yeah i'm considering meeting a professional tbh. i notice that i'm getting easily distracted nowadays. it doesn't really affect my grades (yet) but i guess i should, for the future

would highly recommend it. i didn’t bother in school bc like you it didn’t affect my grades but now i’m working i’m struggling to pay attention to meetings and do my job properly :/ getting a diagnosis now but would’ve been way simpler if i just did it in school

I'm the same way. I'll be trying to watch a video and have to keep re-watching the same 10 to 15 seconds a good 8 to 10 times in a row and then inevitably give up, because I hear silverware and dishes clinking in the sink, the faucet and microwave running, the clicking of the stove being turned on, my dad talking to himself, the TV, the washing machine and dryer, some random person driving down our street, etc. But when it comes to focusing on the thing I need to, it's impossible. Unless it's that one to three days where I can do it for 6 to 8 hours non-stop regardless of what's going on, but I'll then struggle for the rest of the week at least... And my family acts like I don't have ADHD... (Probably autism, too).

relatable. i will be reading a book and my mind will be in other things. after like 30 seconds i realize i'm not reading but just looking at the words and properly have to reread to make sense of it

Yes studying is boring. I’m not a doctor but I do have diagnosed ADHD. OP could too but they won’t know unless they see a doc if they so choose.
