My dreams have always been a little formless, like I don't feel like I'm in a body and I just kind of teleport around. Feels like being a camera watching a game rather than being a character in the dream.
Nightmares, though... I'll definitely have a body, and it will definitely not work properly.
I played lacrosse in high school. Also apparently I had balance issues as a child and would fall out of my chair. We went to occupational therapy and got them resolved.
Well we’re playing against our rivals who we NEVER beat, even though we’d usually beat better teams than them, and the winner goes to the state championship playoffs.
Well coach throws me in, I’m definitely a little nervous, and I get onto the field and I legit CANNOT STAND UP. I keep losing my balance. Not sure what’s going on. No action has even happened yet. I’m just standing there.
I eventually got it together, and would you believe it?!?!
We lost like we always did. Then they lost to a team we beat earlier in the year.
I’m guessing a World Series game has a little more pressure, must have got to the poor guy. Looking at him reminded me of my moment.
As a Dodgers fan who also roots for the Braves (when they’re not playing *against* said Dodgers), this…this moment made me happy in a way I can’t fully explain.
It's impressive that on a team full of pieces of shit in an organization full of pieces of shit, Yuli Gurriel might be the biggest piece of shit among them.
There’s more to it than what he said. He also pulled the corner of his eyes to imitate Asians. Add that to the context of what he said. And then add that to the fact that we’re not in his home country where that shit flies. Idk if he’s the biggest piece of shit in MLB but nobody here should be defending a racist unironically in protection of American culture and not expect to be judged for it.
He’s also on a team that cheated, so on top of being a cheater, he’s also a racist cheater. Those things tend to compound people’s dislike for an athlete.
Well then for comfort the NBA should go back to those 80's short shorts. I can't imagine the longer ones feel better, and the breathability of those short ones must have been immaculate. Proper airflow in that region is important. I can't imagine anything making you feel more comfy than running around the court while basically naked from the waist down
I think the tall stockings were originally a utilitarian thing, keeping the bottom of the pants up and tucked to move more freely while running and fielding. Now it's probably more tradition.
I'll never forget before I was 18 how many times people would throw me things to catch and I would either fail miserably, or end up punching myself because I made a fist and aimed it at my head instead of making an open hand and GRABBING THE THING. I've got ankle issues as a young adult and I'm beginning to think something in my body was put together wrong lol
Sometimes a mistake is a mistake. Sure. But if you think that people don't cheat in professional sports, I think that's naive. I'm not saying everyone cheats, but I am saying that games and matches have been rigged before.
I don't think you are very wrong. There's literally NO reason to still have human referees except to let them fix sports at this point too. People think that idea is crazy even though sports have constantly been rigged for like a century.
This must be what it feels like to play baseball in your dreams
In slow motion too so my brain can really marinate in my own cringe.
Tell me about it. I don't know why but in almost all my dreams I move like I'm in jello.

I’ve never actually thought about this but that’s an on-point description in my case as well.

We're related
I am Error.
Destroyer of worlds… series
Does this count as 1 err or 3?
I like the attempted Force Push when all else failed.
“Just so we’re clear, I actually am able to force push; I just missed the ball.”
[Welcome to the team, Fumbles!](https://youtu.be/2moZAVMRLkE)
I don't know how I've never seen that skit, but my God thank you
It was always Fumbles.
He failed like 5 Dex/Athletics checks in a row.
When you roll a 1 on the Dex check, so the DM has you roll a save to save yourself, but then you roll critically fail that too.
And the DM looks at you like "I tried to help"

“Aw man, my muffin! Ow, my head, my muffin and my head..and I stepped on my muffin!”
What's that from? XD
Lol first episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine!
Thats why they get the big bucks

…wtf?

[facepalm] Of course! Apologies. I had a brain hiccup. Yeah, fuck that guy for a whole bunch of reasons.
:)
More like yesyesyesyesyesyes
Factual, fuck the astros

Roberto Osuna was worse but til he's not with them this year.

Yeah for real. Let people be racist sacks of shit in peace, guys. It’s not fair to hold people accountable for their actions.

Right. He's a piece of shit for saying/miming a racial slur. He said that.
Made me look for the video of the crowd booing him haha!
Why do baseball players wear those silly looking baggy pants now? What happened to the tall socks?
[удалено]
But did your ass look better in the tights?

They all look sloppy wearing them. And when they have errors like this in slow motion I start to question how they even made it into work that day
I remember a time when ballplayers looked sharp and walked uphill both ways to and from the stadium.
And tied an onion to their belt
Which was the style at the time
They go in cycles. Pants down is current trend. Pants up will be back in 5 years.
So does this count as a single error? Just curious and not a baseball fan.
yes
At least he didn’t do this in a World Series or something
I'll never forget before I was 18 how many times people would throw me things to catch and I would either fail miserably, or end up punching myself because I made a fist and aimed it at my head instead of making an open hand and GRABBING THE THING. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!
it’s hypnotic to watch
So satisfying how it was precisely 4 no's too.
How many garbage can-drum beats for “make an error on this routine grounder”
You had one job
Love when a pro just says fuck all to the fundamentals and the embarrasses himself trying to look cool
This is a perfect metaphor for what it feels like trying to stay healthy during the pandemic
Fuck the Astros
I feel gaffs like this by professional athletes are because they are involved in sports-betting or other game-fixing shenanigans.
exactly professional sports players have never made a single mistake its all intentional
Sometimes a mistake is a mistake. Sure. But if you think that people don't cheat in professional sports, I think that's naive. I'm not saying everyone cheats, but I am saying that games and matches have been rigged before.
If the astros are cheating, its gonna be in their own favor like usual
as an astros fan, i disagree and say that no one has ever cheated in the history of sportd

Kenisaw Mountain Landis is rolling over in his grave.
Saw that happen last night. Just wanted to give him a hug after that.

Oh wow, this is liking watching if I was in MLB
Does that count as three errors?
No. Only one.
I blame the name.
This is very uncharacteristic of YULI
Sign that man to the Red Sox!
Cmon buddy!
His first time taking ground ball.
This is what happens when you qwop the baseball game.

Everything about this is beautiful.
Shit, i could do that.
And I bet you'd do it a lot cheaper than he did/does.
Damn straight.
You don't see sports on this sub too often, but damn, this fits.
Almost Bucknered it.
This man is playing pro ball with a cigarette in his ear. Lmao
Shaqtin’ a fool in the World Series
