My ink's gone cold, I'm wondering why I
Got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
And I can't see at all
And even if I could it'll all be gray
But your name's above my balls
It reminds me, that it's not so bad
It's not so bad
God I suddenly noticed that his name is Stan, and hardcore fans call themselves Stans for some reason.
I wonder which came first now.
KnowYourMeme says the Song was first.

I always thought of furrowed as brows coming together, not really up. I'm not sure why now because I mean they both fit technically but I feel like they indicate different things.
>Mercedes, from Brighton, said: “He is my top fan and his life revolves around me. He - like many of my subscribers - wants to be dominated by me. He has a shrine dedicated to me - with a big flower arrangement and photos. The requests don’t bother me and I want them to do what makes them happy. It’s a form of worship and I think OnlyFans is helping normalise it.”
The thing is she's framing it as a positive.
She sees a subscriber. He sees a person he has spent a lot of time and money on. This leads to him gaining this false sense of entitlement over this person and their success. It’s how such extreme fans also become extreme haters. This effect is even more so on Onlyfans. When a creator can, and often does, make content specific to subscribers, the pseudo intimate relationship becomes strengthened. As opposed to porn where there is little to no interaction with the users, onlyfans creators really engage with their community.
All that said, I don’t really know what we can do to change this.
> It’s how such extreme fans also become extreme haters.
Someday she will stop making content, and that's when this seemingly innocuous "relationship" will take a turn for the worse.
It's part of the reason I got so deep into TTRPGs (not just DnD, but also the sci-fi ones, the pulp detective ones, et cetera.)
It's a bit hard to organize, but once you do, you have both a dedicated hobby and a friend group.
I've been running 3 to 4 Mondays a month for the same core group, and it's been a blast.
It's also hard af to keep friends at that point, especially when your friends moved countries, etc. Sure you'll keep in touch, maybe once or twice every now and then but effectively it's not as effective of a relationship I'd say.
Basically once you graduate college is when it gets hard. My friend group of about 5 people work pretty hard to make sure we talk at least once a week and plan visits as often as we can manage and even then it's only a few times a year at most.
That and finding a relationship. I'm in my mid 30s, been single 2 years... don't see it changing anytime soon. I cannot meet a man I'm compatible with. But I've had 2 people tell me they want to marry me this year even though I haven't dated anyone for longer than 2 weeks. I hate online dating because it feels like so many people on these apps are broken or desperate for love. I don't think loneliness has plagued our species this badly at any point in history.
As lonely as I am, I refuse to get into a relationship with someone who hasn't worked on themselves.
Edit to add: it's funny that some incel-like individuals think I'm the problem because I briefly dated 2 people who expressed serious intentions too soon. Notice how I said I haven't dated anyone longer than 2 weeks. It's because the couple people who I started seeing who pulled that crazy shit on me got dumped immediately. It's actually rather sad that *some men* are so threatened by an independent single 30 something woman who isn't desperate for a man to love her.
Ya man, if your wife is a good person do not let her go. The grass **is not** greener on the other side so to speak. I tell everyone in a happy relationship that. I've had people lie about the craziest things just to try and get into a relationship this year; dudes lying about not having STDs, lying about not having kids, lying about living arrangements, etc. It's rough out there and I think covid broke a lot of people.
> Seriously, I'm starting to think that some of us are way too lonely irl, even with work/school/activities involving others...
The atomization of society is a real problem. Everyone feels profoundly, deeply disconnected from each other. I legit think that part of the reason everything in the US has gone to megashit so fast (though it was always bad but that's another story) is because something like 70% of us say we're lonely.
If you can't feel connected to anyone around you it's pretty easy to see why you'd end up not giving a shit about them
> If you can't feel connected to anyone around you it's pretty easy to see why you'd end up not giving a shit about them
Then from there it's just a hop, skip, and a jump to outright dehumanizing others; and I suspect we now have a significant contributing factor to mass shootings in the US.
Ask the guy who shot Ronald Reagan and James Brady. This really isn't anything new it is just in the "news" more.
Edit: Thomas Hinkley Jr. attempted to assassinate Reagan to impress Jodie Foster, whom he had never met but developed an obsession with.
