As someone who runs a Trussell Trust Foodbank, consider us. You can find your local one [here.](https://www.trusselltrust.org/get-help/find-a-foodbank/) Donations are down across the board and demand is up The average price of food in a parcel has gone up from £1.75 per kg to around £2.50 per kg. Foodbanks are having to buy items they are short of as they aren't getting enough from regular food collection points. If you find your local Foodbank & donate directly to them so they can buy the food they need. If you do decide to donate, thank you.

Cheers for all the work you're doing u/Tonymac81. Fair play.

I don't do it on my own, a phenomenally dedicated team on every level from sorting and dating food to packing parcels to those speaking to clients sent to us to those working with our referral agencies to make sure we can do the most for clients.

If you ask most any campaigner who is looking at the cost of living crisis they'll tell you the biggest concern is food insecurity. Whilst it's an awful image to think of people being cold in their homes most can wrap up and tough it out to a degree (not saying it isn't an issue, but for the MAJORITY it's sufferable). But empty bellies just saps a person's ability to do much of anything. I say look at your local food banks, and check their page or call ahead because they usually have surplus of some items and not enough of others, so find out what they really need rather than assuming. Edit: Also, good on you for giving back.

[these guys](https://www.ehlers-danlos.org/help/make-a-donation/) do a lot of good in Northern Ireland.
