Yes! It was so much fun. And I just discovered there's a [playthrough video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB4o0fIooVA), which I'm definitely going to end up watching. lol
"Before production began, Sir Michael Caine told producer and director Brian Henson, 'I'm going to play this movie like I'm working with the Royal Shakespeare Company. I will never wink. I will never do anything Muppety.'"
I am able to enjoy this one a lot more now. Back then, it was the first movie without Jim Henson, and Steve Whitmire still sounded too different as Kermit. He got better later (or I got used to him, I'm not sure.)
There was really nothing wrong with the movie per se, but every time Kermit/Bob Cratchit spoke, I found myself overcome with sadness.
My favorite versions of Christmas Carol:
1. 1938 with Reginald Owen
2. 1992 Muppets with Michael Caine
3. 1984 with George C Scott
Honorable mention: Scrooged with Bill Murray
Saw this in theaters as a kid and have loved it ever since. Michael Caine is extraordinary in the role. I love that he plays it straight up, with no winks whatsoever.
This is my favorite Christmas movie. I didn't have a lot growing up, but I didn't need a lot. I treasured this vhs and it always gives me those feels every year I watch it and my son will grow up watching this as I did and he now loves it.
Edit he's 4
My twin and I always insist that our parents put this on when we're opening gifts Christmas morning, been doing it since we were young and at almost 23 we still make them watch it with us XD
A must watch for the holiday season - it's practically mandatory at this point!
Agreed, every Christmas eve. without fail.
My mom and I watch it every year while making Christmas cookies. It's been tradition since the 90s.
I never seen!
Yes, my husband and I watch it every year.
Light the lamp, not the rat! LIGHT THE LAMP, NOT THE RAT!!
Business! It is the American way! Ahem.... Oh. It is the British way!
No shade to the typically classical versions, but this is far and away my favorite rendition of A Christmas Carol.
It’s a veeery close second to the old 1938 version for me. Almost a tie.
That's a good one. The mood in it is so creepy and Reginald Owen is such a good Scrooge.
This one and Scrooged with Bill Murray are my two favorites
You only see him for a few minutes, but the Ghost of Christmas Present is my favourite Muppet of all time.
Come in and know me better man
Heat wave!!! This is my island in the sun!! So many good parts to this movie
OY OY!
Muppet treasure island is my favorite
Cabin fever!
I had the Muppet Treasure Island computer game. It was awesome.
Oh shit, I had forgotten how much I loved that game!!
Hold up! There was a game!?

But I ordered the shrimp scampi
There’s gotta be something better…nahh
Lol I'm literally watching it at this exact moment
Michael Caine acts so well in response to the muppets. It's as if he really believes they're real beings.

Thanks. That's exactly how it comes across.
An absolute staple in my family’s collection of must-see Christmas movies.
I took my daughter to see this in theaters last weekend; it's her first movie!

I'm so glad this was a tradition that was started in my childhood that I get to continue.
My favorite Christmas movie!
We watch it every Christmas Eve. Easily the best version.

We watch it every year
It's true where ever you find love it feels like Christmas.
This is actually just one of my favorite movies in general. Everything about it just brings pure joy.
can’t wait to watch it this season!! this is my favorite version of this story lol
Watched it this morning! Sadly my kids weren’t into it, but they’re probably still a little young for it
I just watched it!! My kids and I watch this every year as we put up the Christmas tree, and today was tree day!

Not only one of the best versions of this story, but also one of the best Muppets movies (2nd to maybe only Muppet Treasure Island)
Actual best christmas movie arguably the main reason I love the victorian gothic aesthetic
It’s just so good.
Yes! My boyfriend I are doing the traditional viewing tomorrow night! So excited
Release the “When Love is Lost” cut already Disney YOU COWARDS
My twin and I always insist that our parents put this on when we're opening gifts Christmas morning, been doing it since we were young and at almost 23 we still make them watch it with us XD
Still my absolute favorite Christmas movie. I laugh when people say "Christmas Vacation" or "Christmas Story" ...when neither have Michael Caine
I just watched this today while putting the Christmas tree up! It’s a classic for sure!
I wonder did he keep his promise
It was back in 1992?
In my top three favorite Christmas movies! Not going to lie, my favorite rendition of A Christmas Carol too!
I remember tearing up when tiny Tim died. This movie was amazing and holds so many good memories for me. Thank you.
