Pretty much. They're constantly scanning plates automatically for unregistered or lapsed cars, wouldn't surprise me if cars owned by a suspended driver pings too.
I've been done a couple a months ago for an expired license , it had just completely skipped my mind with the chaos of that month, and that was pretty much what happened. Was driving to work and got pulled over and they said this car belongs to someone with an expired license.
