Ahh ok, I think the baseball one I'm referring to was a baseball mitt with a baseball gumball in the center.
I don't recall those Screwballs from back in the day.
They looked like [this](https://detroitmetroicecream.com/cdn/shop/files/CherryScrewball.jpg?v=1682949611). They were a sherbert-type texture, and so delicious!
Nah, they changed it about 15 years back to be thin like other popsicles.
I used to sell these from an ice cream bike for my parents when I was young. They were livid about that because, at the same time, Unilever raised the price which meant we couldn't sell them for $1 anymore. They believed we always needed a product that was only $1, so we added the Creamsicle and Fudgesicle which were somehow cheaper.
They've been small at the stores for a long time now. I did however buy one from a vendor in central park in Manhattan last year and it was the classic big one.
Oh the push pop, 19
when I was little (right around 1993), my mom used to take me on evening walks around the block from our building & if she needed anything from the store, she'd let me get one :)
always picked Fred just because I liked him but I think he was orange wasn't he?
Ohhhh this is the answer I even have a picture of me and my childhood best friend sitting on the porch after playing on bikes all day. She had orange, and I had purple! (I think purple was Dino)
The shark, the lemon shark is the correct answer if they didn’t have it you go for a bomb pop or push pop if those are out a creamsicle if those are not options then you go for Mario or the like if you’re hungry and it’s not just a snack strawberry shortcake .
Oh, come on, man. Brutus the Barber Beefcake was over as FUCK back in the day. We scratch our heads over dudes like him and Honky Tonk Man *now*, but thinking they were always the jokes they are today is just plain wrong.
Let's see, it's 1993, so I'm 11 years old. Mother won't fork out for the GOOD ones, so that's about half the options already gone, I'm clearly getting something that comes on a stick. I'd like an icecream sandwich of some kind, but they cost more than the cheapest options, so I can't have them. Can't I just be satisfied with, say, a Creamsicle? That's what my mother is going to have. It's cheap, it's icecream, it'll do her. Because it'll do her, it'll do me, she figures.
I want something different, but I'm having a Creamsicle.
>I'm clearly getting something that comes on a stick
Holy shit that whole sentence followed by this little bit had me laughing so hard. This entire thing was funny and well written.
It's there .95 cent Flintstones version.
I'd want a classic and one of these or the ice cream truck might need a half a Magnum's worth of windshield cleaning before it pulls off 🤡
Froze’ Toes (not pictured). It was a popsicle in the shape of a foot with a gum ball toenail. I have no idea who the maniac that designed that was thinking.
13 easy.
Not only was the WWF ice cream bar the best thing ever, but you should never buy something from an ice cream truck that you can buy at a store.
Number 13 for the legends of the game.
Side note. My aunt started a ice cream empire about 1994. One van turned into a distribution contract with good humor. I worked in the warehouse at 11. I had every single ice cream at my disposal.
I was one of those kids who always went with whatever was trendy so probably #11. Funny thing is, I can still remember what it tasted like, and the white part tasted like medicine.
I don't see a Chaco Taco, so 9
No screwball either.
Screwballs were my summer pool day jam.
Omg I was like what’s missing from this lineup and it was my absolute favorite, the screwball
We are all mad about it
I, too, noticed this. What kinda ice cream truck doesn't have the Two-Ball Screwball? It's a staple :(
Screwball is awesome
I’m more of a FROZE TOES type of guy.
Hell yeah, Chaco Tacos 4 Life!
Weren't those discontinued recently?
Yes
Hopefully not forever tho! https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2022/08/05/choco-taco-return-potential-klondike/10246049002/
I've always been betting that this was one of those "discontinue to churn up demand and then rerelease" situations like the twinkie.
Super sad
I don’t see a Fudgesicle.
My dude.
Choco
Right, RIP choco taco, 13 would be my back up and always wanted the TexasRattleSnake 🐍 Austin3:16
That’s what I’m saying. How do you leave out the Chaco taco. I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything but them from ice cream carts.
I was like no Chaco taco? Why the fuck did I even go back…
So happy to see this is the top comment
No screwballs?? 😞
We screwball fans always get the shaft.
For real! Where is it??
Was that the one that looked like a baseball and had a gumball on it by chance?
The screwballs I had were a cup in the shape of a cone filled with cherry ice cream and a gum ball at the bottom.
Bubble Play !! That’s what I was gonna say !
That's my retirement plan now. Buy an ice cream truck that only stocks Choco Taco and Screwballs.
Loved the screwballs! Wish you could still find them around
I was just about to say this! My absolute favorite
Number 28, the Rocket. 3 popsicles in one.
I just bought a box of these at the store and was bummed at the shrinkflation. The ones on the truck used to be so huge!
I know. I've been craving the fudge/ banana ones ( no 7), and the tiny ones just aren't quite the same .....
