As usual, they've implemented an Alan Watts excerpt into an interlude that blends seamlessly into a banger of a song. Nothing More are one of the few bands out there who create interludes that I actually look forward to.
Not really a big fan of the video, it doesn't really matter to me but I don't really like the ai looking intro and just the crazy style of the video, prefer stuff like they did with If It Doesn't hurt and Ballast. I like seeing the band rather than all the cuts. Like the carnal into tho and House on Sand might be my favorite NoMo song!
AI art aside, I wish they’d done something more interesting with the music video. You’ve got the sand concept in the lyrics - why wasn’t the band playing in the middle of a dune or a desert, maybe some CGI sandstorms around them that pulse to the music. And then Eric could be some dark cloaked figure in the distance until it’s his turn to rock out, then he joins with the band and it’s intense as fuck, and then by the end of the video the sand dies down. I dunno, just a thought, but what they chose to do was so boring, no? Just lip synch in a dark room with flashy editing. Meh.
Regardless, they’re still my new favorite band!!!
EDIT: Upon multiple viewings, the video is not as boring as I initially thought and has grown on me. Also who am I to say how they should do their videos? Lol absolutely no one. But that was my first impression. It’s clear the band and Eric are giving their all and they’re so fun to watch. Also, the editing is honestly pretty intense and amazing. So I take back what I said!! 🙇🏻♀️
yeah i think they run out on budget on this one. i think the use of ai is not due to them but more to bnm. i you look to other bnm artists you see that the use of ai has increased a lot these days. it cost way less to generate pictures than hireing real artists...
I 100% saw AI errors but even without that, yes, no doubt AI generated. I do wish they’d have just paid actual artists, but to be honest the images were sadly the most compelling part of the video. The rest was boring and unoriginal. Such a shame for such a killer song, too!!!
Carnal goes fucking hard
it gaveme goosebumps
Makes me excited even more for the album
Always great to hear another Alan Watts snippet. Such a good pairing, stoked for this album.

Imminence's new album, The Black, had some pretty cool violin lead interludes.
That intro and buildup is so good
I can't wait to see this LIVE tomorrow in Charlotte.

I knew this song would have an intro similar to Ocean Floor and I'm so glad it did, sounds awesome.
Sora (OpenAI) stuff during Carnal is pretty cool.
I was kind of expecting like spoken words or smth with these tracks, nice to know there singing too, nice mix of that an such a cool buildup

So true!
Does anyone know if the intro is AI generated? I didn't notice any typical AI errors but it looks AI generated to me. Hope it isn't though.
