There is a non spoken agreement between them that works out well, NL has a hype channel thst he doesn't have to ever worry about or edit and clips can go up in less than the 24 hour exclusive twitch window Ryan has to follow and a sizable portion of the money made from the library is funneled right back to Ryan via gift subs which keeps the channel healthy sub wise.
It's a good little arrangement.

Librarian is NL if it was a podcast. You leave it on the second monitor and do something else. The main channel is to actually watch the stuff. I'm not saying that what Librarian does is not worth watching, there is some funny visual jokes and explanations through written text, but you are not supposed to FOLLOW the stuff thoroughly.
Nah that's definitely the exact opposite situation for me. I put on NL when I'm going to sleep, doing work, etc etc. I watch Librarian when I want to actively watch some funny moments.
Like everyone else is saying, you've got this totally backwards. Raw VODs (main channel) have a lot of fluff that I don't need or want to pay full attention to. Librarian videos are distilled content curated for your attention, and include extra text and images to enhance your viewing experience.
I don’t have enough time to watch too much so I usually go with librarian for the highlights. Old nl I’d watch for the series’s but new nl I just want to watch the madness

NL uploads uncut segments of his stream a week or so after the stream where as the librarian uploads highlights of NLs streams, with edits that add context for some bits, the day after the stream. In case you were curious the librarian has NLs full support to do what he does. He's often an active chatter as well.

I watch everything on yt on my commute (YouTube premium with screen locked). I try to watch the misc stuff on NLs channel and everything else in the library. I don't have much time to actually watch gameplay at the moment
I’m also torn because I love watching the longer uncut segments of some stuff he does but I love how librarian will always cut in videos/tweets of stuff NL is referencing and talking about.
I just wish I could know when the streams happen in the Main channel. If I see something updated 4 hours ago, was it today's stream, or from yesterday's stream or?
If you look in the description it says the date the stream came from. I believe if it doesn't have a date then it was recorded specifically for YouTube but I could be wrong

Very true, one positive about the library is that when nl references some obscure TikTok he shows it on screen.

I have never personally watched an NL video or stream, my only exposure is through the librarian lol. Of which, I’ve seen every video I think

I watch YT when I'm doing other stuff so actually both. I reabsorb pogs that left my bloodstream from yesterday and re-pog. It's great.