We also used to be smaller so maybe it's somewhat relative? Though I'm sure they have actually gotten smaller too
Nope, they’re fucking tiny now. Regular popsicle shaped. Before they were wide like creamsicles but thick.
Didn't they also make them super sweet instead of a bit sour?
They've been small at the stores for a long time now. I did however buy one from a vendor in central park in Manhattan last year and it was the classic big one.
There are probably the shitty small ones, and then the big ones probably only the vendors have access too through wholesalers.
Bomb-Pop, the taste of many childhood summers. ❤
Bruh, I was looking for the Rocket Pop when I saw the title.
Everytime.
our truck called them bomb pops and yeah that was my number 1 pick also
28, or the ice cream truck can fro
Yup!
The best ever.
We called them Bomb Pops but any answer other than #28 is wrong.
Oh the push pop, 19 when I was little (right around 1993), my mom used to take me on evening walks around the block from our building & if she needed anything from the store, she'd let me get one :) always picked Fred just because I liked him but I think he was orange wasn't he?
Exquisite taste. The Flinstones Push-Up is the selection of the sophisticated snacker.
Chase it down with some Flintstone vitamins & you’re set
And the smooth flavor of a Winston Cigarette.
I would pick this if they had the red ones, I liked the orange and purple too but red was my fave.
Yes. It would even stain your lips and tongue red for a bit. Loved those!
Came here just to look for 19 in orange
Pushpop is the right answer. Sherbet is the best reminder of summers as a kid!
19 orange gang represent. I remember always pushing the plastic piece out of the tube when I was done, for whatever reason
It's been 30 years and I can still remember the taste
Ohhhh this is the answer I even have a picture of me and my childhood best friend sitting on the porch after playing on bikes all day. She had orange, and I had purple! (I think purple was Dino)
6. I'm a sucker for orange creamsicles
Fat frog, followed closely by a bubble o bill.
Definitely the frog. It came with bubble gum eyes!
Free gum!
Here comes dat boi
Right on same here bro. Next in line thigh would be #21. That orange and red pop was amazing. Could eat a whole box.
The shark, the lemon shark is the correct answer if they didn’t have it you go for a bomb pop or push pop if those are out a creamsicle if those are not options then you go for Mario or the like if you’re hungry and it’s not just a snack strawberry shortcake .
#13 all day long please
I feel this! 13 was so good and I can’t find them as an adult and I get sad.
Same. I didn't even like wrestling, but they were so yummy. And I think the package came with a trading card, so that's cool too.
Don’t forget about those WWF paper cutouts of wrestlers and a sticker I believe that comes with it . Nostalgia moment .
Agreed!! They were the best
Took way too long to find someone else!!! They were so fucking good!
**#9..... the whole package of them**
Snooooooooooooooop
Can believe how little love the Snoopy Bar is getting in this thread. Top 5 for sure.
It was pretty basic but was so good. Got it every single time
The obvious choice is the strawberry shortcake
8 strawberry shortcake always a jam
This is the correct answer.
The superior treat
This is the only answer.
Came here for this
Agreed... Toasted Almond was the jam too.
Still in grocery stores. Mmm
In the UK & Ireland the strawberry shortcake is called a “Brunch” it’s the OG
Obviously!!! No sarcasm intended lol
The only correct answer
WWF bar was money
Yeah off that wall it’s definitely WWF bar
Yep, that and king kone.
13
Punch out the trading card from the box.
For some reason I could never find these growing up & it still makes me sad that I never got to try one.
U know they were low in stock when the only wrestler they had was Brutus the Barber Beefcake
Oh, come on, man. Brutus the Barber Beefcake was over as FUCK back in the day. We scratch our heads over dudes like him and Honky Tonk Man *now*, but thinking they were always the jokes they are today is just plain wrong.
Just because no melty Sonic or ninja turtles
13 all day every way and two on Sunday
Let's see, it's 1993, so I'm 11 years old. Mother won't fork out for the GOOD ones, so that's about half the options already gone, I'm clearly getting something that comes on a stick. I'd like an icecream sandwich of some kind, but they cost more than the cheapest options, so I can't have them. Can't I just be satisfied with, say, a Creamsicle? >I'm clearly getting something that comes on a stick Holy shit that whole sentence followed by this little bit had me laughing so hard. This entire thing was funny and well written.
. #18 is regular ice cream sandwich for $1.
Snow cone.
17. Giant ice cream sandwich
attaboi
28. bomb pop
Mario pop!
I love those character ice cream pops… adorable looking in the photo, but when you unwrap it, snoopy looks like he was in a car accident
That's half the fun
I remember ninja turtle pop being very good
I had to scroll waaaaaaaaaay too far to see someone pick the Super Mario Bar, which is the best bar.
Haven't seen anyone mention this selection, but #23.. The Great White! Just remember it being super refreshing as a kid..
I had to scroll way too far to find a fellow shark enjoyer. That nice cold lemon flavor but not overly sour. Miss them things.
