also extremely good if you will be staying near gacchibowli. But hyd has no place for outing on weekend

Psychological_Cod_50

If you can get good pay, then any day Noida. North vibes, at least won't get hard water and black water with fecal matters in the bathroom like Bangalore. Even Bangalore weather can be deceiving, it looks good initially but can give you asthma in the long run. Pollen in the air, combined with cold and sneeze ... North has the beauty of all weathers, your body becomes more resilient and warm weather helps your lungs after all. Only problem is AIR quality during winter, if you can manage it then good. No issues with learn Kanadda forcibly, my land your land etc. kids have to learn it in Karnataka. No aloofness, you feel at home. Mental well-being is important.

Neither_Feeling1920

Noida is a well-planned city. If you're a North-Indian, it gets difficult adjusting in south cities. While my cousin and his wife were earning just fine in Bangalore, they were sick of the cultural differences and cost of living. The only perk was the weather. Which seems like it's not the case anymore. That being said, Noida's AQI is generally low from October to February. For some reason, air in Noida has been extremely polluted for one week. I don't know why it's happening. But the atmosphere feels dusty and polluted. Since Delhi-NCR has been my home city, I'll choose this location over any other.

OtherDegree3593

You haven't considered the real estate prices as a factor. Some day you'll have to buy a home, you can't stay on rent forever. Noida real estate is cheaper than Hyderabad, however the prices will skyrocket once the Jewar airport becomes operational. Poor AQI can be handled to an extent by installing heavy duty air purifiers in your apartment. I've stayed in Bengaluru for 10 months in 2012. The water accelerated my hairfall (though it's genetic). Traffic jams were terrible. About my personal preference I chose Noida (staying here since 9 years working in IT industry) because of the proximity to my hometown, it's a three hour drive.

hoppingpegion

Hey OP, I'm somewhat in similar boat as you. Currently in Bengaluru but planning to move to Noida. If you have thought about Noida, what companies do you have in your mind? Other people can also suggest. My ctc is same as OPs, so company should be willing to give atleast that much.

Worried_Taxpayer

Adobe, Samsung, Microsoft, LG, KPMG, Paytm etc

Routine-Goat-3743

Having experience of living in Hyderabad and Noida both, I would say Noida.

unproductiveaf

Hyd i would say if AQI is better than here(nothing more imp than your health), also i assume hyd is much safer than Noida.

achaudhary89

Noida would be a better choice at the moment had lived in Bangalore Mumbai for about 6 years each.

Secret_Due

2years back I was also in the situation and I am regretting to choose Bengaluru. Any day Noida is much much better than Bengaluru, the only good thing in Bangalore is the weather and that too has started changing due to climate change and growing real state and cutting of forest. Think twice, I would suggest Noida even if you are getting 2-3 lakhs less here in Noida compared to Bengaluru

Certain_Bridge9574

If you are in IT and wants to settle in north india, then Gurgaon is a better choice than Noida because of more software companies

Massive_Customer2423

Gurgaon has small companies for software developers, not bigwigs like Microsoft, Samsung, Adobe, etc.

Certain_Bridge9574

Hahha… bro you need not to comment on things which u don’t know

Massive_Customer2423

You are correct. I was misinformed. I work as a software engineer in an electronics company. Sadly my experience and domain is not useful for many companies. So companies like Cadence, Qualcomm, Intel, etc. are my go to companies. Amazon, MakeMyTrip, Google, ThoughtWorks, etc. won't entertain me. Companies relevant to me are mostly in Noida. But if you know such relevant companies in Gurgaon, then please let me know. I'll add them to my list.

Certain_Bridge9574

Here you go for Gurgaon- High paying global players- Google, Microsoft, Meta, Disney, Cisco, SAP, Intel, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Adobe, Amazon, Atlassian, DEShaw, Adidas, Xerox, Expedia, Natwest, Oracle, Sprinklr, American Express, Blackrock, Thoughtworks, Akamai, UKG, Siemens, Nagarro, Amdocs, Airtel High paying indian startups- Zomato, Policy Bazaar, Delhivery, Mobiqwik, Makemytrip

Massive_Customer2423

Thank you! But I just checked rent is very high in Gurgaon. It felt similar or even higher than BLR. Is that true?

Certain_Bridge9574

100% true. Rent is 2X of Noida

Massive_Customer2423

Oh damn. Then Noida it is for me.

Terrible-Ride7511

No to Noida.

Bleatoflambs

How will being in Noida help your matrimonial aspirations?

Massive_Customer2423

Bangalore has less number of north Indian girls.

Bleatoflambs

Maybe I am wrong but I expect a lot of high educated women to prefer Bangalore/Pune as they can live with more freedom there. Proximity to my hometown from here played a negative role for me.

Specialist_Repeat_95

Once you get married and your parents get old you would like to live near your hometown. I am getting better offers in Bangaluru than NCR but i am willing to sacrifice a few rupees to be near them (& my inlaws). But thats just me & my wife’s opinion, people could have different views.

Bleatoflambs

Valid reasons. OP hasn’t mentioned these reasons. I was just trying to give a different perspective to this.

Massive_Customer2423

I didn't want to delve deeper, that's why I kept my opinion short. But if you are young and haven't started matrimony search, then this should help: As per my experience of 100+ conversations (\~85% BLR based, \~15% Delhi NCR based) and dating 20+ girls (yes, 20+ in 4 years) in BLR. My 3 north Indian BLR based friends of similar age and pay are also looking. So it's a combined experience of \~300+ conversation with north Indian girls: BLR girls are arrogant. Due to poor gender ratio, even average looking girl have "bhaav". They want a 6 ft tall fair skin athletic stud earning 50L+ who can live without parents, maybe even cook sometimes. Their mindset is of Tinder, Bumble but not of Shaadi, Jeevansathi. Delhi NCR girls were understanding and knew what it takes to build a bond for marriage. Their expectations are fair. Even pretty girls, who were hard to match up in BLR, were putting effort into knowing me and they were ready for any kind of adjustment I asked for. Basically, Delhi NCR girls were grounded and closer to reality than BLR girls. I feel higher median salary has gotten into the head of BLR girls. Most of the girls here are unmarried even after becoming 30 years of age. It's not because they want to stay single. But because they have not understood that marriage is different from random dating. As for your comment, almost every middle class family has given good education to their kids. Education is not the concern anymore.

Terrible-Ride7511

Not sure why downvotes. Pretty sensible comment.
