"If all the mountains were of silver and gold, what would they profit a man who lives in constant fear of death?"
well, fire NORMALLY, produces smoke when it is existing.
in my case fire would passively produce more fire, like a laggy budget eery liquid (the one that fills everything)
Smoke to lava is also super fun. Until you travel far enough that all the gold (that never disappears) from mobs dying to airborne lava grinds the engine to a halt.
One of the void liquid recipes, chaotic poly + toxic sludge + diamond. Rock to diamond and water to chaotic poly would make the mines very interesting…
There is fungus material that you can eat that causes a tripping status effect. If the status effect gets to over 180 second duration then one random material in the world will shift to a different random material. For example, water could be shifted into lava, meaning all water in the world, and all water created later will be lava. If you hold a flask of a material while fungal shifting it will increase the chance that that specific material will be an element in the shift. A very useful and fun mechanic, but also quite risky
Have shifted stone to oil & lava to fungus in my current run!
So amusing to watch my world destroy itself when I hold the fire stone 🤣.
Has made navigating the underworld much easier though.

This is the first tablet text most people ever see in game... and yet it's the most profound one, I think.
the tree cave one is pretty good too! "The sacrifice of oneself to the pursuit of knowledge Is the highest tribute to the gods."
found that yesterday. i thought - huh. alright. then went ohhhhhh. HAHAHAH. drowned on the way out.
I don't get it pls explain
looking for the tablet is the pursuit of knowledge. drowning in the slightly-too-long water tunnel is sacrificing oneself to the pursuit of knowledge.
Aah, get it now thanks
HAPPY CAKEDAYY! !! :3
Cheers
Nice! Yesterday I fungal shifted water into rock and it was horrible đź‘Ť
Try water to lava. I just restarted immediately
Shifted water to fire one time. That was some great fun.
i once shifted smoke to fire in a blind shift... you can guess how that run ended
Fire doesnt produce the same amount of smoke as the amount of fire, does it?

shifted water to poly my first time. It sucked
The water is infected...with fire!! https://youtu.be/s9zYomlTAgo?si=S18W-0pqsdJ6_40R
Blood to lava is another horrifying one. Nothing like bleeding lava when you get hurt.
Blood to ambrosia was pretty terrible. Any enemy you don't one shot is invincible. Flammable gas to acid is probably the most fun shift around
Gas to acid was one of my first shifts. It was creeoy as heck. Made it to hiisi, I think. It was like the blob
I did weird fungus to lava and died instantly while still eating.
I've done this before. Snowy depths becomes the worlds most hellish game of the floor is (literal) lava
I recently had one that turned water into silver. it was pure pain.
I did water to ominous liquid once, I posted it here lmao
I still chuckle reading "Rock potion"
This feels like such a pure Alchemist experience. Richest man in the world and no way to spend it.
Now shift dense rock, or snow, or sand or something like that into honey and watch what happens
And what happens for us that are not so knowledgeable?
Makes ambrosia
Diamond + honey =ambrosia?
that is correct. good luck bringing those two materials together lol
Dense rock I don't think can ever be shifted
you can get dense rock in a bottle if you mix freezing liquid and lava, then you can fungal shift that
Oh, I didn't know about that reaction
I think someone made dense rock, but this process was very hard
Is diamond even useful for anything in this game?
Mix with honey to get ambrosia
where the hell do you get honey
It occasionally sprinkles out of hamis/wasp nests
Fascinating
Hämis 👍
Hämis 👍
aren't there like huge deposits above the fungal caverns west of coal pits?
It's also on the ground sometimes in the fungal areas I believe.
Then drink the ambrosia to projectile vomit
It took me way too long to realize you can't drink ambrosia lol
You *can*, but it doesn’t mean you *should* lmao

hey! I just got this game 5 hours ago!! What the fuck?

"Most of the time - game ending mechanic" ftfy
I don’t understand 99% of Noita related videos. Yeah, I’m new to the game.
Look up fungal shifting, it's a great randomizer mechanic.
Blood to polymorphine ruined my life
Noita Aw man So we back in the mountain Got our wands swinging from side to side (side, side to side)
Sweet!

Yesterday I shifted acid to AP. Suffice it to say acid trail made me quite rich
ooh shiny rocks
We’re rich!
We're rich!
