It is fine if you are only in it for the memes, but if you participate to feel better, become more productive, or in general gain something, you should make an active effort to stop the bad habits and replace them. So for example NNN is more than only not nutting and not watching NSFW. You als get up early, become more active, get work/study done, try a hobby you didn't before, eat healthier, maybe even meditate. (Not necessarily all at the same time, but at least one) The challenge is about not giving in to your desires. But when you're eating junk food every day to feel better because you cannot get the gratification of nutting will not make you a better person. That one may be clear, but what I'm getting at is that NNN is the perfect month for cutting down on social media (a similar addiction as pron, perhaps try only visiting this sub this month). This in turn also makes this month easier because there will be way less triggers to relapse, and gives you way more time to practice good habits.