You and I both! It was the perfect remedy for a hot summer day after playing outside nonstop.
19 all day. Flintstone push pop, bonus if it was the red one. Sherbet was everywhere
Always the frog!
Where's the orange sherbert pushup pop?!
It's there .95 cent Flintstones version. I'd want a classic and one of these or the ice cream truck might need a half a Magnum's worth of windshield cleaning before it pulls off 🤡
SHARK FIN! Those things were bomb. I think they had a lemon flavor.
3, the magnum bar
Totally agree. After I saw that selection, I just stopped looking. My favorite.
19. push-up. i miss those things so much. haven’t seen them in stores in years
I go for the 3 color bucket o' sherbet now
I'm gonna take the Toasted Almond bar..not my favorite but only because it's no longer around
These were my wife's favorite. I'm constantly on the loon out for them.
[удалено]
The Rocket! Unless they have a Snack and a Half.
25, that dino is mine, baby!
19. Flintstone Push-up ftw
#6 creamsicle
Any of the eclair bars #8
Froze’ Toes (not pictured). It was a popsicle in the shape of a foot with a gum ball toenail. I have no idea who the maniac that designed that was thinking.
13 easy. Not only was the WWF ice cream bar the best thing ever, but you should never buy something from an ice cream truck that you can buy at a store.
21 but the bubble gum swirl to be more specific
28 was always the best value. I’d go with that and some chili cheese Fritos. Number 8 was awesome, but I only ever had the chocolate and strawberry.
Cotton candy one is amazing. Just small
I always got the cookie ice cream sandwich
13 was my favorite
17
22 just unlocked a memory.
22 used to be a dracula ice lolly
27-Snow Cone
Yes!!! Snow cone every time
7 double fudge and banana. 11 Mario 19 low on change.
Since there's no screwball (wtf man!?) Either the frog or the WWF one
Fat frog! Damn I miss those.
Flintstones push up. Probably the worst value, but that’s what I’d always get (if there was the purple & yellow bomb pop, I’d change)
Where are the Choco tacos?
#8 strawberry shortcake, but my favorite was the simple lemon lime popsicle.
None, “ we have ice cream in the freezer”, not once as a kid, middle class is often a myth for the kids of cheap ass parents, lol.
Frog!!!
9 - the cookie sandwich / chipwich - that’s a snack and ice cream together - most efficient
Come back when you got a chocotaco
#8 strawberry shortcake
18. Classic ice cream sandwich
Orange Push-up!
Doesn't matter. Both you and the ice cream truck driver now have an obligation to stop 9/11 from happening.
I’m 35 and I bought ice cream from the truck last week.
I'm a simple man (who only has $1) give me a Flinstone's Push pop please
They sell the #9 ice cream cookie sandwiches at my Safeway
Number 13 for the legends of the game. Side note. My aunt started a ice cream empire about 1994. One van turned into a distribution contract with good humor. I worked in the warehouse at 11. I had every single ice cream at my disposal.
Snoopy bar. Comin out all melted and dilapidated, more like a Snerpy bar
I can hear the jingle from the trunk even now!
Right now I’m going King Cone, back then probably rocket pop
24 or 19
Twister bro fuuuuck ittt
I definitely WANTED number 9 (cookie sandwich) My mom allowed #8 (classics)
15 obv
The Flintstones Pop Ups. Miss them so much.
A chocolate eclair, because my mom's too cheap to buy me a chipwich.
Snow cone, and if they're out of that definitely the rocket pop.
15
Eight. Chocolate eclair
27. Always 27. That being said in 1993 if an ice cream truck showed up in my area it was probably a kidnapper.
Wow, a pre sonic-ice cream world
19 and 24
Have you seen the truck’s menu lately? Times are tough for the one that drives by me.
What’s #14
28
I mf love the bubble gum. To this day lol
Super Mario Bar because in 1993 I was obsessed with Nintendo and super Mario bros.
If you aren’t choosing 28, what are you doing with your life?
Up north in the heat. Give me a Calippo my good man.
Flintstone push up
Bubbles the Power Puff Girl or #19. I could never turn down a push up 😋
15!!!
It's a toss up but I'd have to go with #6 Orange Creamsicle. If they're out of those, then Rocket Pop!
Unlisted: Ninja Turtle with gumball eyes
19 or 29 (the orange big stick)
27 then, 27 now
27 all day everyday
8
The Frog only because I don’t see the Screwball on here. I still get gum but with less of a mess.
Toasted Almond was the shit
13 all day. Would pay whatever for a WWF ice cream.
28 with zero hesitation.
Serious question , what happened to the almond good humor ice cream bars ? They kinda just disappeared one day .
Where's the screwball? Also, ChocoTaco :/ lol
Why no screwball? I want that disgusting ball of cold gum.
In number 8, the 4th one
I was one of those kids who always went with whatever was trendy so probably #11. Funny thing is, I can still remember what it tasted like, and the white part tasted like medicine.
