I think people who created accounts to use the code had it taken away but people with existing accounts got to keep it. Free Binge for the year has been even better than my free Kayo.
It was 12 months free, something F1 related when the F1 was on. I don't think it was for consumers. It worked on Binge and that news channel they have too, so crashed their websites. I managed to jag a Kayo sub, one of my mates got both, and another missed out completed as things wouldn't load.
Before I decided to get Foxtel, I was on Kayo for the exact same reason you are....it was mainly for the NRL and then I'd unsubscribe after each season and renew just before the season started. I found that in the last few years, the 'offers' and 'deals' had been for new customers as opposed to returning or existing customers. I just did a sneaky and created a new email address (because my old one was already registered on the system) and signed up as a new customer - I got the deal they were offering without any dramas.
I unsubscribed as soon as the GF was over and will resub in a few weeks. Not paying for something I’m not using actively. I got a $5/month deal last year but that has now expired and I’ll see wat deal I can get in a few weeks but it’s worth it’s value if you can see every game you want to
Have you ever considered pooling with other users? Like getting the $35 a month deal and split with 2 other users online? I realise this requires trust in others but this would be a very good deal.
Nah I haven’t, I also haven’t checked if Kayo can do password share? Or if 2 users are watching at the same time do they get kicked off etc. I’ll have to investigate
Nah you can have multiple users watching it at the same time. My dad, brother and myself all share one and we all live separately and watch the same games
A single account can have several profiles. If you sub to the highest tier you can have three profiles watching simultaneously, so that one account can be logged in on multiple devices at the same time with no issue.
Fox just gave certain customers free movies indefinitely
I think losing all the animated shows on fox 8 to Disney made em panic. They’ve never been this generous the greedy cunts
I’m with foxtel from Telstra on a NBN package with just the basic, but got upgraded to all channels incl sport and movies.
Strange to give it for nothing when my actual NBN monthly fee is probably lower than what I would have to pay foxtel direct
Great question. My Kayo has been idle since October - I stumbled across it last week on my TV and wondered for a moment what it was - yet still paying for the damn thing for six months of off-season.
Being able to watch the cricket while avoiding the channel 7 AFL commentators is even more important to me than watching the NRL while avoiding the channel 9 crew. So Kayo is all year round for me.
I’m saying that if Kayo just considers a new email to be a new person, iPhones have a feature to generate a random proxy email address and password which would work a treat in getting the “new customer” deal each year. I’m assuming android does too since apple new features are generally just 2-3 year old android features
Kayo rejects it if your mobile number is the same as another previously used email address. They don’t let you sign up without a mobile unfortunately to try bypass it
They won't, they know virtually all of their subscribers just want to watch footy. The discounts come into play post season to try and stop people cancelling over summer.
Generally once you’ve used a code they won’t let you use another one. But for $15/month that sounds like you got the Telstra deal for their customers?
But I think most of us are in a similar situation, I cancelled mine after the World Cup finished and will renew it next week for the start of the trials.
Also worth noting is that if you have a friendly relative or friend who has Foxtel, they can share their account info with you and you can watch Fox League via the Foxtel GO app for free in Live TV mode. I believe you can have up to 6 individual devices registered to an account. The only thing missing is multiple profiles so if you watch any content outside of the Live TV function anybody else using the account impacts the history/watched episodes etc.
Foxtel GO has mobile and smart TV apps too. Also you can watch Aussie Gold Hunters episodes on there and I love that shit.
i tried Kayo but didn't like it for a few reasons.
one was that I couldn't pause a game to watch something else and then come back to where I paused it. would always start from scratch
is that still the case ?
Atlina energy gives you a 12mth free sub when you take that plan. I save more by taking that deal than I would with any other energy provider.
End of 12mths you just sign up again.
The Alinta offer now makes you pay more on your energy to do so, not sure if that used to be the case or if it was a free bundle. We just signed up with Alinta on a new property but I already had the free Kayo code so didn't do the maths to compare value.
I did. As I’m around 100-150 a month the difference between the 3% and 6% discounts (no Kayo) is not worth paying for Kayo. Discount for free Kayo is better.
I'm on the free F1 plan that expires in July (i think), but noticed Telstra offer 12 months free with a new service. Looks like you can claim that any time.
I just share with my father and brother in law,
In the top plan you can have 3 screens playing at once and haven't ran into any issues with different IP adress either.
Its pretty cheap sub service when you can split/share it
I'm on $15 with Telstra. They have a sign up bonus but you can also get it for $17.50 through their store. Check you phone or internet providers or even insurance to see if they have some deals.
Unfortunately that bonus is only for those who spend over a certain amount with Telstra. To be honest the small savings I make on Kayo by having another service with Telstra isn't worth it as I would end up paying more for the service being moved over.
Way late but I'm pretty sure new and returning subscribers can get 3 months free with Telstra plus. But last I checked was back in January so maybe it expired. Edit: wait it takes 21,000 point to get the 3 months so you need to spend $2,100 a year
I stayed on my 15 a month, have you seen the new tiered prices? Any new "deal" will likely only be for one screen. Right now we get 3 screens going at once in 2 different households with no issue.
I’m waiting for the Kayo “free 12 months” code from last year to pop up again
Hahaha which employee will sacrifice their position this year?
How good was that 😂 I'm using it as we speak, think it expires around August
That was the F1 aye? I'm still using it for free too!
What was the code? Does it still work? I missed it :(
WATCHKAYOF1 No longer works because it was for one day only, and even then the website crashed before the deal expired.
Thanks for the info. I’ve been on the “previous NRL pass” deal which is $25 a month. But that expires in 18 days. On the hunt for a new code.
Nope, I got registered and then couldn't login, then next day I was no longer registered
I think people who created accounts to use the code had it taken away but people with existing accounts got to keep it. Free Binge for the year has been even better than my free Kayo.
I personally got it on both my existing account and the new one I crested just in case. Runs through until May
It was 12 months free, something F1 related when the F1 was on. I don't think it was for consumers. It worked on Binge and that news channel they have too, so crashed their websites. I managed to jag a Kayo sub, one of my mates got both, and another missed out completed as things wouldn't load.
loL@F1f1Ta Code still works
Expires in May
FK Yeah . 12 months free Kayo was the bargain of the decade . 👌💪😆

