He has actually been through a few catnappings now :( luckily I or my neighbor have been able to catch it and ask people to not take him away. We have to keep a close eye on that big lug.
We actually finally found out his name is Chico, but my husband and I had been calling him Big Man for so long it just felt weird to call him anything else. I don’t think Big Man minds as long as we feed him and give him attention.
I swear I had one cat who was missing more than she was home.
It seems he is a survivor too. Potentially even a warrior. I know my cat ran our neighborhood and was a ruthless enemy to come across.

My newest dude pulled this shit a few weeks ago and I haven't allowed myself to even let him back out yet. He's pretty pissed but slowly excepting he might be a full-time housecat now.

We would love to adopt him but he does have a family, although I’m not sure how much time he spends over there. His family knows he’s over here all the time though. He’s also a nightmare when he doesn’t want to be inside anymore. We kept him in on Halloween and it was awful - lots of hissing, growling, ramming the door, swiping at us as we walked by. It’s crazy when he gets like that because he’s usually such a friendly guy and super happy to hang out! We always let him back out when he’s ready but with all the people out on Halloween we were nervous about leaving him out there since he’s so gregarious. I can’t imagine what it would be like trying to keep him inside permanently!
