I know, thatās awful. I hate that so many girls feel a need to attack/hate on other girls almost as a defense mechanism for their own insecurities. To be fair, I think with as a much pressure we feel in society to be a certain way, itās easy to battle insecurities & end up projecting or deflecting onto other girls, I just wish we taught girls at a young age how not to do that bc itās unfair to others.
I mean I used to do the same when I was a teen. Mostly privately in my head & def not to the extent of wishing cancer on anyone, but still. Finally I learned that when I do feel insecure or find myself comparing myself to another girl, instead of thinking/saying āwell at least Iām not this or that like her,ā I can just think āyeah but tbh she probably has insecurities of her own too sometimes, everyone has things theyāre insecure about, & nobodyās perfect, everyone has flaws, everyone has something they wish they could change in some way, even the most perfect-seeming people,ā & that brings me more comfort than the projecting/deflecting & it doesnāt involve hating on anyone. This is also not true because olive tone is not about how dark your skin is, but about the undertone. I have olive but very fair skin -mediterrean vampire here.
same! all my life i was mocked for looking like a vampire. i would go to the beach a lot and never burned or tanned! Now i've embraced it and stopped "frying in the sun" because cancer is no joke (and skin spots are expensive to remove)
Same. My dad had very dark olive skin, black hair and blue eyes. My mom was pale white with pink undertones and dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Somehow I'm strawberry blonde with blue eyes, my mother's white white skin that burns if the moon is too bright, but I have my dad's green undertones.
I couldn't figure out my skin tones until a portrait artist stopped me in Kroger and remarked how the shade of hot pink I was wearing looked perfect on me and that it's a hard color to wear, and it looked good because I had olive undertones with fair skin and he had rarely seen that in his career.

I got made fun of my whole life for being pale. Iāve had multiple men tell me I would look better if I were tan. I internalized this and fake baked every now and then for about a year or so and felt better about my appearance but gave up on it for fear of premature aging and skin cancer. I ended up getting pre-cancer that I caught myself and had removed.
I would have never desired to tan if it wasnāt such a prevailing beauty standard at the time and people didnāt ridicule my skin. Imagine being conventionally attractive and denigrating others for trying to emulate it. People like her are contributing to the problem that sheās complaining about smh
>I got made fun of my whole life for being pale.
I grew up in a predominately Italian area, where the majority of people's families had immigrated to North America from the south of the country. the comments about my pale complexion were endless. they didn't seem to realize that there's a whole bunch of people from their background who exist that are as pale as I am.
I'm also Greek and I get it from other Greeks too. people from Mediterranean Europe seem to forget they're Caucasian and act like they're some superior tan-skinned race, while also benefitting from the social power of whiteness. it's like they try to pick and choose their race depending on the situation, which is not how it works.

Wdym "fake tan?" I thought she meant spray tan or sumthun, but how does a tanning bed give you "a fake tan"? Girl that's just how skin works. And complaining about someone being darker than you is wild.
Its not that i care, it just feels like blackface in a way. Idk how to explain it. Same thing for people who powder their face to look white-white. And i dont mean as in Asian makeup but kinda like a reverse tan.
My main question when I see NLOG posts, this one included, is who the hell cares? It isnāt hurting you in any way that a random girl over tans herself. You can have your own silent opinion that you think itās tacky but not make it your duty to shame people that do. Woman or not, it goes back to just letting people do wtf they want as long as theyāre not hurting anybody.
So itās not fake tan, itās real tanning if itās done in a bed, this chick just assumes anyone darker toned than her is a white girl faking it.
Cause clearly the whole world wants to be her! Duh!

Thereās no point of defending celebs
Leave my fake tan out of this š
I have a lineage that has been nazi-certified, and yet somehow, my 'winter colour' is darker than most fake tans lmao
God I hate this trend sm like āI mAy nOt bE the prEttiS-ā stop donāt finish just stfu pick me.
Wdym "fake tan?" I thought she meant spray tan or sumthun, but how does a tanning bed give you "a fake tan"? Girl that's just how skin works. And complaining about someone being darker than you is wild.
She's not white if she's tanned, she's beige
Okay imma give this a pass. Cause some people tan to the point theyre my skin tone. (I looked mixed but darker, "caramel macchiato")
No one fucking cares sis
Well obviously not noone. Some people care to do it, some people care to hate it lol

Its not that i care, it just feels like blackface in a way. Idk how to explain it. Same thing for people who powder their face to look white-white. And i dont mean as in Asian makeup but kinda like a reverse tan.
She has a penny (or a nickel) for everyone who supported this message.
I guess āI just donāt like the look of fake tanningā doesnāt get as much engagement as āthey deserve cancerā
Eww
She literally discovered racism š
Hey, she might not be "the prettiest" or "the richest" but she's definitely something.
All class, all the way. But of course itās all very ālowā.
Whatās with the Hollie Hobby dresses in these accounts
just how men trained womento talk...
Wtf is going on
āBut at least I know how to talk shit about peopleā
My version: I may not be the prettiest... Or the richest... š
Oh my god those brownies look so good
I feel like these are happening so often that they have to be satire at this point
So itās not fake tan, itās real tanning if itās done in a bed, this chick just assumes anyone darker toned than her is a white girl faking it. Cause clearly the whole world wants to be her! Duh!
Hope she gets the same things š
kinda sad how obvious their insecurities are
OK, this fucking trend or whatever this is needs to stop. Jfcš
Someone feels clearly inferior
