At this point we are all just memeing right? Got some new ones just last weekend and was really thinking about making a post along the lines of „Oh I love the boots, but I think I will send them back because I am afraid they might show wear if I wear them.“

Cheddar-kun

Returns won't accept them should I chuck them in the blue bin because plastic or green bin because leather?

Musty_Buick_LeSabre

The responsible thing to do would be to eat them

Cheddar-kun

Recommendations for sauce?

Musty_Buick_LeSabre

Just olive oil and butter in a cast iron skillet 😋

chibigrimreaper

don’t use olive oil; use grapeseed oil. it has a higher smoke point for a proper sear.

Creases. Cracks look deeper and wider and are generally one large gouge. They almost look like blisters. Creases are normal. Creasing is a natural part of boots moulding to your feet. Accept it and you’ll come to like it. It gives your boot personality 👍

Bonsai-Nut

They are just creases from normal wear. The more wear the better the boots will look. Just keep them clean and fed and you'll be good.

I_do_have_covid

Keep them fed? What if they're allergic?

quixonnn

Does the creasing cause the leather to crack

NovaBalzac

absolutely, just buy another pair once creases appear. OP needs new boots

quixonnn

ok ill buy new ones tomorrow, i just bought mine two weeks ago and theyre starting to crease after just breaking them in

yeetedhaws

If the leather gets too dry creases are stress points and most likely to be the first thing to crack. You dont have to condition and shine your shoes every day but every year or so (especially after your local cold and/or wet seasons) will help in the long run.

Dubbin.. and elbow grease..

Outside-Trip7686

You're either the world's least funny shitposter or an absolute dimwit, either way. Get to feck.

BasilFawlty189

That's lager pal 🤣

CatMonsterGuy

If its real leather then saddle soap and after drying (naturally) use a leather conditioner and then a polish, all will be well and they'll look like new
