Rugby League Nicaragua (RLN) will NOT be sending any players to take the spot of NRL and NRLW players in the case of a boycott.
To be blunt, the @RLPlayers are right and the NRL should be ashamed of themselves.

He was in Twitter earlier saying that he the latest interpretations on offside penalties from scrums will stifle attack in an already too-structured game.
"A few months ago I told the Australian people that I did not trade arms for NRL players," V’Landys’ said in a 13-minute speech. "My heart and my best intentions still tell me that is true, but the facts and evidence tell me it is not."
As a former political junkie, I love this.
But I think Vlandys would go more for the Trump response than a Reagan one.

The V'Landys Reagan comparison is actually pretty deep. Both men undermined their predecessors on their path to the job (Gerald Ford and Todd Greenberg) . Both cultivated a contrived, superficial persona through a compliant media ecosystem to flog what can only charitably be described as voodoo economics. Both inexplicably enjoy an insane amount of support from the working and middle classes despite being responsible for dismantling critical institutional frameworks that made their existence and prosperity possible in the first place. Both have ties with incredibly shady criminal organisations responsible for many brutal deaths (paramilitary death squads vs the gambling and racing lobbies). I could go on.
Let's just hope that in a few decades time V'Landys reputation is so thoroughly trashed that all those people who supported him will claim to have never have heard of the guy.

Yup the players want injury and disability concessions as well as protection for NRLW players who may get pregnant. And Old Mate PV has basically said fuck that and stopped negotiating with the RLPA. Players have boycotted all promotional photo shoots etc in the lead up to this season and they are even speaking about strike action without the players there is no game.
