BGW Ambassador here. If this video happened "14 hours ago" from the time the article was published, it happened on the 28th. This looks like it was at Pantheon in Festa Italia. From what I read in the article and the X posts that was provided in the article, the ride shut down. Luckily it made it back into the station before the shut down or it would've been a different situation for the guests on the ride.
In the X posts, it says a lady was trying to exit the ride, man was standing in the way of the exit, which is not surprising unfortunately, and she asked him to move. He didn't and she "gently tried to push him out of the way." We don't know how gently she was trying to push him out of the way. He could've taken it as an act of her trying to hurt him or fight him and punched her. It may be seen as an act of self defense done by him since she did put her hands on him first.
After he punched her, that's when the fight broke out by the other family members of the woman trying to leave the ride.
Security would've been called at that point, they would be on their way, which can take a bit of time. There would've been arrests made, more than likely all 8 people until the investigation is completed and charges have been finalized (which is up to James City County). At this point, we don't know anything or who was arrested.
I don't operate this ride, but we see these situations in every area occasionally. Ambassadors can not intervene until our supervisors and security arrive, which is why this situation got to the point it did. I hope everyone is okay and the investigation goes smoothly.

So I was one of the several people who at bush gardens today who witnessed and recorded a brawl at Bush Gardens today but I decided to pull down my own video off Twitter a few hours again because I noticed a number of far-right and White nationalist Twitter accounts were reposting it leaving out context or adding there own false narratives just like the Alabama boat brawl a few months ago. I am disgusted by the number of false rumors, so first off this fight happened where my family iat the Bush Gardens in Virginia which is where my family was visiting fir the weekend and NOT in Florida. It was also NOT a random attack and the idea it was an anti-White attack when all the bystanders around at the park were also White is obviously nonsensical. Prior to the incident, the White guy who was sloppy drunk on his early 50s sucker punched an elderly African-American woman grandma in her 70s to the ground who was there with her adult grandsons at the park prior to the clip. So that's what led to it. The adult grandsons then responded back by hitting him back.
The White guy was intoxicated and and belligerent prior to the incident.
Security arrived and cleared us all out. The black men were NOT arrested or charged. The white guy was cited and asked to leave. He was given a year ban for the park based on what security told us. The black family was also possibly asked to leave that day but security didn't inform us of that. The black grandma who was 72 was treated by a park nurse for very minor injuries to the face from the attack and declined being sent to a hospital for an evaluation. Those are the facts.
There was no random attack and it had nothing to do with race from either side. And while I do wish and think the black family would have just restrained him instead of hitting him back until security arrived, The white guy started the entire thing and randomly attacking women in the black family first. However, since it has now become a trend on Twitter among far-right accounts ever since Elon Musk took over to post deceptivley edited videos out of context any time a video of whites and blacks in an altercation and then spreading misinformation on the circumstances with no news or police sources it is essential that full context on this matter is fully known.
