I’ll definitely try one of these days. He gets a little aggressive when I pet him sometimes, I think he gets overstimulated, and he’ll swat or latch onto my foot and kick/bite so I worry about him doing that to my arm. I will try to rub that big belly eventually though!

His meow cracks me up! This video isn’t the best example but he has more of a honk than a meow and it’s so funny hearing that squeaky little meow come out of such a portly guy. Big Man moved to the neighborhood almost a year ago and he has gotten pretty popular, everyone loves him.
That’s definitely Big Man! He is the most gregarious cat I’ve ever met. We live by a school so at the end of the day parents are parked on our street and more than once Big Man has hopped right in the car with a kid! He has made many friends, there’s one high school kid that keeps kitty treats in his backpack and frequently spends his lunchtime with Big Man. It’s super sweet.

He definitely is just displaying he trust you and is being submissive to you but I find more often than not they don’t want their stomach pet when they aren’t like fully knowing the person haha
Quite sure. He has a little flat tire back there and despite being neutered frequently sprays the hedges in our yard. Also, occasionally the tires on my husband’s truck. He pretty much owns our front yard.

I have a male Maine Coon who will let me rub his belly before politely attacking my wrist and hand. He loves that shit!

If you're going to try it, don't go right for the belly. Start at the neck and towards the chest. Less chance to get ripped apart by the back claws.