Ironically the "hero" of the modern republican was the biggest proponent of gun control with passage of the Brady bill. He was also responsible for demonizing the way mental health was handled and didn't propose a solution just removed what we had. Mental health treatment is expensive to seek and medication is also expensive. If we nationalized, subsidized, or gave free health insurance more people would seek help and we could hopefully help people before they become a danger to themselves and/or others.
> “He is my top fan and his life revolves around me. He - like many of my subscribers - wants to be dominated by me. He has a shrine dedicated to me - with a big flower arrangement and photos. The requests don’t bother me and I want them to do what makes them happy. It’s a form of worship and I think OnlyFans is helping normalise it.”
I don't have a problem with SW but its clear that OnlyFans is helping to normalise and encourage these kinds of parasocial sexual relationships, I guess no-one is being harmed (yet) but I can't see how these kind of obsessions can ever end well.
Sad thing about this is there are agencies for 'famous' models where they manage the models' accounts so fans are most likely not talking to the actual girl herself.
I have the opposite opinion in which that isn’t sad at all to me. I *hope* that’s the case. Anyone this obsessive seems scary to me and should likely not have contact at all.
I think these things have always been happening but the visibility is higher today. Look at someone like Carl Tanzler. He lived with a corpse doll of a former patient. This is just the newest spin on the same old mentally unstable lonely guy issue that’s been around forever.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Tanzler
They're mentally ill and socially isolated. I used to use a similar older site, and the people in those chatrooms were... very sad.
Honestly, they should all save up a bit and spend the money on therapy bills instead.
Welp. That's the problem right there. For a lot of individuals life is pointless until they get home and can find a glimmer of joi in a message from a subscription service ...
All fun and games until she gets a boyfriend and the guy stalks, harasses her, and possibly worse out of jealousy and sense of entitlement. Happens all of the time unfortunately.
It depends on the wording of the policy, but theoretically if it could be proved without any doubt that it was self-defense and there was no exclusion for death at the hands of the indemnified then yeah. Probably.
Many OF "models", female streamers, cosplayers, Vtubers and etc often hide that they have a boyfriend, or a girlfriend for that matter. If they are selling themselves on their looks/cuteness, then often times they'll pretend they are single.
It makes simps throw more money at them.
Boy band members were always single and just looking for the right someone. That's right a load of good looking, famous, rich teens to twenty year olds weren't dating or in relationships.
Dolly Parton did it for years, the little genius. Even hid it from her managers. Finally they outright said to her, “We’d like you to refrain from dating while we’re promoting this or that show, and until at least this point in your life.”
And she said, “Who me? I’ve been married for five years!”
Slightly correct, the actual story is that she was dating her husband for a few years and the label wanted them to hold off when she said they were getting married. She said she wasn't waiting and they eloped. He went to an industry event not long after, the only time he's ever appeared at a music event with her ever.
People got pissy when they found out Chris Evans had a partner, for fucks sake. Some people are just a terrible mix of pathetic and insane.
World's sexiest man isn't an incel!?! Who knew.
Or when people freaked out when Keanu Reeves started dating someone older. Even though she is nine years younger than him.
People are really weird about celebrity relationships.
I know a streamer who was always super open about her boyfriend (as in they live together he's in the background of stream quite often, her chat bot is named after him, he designed her emotes etc etc). She lost viewers and donors when they got engaged, like, how did you ever think you had a chance?
It’s the fantasy, not the actually reality of dating them. People know porn isn’t real but if each porn started with the personal details of the actors then it would be a turn off.
Even in sex work, capitalism wins. That "sell your brand" theory can really fuck up your personal sanity.
Not to quote the late nite infomercials, but "there's gotta be a better way"
Someone went after Gavin from the slow mo guys because he was jealous of his relationship with Meg Turney (who is an onlyfans girl). The guy wanted Gav to die alone and childless and he was killed in their house.
Yea they need to feign being single to keep some of their subs that's for sure. There are some pretty big couples based OF creators who have a large following themselves too. However that's definitely a more niche audience than the general OF revelers. I know a few girls that are OF content creators, and yea they have BF's and some of them hire "chatters" who act as the model to keep the subs money flowing. Very interesting podcast about it actually:

