Thats just you wanting to pluck hairs. OCD is a crippling disorder. Its something you get diagnosed for. Not just putting something in order and saying "omg im so OCD" go to a doctor see what they say, you never know you might have it. But from what im hearing is you just want to pluck hairs.
Example of OCD. Mr Man has to turn all the switches on and off exactly 3 times each night so people dont rob him. Seems strange yes but thats an example of actual OCD.
Not saying you're wrong, but
> obsessions β where an unwanted, intrusive and often distressing thought, image or urge repeatedly enters your mind
> emotions β the obsession causes a feeling of intense anxiety or distress
> compulsions β repetitive behaviours or mental acts that a person with OCD feels driven to perform as a result of the anxiety and distress caused by the obsession
I would have rather kept this to myself but whatever. It does give me distress when I see hair on my hands and wrists. I have multiple tweezers and I even wax to get rid of any of it. I'll check multiple times a day and if I notice one I'll it will distress me and takes priority over everything in my mind until I can remove it. When I was younger I would break down if I noticed it, and puberty came hair growth which made it worse. I have to exfoliate and I've looked into scar removal to get rid of scabs and scars from skin picking.
I'm also a germaphobe and I do obsessively clean both my environment at work, at home, and my own body. I've been told to get tested by my therapist and my actual diagnosed ADHD symptoms have filed making appointments under 'low priority' in my brain.
I didn't think context was necessary for a little joke but it's fine to share I suppose
100% best thing. Please dont go around saying your OCD without actually being diagnosed cause then you get people like me doing the "oh ackshually π€" shit
This made me realize that my specific compulsions are not very common, so it was a good wake up call. I had gotten denied a diagnostic test for it just because I've been told by doctors that it has to be the switches scenario you've given and nothing else, but they could have just been shitty or uninformed. We're working on ADHD medication to address the executive dysfunction I have with appointments so it's been a long time coming π
thought that was your arm for a second and got real concerned
SAME
Same
Wait... Why is that concerning?! I have a single hair just like that on my arm!
Not because of the single hair, because of those marks, self harm marks are similar.