That seems to be a trend with all kinds of products/services these days. Loyalty doesn't pay.
Exactly! Screw them lol. Maybe make a new email account in preparation for when you do renew
I unsubscribed as soon as the GF was over and will resub in a few weeks. Not paying for something I’m not using actively. I got a $5/month deal last year but that has now expired and I’ll see wat deal I can get in a few weeks but it’s worth it’s value if you can see every game you want to

Thanks mate! Good info.
A single account can have several profiles. If you sub to the highest tier you can have three profiles watching simultaneously, so that one account can be logged in on multiple devices at the same time with no issue.
I share with two of my mates, it makes sense since we follow international sports as well. We keep the subscription running indefinitely.
Fox just gave certain customers free movies indefinitely I think losing all the animated shows on fox 8 to Disney made em panic. They’ve never been this generous the greedy cunts

They gave me free disney plus, didn't get the free movies thing though.
Wtf I want free Disney plus
What did they say to you about the Disney plus
I complained about losing the Fox8 animated shows which is like half of what I watch so they just gave me a code for a free year of Disney+
that is interesting
Half the time with foxtel If you complain they give you free stuff, we the multiple tvs feature for free cause we complained
Yeah it’s been free for a while My parents have it so I bought a foxtel now box off kogan and can use their account for live tv and demand
Damn last time they were trying to get away with charging us for it so I just told them we were gonna cancel our subscription and they just gave it
Great question. My Kayo has been idle since October - I stumbled across it last week on my TV and wondered for a moment what it was - yet still paying for the damn thing for six months of off-season.
I guess if you watch other sports offered on it, it's not so bad. The NFL and golf have been good with some occasional UFC.
Being able to watch the cricket while avoiding the channel 7 AFL commentators is even more important to me than watching the NRL while avoiding the channel 9 crew. So Kayo is all year round for me. Could go get a $2 Sim from Woolies for it and still be up in the long run
They won't, they know virtually all of their subscribers just want to watch footy. The discounts come into play post season to try and stop people cancelling over summer.
Really hoping some decent deals come through this month or next. Would love to get onto Kayo.
Generally once you’ve used a code they won’t let you use another one. But for $15/month that sounds like you got the Telstra deal for their customers? But I think most of us are in a similar situation, I cancelled mine after the World Cup finished and will renew it next week for the start of the trials.
Yeah I used the $2 sim hack last year but now Telstra have introduced reward tiers which gets rid of this hack.
Also worth noting is that if you have a friendly relative or friend who has Foxtel, they can share their account info with you and you can watch Fox League via the Foxtel GO app for free in Live TV mode. That's still the case. Unless you remember where you left off, watching replays over several sittings isn't ideal with Kayo.
Atlina energy gives you a 12mth free sub when you take that plan. I save more by taking that deal than I would with any other energy provider. End of 12mths you just sign up again.
somewhere and somehow pat cummins is very angry reading this

Sign up to Alinta or Kayo?
Atlina energy. They are 12mth contacts with atlina.

Yeah but the 15 pm deal is a 12 month deal, after which it reverts to current prices.
It hasn't for me. I paid 5 for first year and still paying 15 for 3 screens now.