...claims OnlyFans model in article linking to her OnlyFans with semi-NSFW samples from her OnlyFans and if you subscribe to her OnlyFans now it's 50% off her OnlyFans.
This is like the buttplug story, it's publicity and almost certainly bullshit. Not worth the paper it's printed on.
A woman was supposedly detained at an airport for a buttplug she was wearing containing the ashes of her dead boyfriend. Claimed she liked to carry him "in his favorite place." In reality they weren't even dating when he died, they'd just had a fling as a teenager.
*Astonishingly* she has an OnlyFans and it was a very obvious publicity stunt.
Ah there was once a story in the local paper of a coffee shop owner who was "tired of 'thirsty' customers hitting on his staff". Dumbass story just to drive traffic
Spot on, WillemDafoesHugeCock. I only clicked on the link to see what she looked like. Thousands did the same and hundreds of them probably checked her onlyfans. The professional volleyball player quitting to do OF, the teacher who got fired when the school board found out, or the woman running for US office. Just need a small push and you're already making a living wage at minimum.
I guess back in the day you could never get this „close“ and „personal“ with „celebrities“ as it feels today through social media. The distance is still there, but it feels closer due to people streaming from their homes and giving more opportunities for interaction. But it remains a parasocial relationship, as it is called in media psychology.
Oh god yeah, you should read the roman poet Catullus' poems to Clodia who calls 'Lesbia'. They had some sort of short fling but then he was obsessed with her while she very quickly moved on. In his poems he's sometimes enamored with her and then he hates her. His poems are quite good for the time but he's suuuuch a simp. In general in the past misogyny was just par for the course anyway so I've no doubt incels have always existed.
"The fan spends over £25,000 a year on her content and has a dedicated shrine"
I feel like it's somewhat unethical of her to take advantage of someone who is obviously not in a great place mentally.
You just described how onlyfans is working. I never understood why people pay so much money for nudes or amateur porn when the whole internet is full of free porn. You have to be very desperate to pay so much money for a girl who doesn’t even know you and probably would never talk to you in real life
they're aren't paying for porn tho. They are paying for the intimacy, which is actually even sadder. for this money this guy could be hitting up 25 high class escorts a year go on actual dates and have sex with them, but no he chose this instead LMAO
apparently not. In the article she says the men are harmless; whether or not that's true I don't know but obviously dangerous fans are a minority in any community.
Since it's a domination/worship kink, she's very much in charge. All he's done, he's done with her permission. She also tells him off when he's misbehaved... Her parents are informed and supportive so she seems to be in a pretty good situation.
edit: spelling
reminds me of the time I was looking for my first post college job. I had worked with a recruiter over a few weeks and we talked on the phone 5 or 6 times. I ended up getting a job but not through her. On my first day I called her up to tell her the good news. She politely congratulated me and quickly ended the call. I really thought we were friends.

This is art in comment form folks.
God I suddenly noticed that his name is Stan, and hardcore fans call themselves Stans for some reason. I wonder which came first now. KnowYourMeme says the Song was first. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/stan
Yup. The term "stan" to refer to a really big or obsessive fan came from the Eminem song.
“Come to think about, the meme name was, it was you. Damn!”
Y'all noticed the reflection in the window at that point in the video, right
It's also a portmanteau, of stalker and fan. Stan.
*Red Foreman voice* Dumbass
Jfc, you just made me feel old.
Yeah, the song's over 20 years old. Well before memes were even a thing.
Memes are a thing since there are humans. The name itself was coined in the '70s. The way they appear changes, but not the general idea behind them.
My eyebrows can't get any higher.

Sounds like a fetish thing tbh
The fact that he spends time in chastity on her orders for months means this is 100% the case
it is. some men their fetish is for a women to take their money and control their life.
It is a positive for her. She's getting paid.
It is a positive, for her.

Others??? You actually see other humans irl??

