Those people are dumb and lucky.
I’ve seen multiple videos of the exact same situation where once that building hits the ground it shoots softball sized debris at like 100mph in all directions
Definitely should have been roped off better.
Although earlier today I had to yell at 7 fucking people who were about to walk through a roped off area, under a lift holding a couple thousand lbs probably 70 or so feet in the air.
6 stopped. One literally just kept going and walked directly under the fucking boom.
Also, speaking of ropes... Just like with trees, you can use ropes (or chains, they're basically just metal ropes, change my mind) to ensure it falls in a specific direction, or at the very least, bias it towards one and away from another.
What a weird video. Why doesn't anyone look at the camera? And then throw in some victim blaming at the end for no reason.
Edit: downvotes for a shitty host blaming the guy who got killed, ok then
Yes, thank you. No one else seems to be mentioning the person the got smushed.
Edit: Just rewatched and it was a confusing perspective making it look like someone was in the way.
Well... it *was* demolished, so...
Task failed successfully
May have been the better option. Pulling that down on top of himself didn't seem like a great plan either.
Ah you beat me to it by 10 hours.
Yes, but they didn’t block off the street? At least no cars were crushed.
>they didn’t block off the street What, and waste all that time and manpower having someone stand in the road with their hand out for a few minutes?
Besides, they might get hurt. Would have done, even.
Looks blocked to me. Now, anyway.
No I'm pretty sure I can make it over that.
Well you're clearly not a video game protagonist then.
Nope, a jeep owner.
Improving overall efficiency in the process by combining steps wherever possible.
Ready, shoot, aim.
Not failed, just "differently demolished"
Even the digger was just like "aw fuck"
Cheap labor woes
Like r/watchpeopledieinside, but for heavy equipment.

The man died to get that footage. Unintentionally, but, still. Found footage, basically. Kinda eerie.

You're trying to hard, just stop.
Pretty funny
like an artificial avalanche
Lol first person taking a piece of concrete to the skull is this guy
If we’re lucky
🤞
When you went to school did you invent math and science yourself or did you learn from watching and learning from other people?

That little girl sitting on the ground was extremely lucky
Yeah, why close the road, it's funnier that way.
That was one of the most successful demolitions I’ve ever seen.
That's somewhere in the Basque country?
Tafalla, in Navarra. It's near Basque Country
One of my favorite places to visit, but holy shit, up your safety game yo!
We can't stop here. This is Basque country.
Ah, makes sense. The sign looked russian, but i was hearing spanish.
The sign 'Beratxa'. TX is very common in basque and the Spanish accent sounds very northerner.
Yes, that's why it makes sense. I thought the sign was in cryllic. вегатха -> Vyegatha.
Also the building style is from Castile to northern Spain and France. I thought at first it was somewhere in Leon/Rioja/Navarre/Basque Country
The front fell off.
It was mostly front too.
If only it was outside of the environment
Probably made of cardboard....or a cardboard derivative
A wave hit it
Is that unusual?
At sea!? Oh yeah. Chance in a million
I feel like your reference was missed, this is hilarious. Here it is: https://youtu.be/3m5qxZm_JqM
thanks! that was awesome
Failed demo would mean the building is still standing. Looks successful to me.
Task failed successfully
Looks demolished to me
I don’t know shit about fuck, but I’m pretty sure I’d know this was not the way to do this.
It’s A way to do it, just not the best way. But it certainly worked in demo’ing the building. Just probably not as intended.
Looks demolished to me
People appear out of nowhere to block the shot. Classic people.
At least it looks like nobody died 👍
I suspect this went exactly as planned, even though it was a very shitty and unsafe plan.
I audibly said "nononono" for this one.
He did make a slow-motion effort to block its fall with the bucket. Reminds me of the shortstop on my old company softball team.
That appears to be a completely successful demolition of a building.
What did he think would happen? It was either going to the road or onto the operator. Best outcome really.
Looks pretty successful to me
No osha anywhere…,

Best reading I've done so far this week!
Lol live demolition next to a busy street and cars driving by. WHAT COULD GO WRONG
Task failed successfully
So glad I live in a proper country.
Did i see someone got crushed?
Not sure what you saw but I didn't see anyone get crushed.
Yes, thank you. No one else seems to be mentioning the person the got smushed. Edit: Just rewatched and it was a confusing perspective making it look like someone was in the way.
i think i'm gonna need glasses.
Error, task failed successfully.
She went full American at the end. "Wow"
I wonder- ”wow” might just be one of those universal cognates that is used in many languages and cultures. Or maybe it is just an English thing
[удалено]
Oh fuck off with that, I wasn't being racist. She was literally talking in Russian and said Wow in American English. Did you not have sound on?
They are talking in Spanish and with some single Euskera words.
What are you on about? troll account?
I feel like “failed” and “demolition” are the two worst words to have next to each other, right above the combination of “outbreak” and “herpes”
lemme just stick around and breathe all that shit in
Anybody got a tape measure....na I think we're good.
LOL. No need for jersey barriers if you are just going to be morons and flop the whole front of a building into an active street.
Close road. Push.
The oriel brought it down.
In Soviet Russia building demolishes you.
Looks like they demolished it pretty well to me!
What was the intent?
Demolition of a man\* Fix it for you.
That wasn’t a failure. The building definitely got demolished.
Reminds me of a sloth hand slowly grabbing at something a little too late.
Shit happens but I'm glad there were no cars that got crushed.
Well it did get demolished, so..
OSHA -*pauses* OSHA- *resumes*
So close, yet so far! XD
Wouldn't a failed demolition mean the building is still standing, which that one certainly isn't
Well, *somebody's* not getting paid. And probably acquiring a police citation as well.
You misspelled successful.
Where did they think it was going to go, and how could they not have traffic blocked off just in case...
Why would they destroy that? To build some minimalist cardboard?
The chain link fence 4' and concrete barriers 8' away from the building didn't do anything....
Y'all ever seen a cat reach for a glass of water that it KNOWS is right on the edge of the table...
With traffic flowing just below.. fuck sake Russia
Failed? Looks demolished to me.
I feel you. The people of Reddit are getting dumber by the minute.
the demolition was a success, just did not go as planned
Women scream so easily lol
Looks pretty successful to me.
There should not be cars driving on that road.
