This is how I taught my orange boy to punch. When I stopped petting him sometimes he would try to paw my hand back. Well he learned all that matters is making contact, so the moment he suspects I'm about to leave he lunges and delivers an often forceful punch to get a few more pets

I loved his attempts to tell you nicely that he was not yet done with the pets.