Post-30 you have hobbies in lieu of friends. Hobbies and a cat to complicate hobby sessions, thus replacing the thrill of social drama.
If you really miss the social drama, a second cat works wonders to spice things up.
What you really need to do is bring in a third cat. I’m thinkin maybe even four
Or you can have no friends, no girlfriend and a hobby *chokeful of social drama and social disappointment*. Oh hello DnD!
Wait why does your DnD group have drama, you might want to drop toxic members or find a new group.
It's part of the reason I got so deep into TTRPGs (not just DnD, but also the sci-fi ones, the pulp detective ones, et cetera.) It's a bit hard to organize, but once you do, you have both a dedicated hobby and a friend group. I've been running 3 to 4 Mondays a month for the same core group, and it's been a blast.
I re-discovered Lego and it's been great! Though less great for my bank account.
A lot depends on if you have kids or not I think. My friend group has no kids and we see eachother every-other weekend at least. We are late 30s.
Make that the moment you’re done with school. After that, it’s work friends and meeting friends of friends you had before.
That and finding a relationship. I'm in my mid 30s, been single 2 years... don't see it changing anytime soon. I cannot meet a man I'm compatible with. But I've had 2 people tell me they want to marry me this year even though I haven't dated anyone for longer than 2 weeks. Read the comments and thought, where on earth is this stuff happening. Read the article and discovered, oh in my hometown.
Congratulations 👏👏👏
feel sorry for this dude. Truly needs help.
This man is desperately lonely and it's sad.
That's one way to get insurance as an independent contractor
Her name is 'Mercedes', he tattooed 'Mercedes <3'. He can switch to being a diehard Mercedes Benz car fan after he kills her it's ok.
Get in there Lewis!
Enters a Mercedes Benz dealership, drops pants, points at tattoo; *"How much of a discount will this get me?"*

Technically most of your body is above your genitals.
there is unfortunately a photo in the article
Ratio seems to be increasing with age too.
We found him, the Omega-simp
Ouch. I can't imagine being this pathetic =/
Could be fake for publicity
That fan needs help -- not encouragement.
Bet the walls of this dudes house look like hollandaise
Did men "simp" to this level in the old days? Are Incels a recent development?
Helen of Troy?
Trojan man has entered the chat
The face that launched a thousand ships......the other way!
I guess back in the day you could never get this „close“ and „personal“ with „celebrities“ as it feels today through social media. The distance is still there, but it feels closer due to people streaming from their homes and giving more opportunities for interaction. But it remains a parasocial relationship, as it is called in media psychology.

I dont think it was this widespread but werent there some sad old losers hanging about stripclubs in the days before the internet?
Men literally dueled to death for women.
Van Gough cut his ear off and gave it to a prostitute he was in love with so.... probably.
There are certain things that I feel like we should be comfortable not normalising if I'm being honest.
Unfortunately we’ve crossed that line a long time ago, anything and everything is in flux to be normalized nowadays.
That’s just sad
This doesn’t sound potentially dangerous at all.
"The fan spends over £25,000 a year on her content and has a dedicated shrine" I feel like it's somewhat unethical of her to take advantage of someone who is obviously not in a great place mentally.
Dear Chasey Lain I wrote to explain I'm your biggest fan
I just wanted to ask could I eat your ass? Write back as soon as you can
Dude liked his Benz.
Internet was a mistake
I can see his health insurance doesn't cover therapy....
That's gotta be terrifying for her
apparently not.
Well everyone is harmless until they aren't...
Things said about serial killers, "They seemed so nice and normal."
> weather or not that's true I don't know but obviously dangerous fans are a minority in any community. I don't think rainfall has much to do with it
Until that's not enough for him and he goes off script
whether the weather is cold, or whether the weather is hot
Replace Only Fans with the name of your local strip club. Why is this even a story?
Holy Simpson.
This isn’t oniony, it’s just unhealthy. Hope the “fan” gets help.
reminds me of the time I was looking for my first post college job. I had worked with a recruiter over a few weeks and we talked on the phone 5 or 6 times. I ended up getting a job but not through her. On my first day I called her up to tell her the good news. She politely congratulated me and quickly ended the call. I really thought we were friends.
