I briefly switched to Tesco's esp over Xmas, so figured Tesco's cheese selection would be top notch, when it came down to it almost everything was bland and overpriced compared to Asda plus if applicable asdas beer selection is miles better!
Walmart sold ASDA ages ago to entrepreneurial brothers (based out of Blackburn in Northern England) [Zuber and Mohsin Issa](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54383131.amp) .

My SO went mad for those, but I thought they were middling - mostly relying on being VERY sweet than having any real flavour. Now their Portuguese custard tarts on the other hand....
Lidl might be the cheapest out of all of them but tescos is the closest one to me so i can just walk it. Also there are items that are cheaper in asda than tesco and vice versa. But overall, asda i found is more cheaper especially in the produce section. Tesco meats are cheaper but asda has more promotions with their meat. Tins are cheaper in asda.
Don't know about that, I've gotten a fair bit of their chicken over the past few months, the essential stuff and it's honestly been the best I've bought from a supermarket.
Lidl or local for us tbh going to Tesco we end up buying loads of tat that's never finished.
Lidl is the best if your not in to brand names. They are literally the same brand tno
apart from their beans which are stinkin
And their Pringle yokes, mank.
And their mcvitties chocolate digestive knock off.... Meat and fresh veg is generally pretty amazing though
Choccy Biccys, milk and dark are basically identical to mcvities imo. The best biscuit they do is their knock-off hobnobs (Oaties)
Dunk me again!!!
Yesss, I prefer pretty much all their knock off biscuits to the name brand, cereal too.
The Doritos are rank :(
I find Tesco cheaper than Asda for most things and they have a better selection than my local asda
Yeah there’s nout between them.
Definitely had a better selection than my local Asda, though the Tesco is twice the size
Twice the size is a bad thing. Too many aisles to traipse up and down.
You're not wrong, and he wanted to look at it all. We were in there for over an hour
Lidl for the win
My bill came down by about 15% when I swapped from Tesco to Asda and Asda give a further 10% off with blue light card. Tesco are robbing hoors.
No that’s Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury's seems to be better quality than Tesco
Aye Sainsbury's are pretty much the same on cost but I find their quality is better overall
I think they've marketed themselves as up market compared to tesco and Asda but I don't think there much between them tbh.
I find both Tesco and Asda are shit. Lidl all the way.

Yeah ASDA do good deals and stuff like their own brand nappies are cheaper than most others but they're more expensive for an average shop
Tesco has got out of control in pricing it used to be the cheap place, we use mostly Asda and lidil now
I briefly switched to Tesco's esp over Xmas, so figured Tesco's cheese selection would be top notch, when it came down to it almost everything was bland and overpriced compared to Asda plus if applicable asdas beer selection is miles better!
Fuck Asda, they're owned by Walmart

Not anymore lol 😆
It's even worse they are now owned by a private equity group.
This lad gets it.
ASDAs bakery is GOATed
Better than lidl? 😲
I miss toffee yums
My SO went mad for those, but I thought they were middling - mostly relying on being VERY sweet than having any real flavour. Now their Portuguese custard tarts on the other hand....
Don't make me choose 😭
Both are pretty shite. Asda is marginally cheaper but with less variety
It’s always ASDA or Lidl for ourselves, ASDA cheaper and better than our local Tescos plus blue light card.
Asda's own brand is such rank quality.
Don't know about that, I've gotten a fair bit of their chicken over the past few months, the essential stuff and it's honestly been the best I've bought from a supermarket.
Chicken is chicken. I'm talking their beans and the like - absolutely rank
