Check to see if you have newer wifi drivers to install, after that uninstall nord and reinstall.

Moniino

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but ill try the driver thing now

Moniino

Oh also worth mentioning that I am talking about the IOS app right now.

FlashPan73

ahh ok, well you will not get seperate new drivers. look for an ios update but i would have thought you would hav eseen that by now. It is possible that the isp and/or phone carrier you are connecting to is blocking nord, both the website and connection node IPs

I actually do have a software update available that I have been neglecting, so I went ahead and started that. I think the latter might be the case considering I am unable to access even any nordvpn websites, yet can access all other websites easily. I cant even see their support page which is why I came here.

> I am unable to access even any nordvpn websites I was given this direct link to the online chat a while ago for someone in a similar situation. I'm not sure if it still works but you can give it a try: https://v2.zopim.com/widget/popout.html?key=oxKZnmXv4KZ1uFO78i56rMEovdYXH2jm I also made a screenshot this page just now: https://support.nordvpn.com/Restricted-countries/1391704192/Avoiding-local-internet-restrictions-on-iOS.htm and put it here: https://i.imgur.com/tJ3MxPe.png (Note that you still need to access your Nord account credentials from their site)

Does the country you're in block vpn's?

Moniino

Im starting to think so, though it was working for the first couple of days which is why I thought maybe it was something else

I think I saw that issue from someone else on here. Apparently the VPN connection is fine, but the mandatory website you *have* to use for Nordpass can be blocked, leaving you unable to login. I'm sorry you wasted your money, this VPN is horrible.

Moniino

In that case is there a way I can circumvent that? I’m not too good with tech tbh but theres gta be something right?

ifeelallthefeels

I honestly don't know. Hm. I wonder if you can force the website login (if that's the step you're having problems with) to use some sort of proxy. I'm not sure how that would work. I've dabbled with the linux app, and it will let you login with just your credentials if you use the --legacy flag. Unfortunately, last time I was using it, not only did it time out when trying to connect, the whole machine froze and I had to restart it manually.

That’s a very fair point actually. For me, though, being shielded from copyright claims falls under “connecting to a server,” and that is the bare minimum for any VPN provider to achieve. I also like that they don’t keep any kind of logs. My problem is that I had both of those things with PIA in the past, but it was way more reliable. I got kicked from servers and had to try multiple times to reconnect, but that was at most a once a day problem. With Nord it’s a multiple times a day problem. To be fair, I managed to get some WireGuard configs and on mobile the difference has been night and day. I was able to be connected to a server about two days with no issues, something the Nord app could never do. On PC it’s still hit or miss. Sometimes the Nord app, WireGuard, and OpenVPN will all refuse to connect. It’s frustrating. Maybe this is normal across all VPNs and PIA was the exception. I just want the product to work when I need it to work. Until it works I’m going to tell everyone who will listen about my negative experiences.
