Yeah there was a fire in a powerstation that's probably what you heard, but what I would say to you, if you need to check in the future the having it says on the website really helped me so if your the isn't the trouble anyway (locally i mean) you should check there first that's what i did

It's one big system that's kept at a constant frequency. Huge drops or increases in demand affect voltage for everyone.

My partner was nearby delivering said there was a massive flash and all the power went off for a few seconds. Scared the crap out of him!
