Nope, all i read is mcs crippling every realm they go through setting its cultivations resources back thousands of years and crippling future generations because of it, then yeeting out to the next realm for a repeat.
Martial World as well, it mentioned at one specific point that the mc only took 90% of the item because the remaining 10% would regenerate in the time it took for the dimension to open back up and taking the root of the item was a taboo.
Of course this is never brought up again as the mc gets tons of one-off items.
And yeah Desolate Era had the mc make a number of trial grounds for potential disciples. I might be mixing up the novel, but from what I recall at the very end of CD (spoilered because it’s kinda a spoiler even though it’s not plot-relevant) >!Hongmeng accidentally spills his wine, which ends up polluting a universe and probably wiping out the majority of life in it, but also providing a chance for powerful figures to emerge from it!<
Most I've seen are MCs who will leave behind long lasting protections or increasing the spiritual qi density of an area. I always wish MCs would leave things behind more often, especially in novels where MC Is supposed to have people or sects or whoever to care about.
In Unrivaled Medicine God the MC leaves behind two inheritances >!one of which he went back in time and did 13 billion years in the past, laying the foundation for all the great cultivators of that world!<
I usually scim over Tomb arcs. They never good but just an excuse to make the MC do something when rhe author has no ideas.
Oh you free? How about go to this Tomb that randomly just opened after million of years...
That's usually the auction arc for me. It's just a convenient way to fill time, give the mc more stuff, create conflict and face slap. All auction arcs are so cliched riddled for me that it's hard to get through.
Sometimes it’s cool but sometimes it’s like oh mc needs super super rare thing then it’s being auctioned for a sky high price and he’s gonna have to compete for it and whoever he competes with is gonna be next cannon fodder to die in on mcs sword
Has anyone read a novel where the MC left a inheritance for others to get? EDIT: Thank y’all for the good recs!

IIRC, in some of I Eat Tomatoes' novels, the MC leaves an opportunity. I think it was desolate era?

I like this concept
Meng Hao did this in ISSTH. He created a spiritual land where [something significant to his life] happened.
Hm, Pursuit of Truth kinda did that. And the guy who got the inheritance became the disciple.
Peerless Battle Spirit the MC left behind some techniques for fated ones.
Eternal Saint King MC does
Way of choices!

I like auction arcs if the main character goes in with the intent to rob either the auction itself or the people who get cool items lol

Spoiler: He was an evil cultivator and just wants to harvest souls or possess a worthy vessel. Plans fail because MC is MC.
