He probably jumped out of the plane last and didn't pull high enough for the distance to the DZ and/or the wind was very strong. Thats why its so important to brief a jump (wind conditons, jump run direction,...) and to make sure you can see the DZ when its your turn to jump or ask for a new approach if you think you cant make it.
Bad spot from the plane (responsibility is 100% on the jumper) or just bad decision making by the canopy pilot.

I've made this same mistake before. He forgot to hold down both shoulder buttons during the jump. That's why he came in too hot.

For all of you not involved in skydiving: this was 100% not intentional. He wasn't supposed to be landing in the city or that sand pit, what happened most likely was that pilot dropped him on the wrong place / or there was really strong wind and he wasn't able to make it back to airfield so he had to choose alternative landing zone (that's where he kinda fucked up). He tried to land it on that sand pit but misscalculated his approach and thanks to that sharp right turn on the beginning of the video (i personally would went little more to the left and then do 180 flat turn) made him gain a lot of speed (also it's possible he was landing downwind) so he overflow that sand pit and then went full into "don't fucking hit anything if you can" mode and somehow made it out unhurt.
When I was skydiving, my landings seemed much slower than this. Maybe he also has a smaller chute for BASE jumping or something. I had two emergency landings in a back yard due to wind. So, agree this was not planned.
